I know it's weird to have a favorite Jiffy Lube, but this is my favorite Jiffy Lube. It's super quick-- each time I've been by, it's been less than half an hour. I always get the full synthetic with a $10 off coupon, and it's always the same price. With regard to the techs-- I mean, they're not the fluffiest of people, but they're courteous, and I have no complaints. Something I really appreciate it, I've never felt pressured on the "extras" when I've said "no". Not pleased. I'd been putting off getting a routine oil change, but when I saw a "LOW TIRE PRESSURE" alert, I brought it in here and pointed that out. The person I spoke with the most seemed determined to speak as softly and incoherently as possible. It was the very definition of "phoning it in". After that was done, I was sent on my way with no further discussion. Unfortunately, a few miles later, I got a flat tire. Not their fault, but they clearly didn't even look at why I got a warning about tire pressure. I sure would have preferred to deal with the problem right then, rather than actually break down on the side of the road. But no, they just wanted to churn me through with as close as possible to no effort. I don't trust them at all, and I won't return. read more

Avoid this location!!!!! I pulled in because they had a sign up $29.99 oil change. When they had me in the shop they told me $45.99. I asked why they said it just cost a little more..... why....? No reason! I told them never mind and as I was pulling away they yelled out " you're cheap!" This was clearly false advertising and I would highly recommend that folks avoid this location for dishonest advertising, poor conduct, disrespect and taking advantage of folks who don't have the guts to walk away form their store! read more

Never going here again. Unprofessional and dishonest. The first time two of the employees were fighting and making fun of another employee and took it way too far. The employee was visibly upset. Extremely unprofessional. I called and reported the incident to the manager and he assured me he would be talking to both of them. The next time I came in the person I had reported was the one That was handling my oil change. I got home and realized there was no coolant in my car. No leaks or anything. They had drained my coolant. I called again and was told by the manager that Noah (the employee who I complained about the first time, and the one who changed my oil the time I ended up with no coolant) had been fired. The manager assured me that he had been let go and threw him under the bus about not doing his job well (also a really unprofessional thing to do). Went one more time, since it seemed like they had taken the appropriate action. I pull my car in and the kid who the manager INSISTED was fired, was working and was one of the employees working on my car AGAIN. Unbelievable! Not happy. Unprofessional, dishonest, and completely untrustworthy. Never going back to this or any other jiffy lube. read more

I called in to see how much an oil change would be and the guy who answered the phone said $42.99, so I decided to give them a try. I pulled my car in and the guy that greeted me told me that it was $47.99. I told him I just called in and the person who answered the phone said it was $42.99. He said because I got a 4wheel drive that it would cost $47.99. He open my hood and said that I would need the synthetic oil because it says that on my oil cap. Synthetic oil change would cost me $79.99. This place just doesn't seem to honest with the their pricing. Get you in only to up charge you. I would never step into a JL ever again. read more

Arrived here at 6:15. They close at 7. There were two cars ahead of me. An employee came out, I told him I just wanted an oil change and he told me they might not get to me by 7. I asked if that meant that, if I waited there for 45 minutes and they didn't get to me, they were just going to send me home. He said yes. I told him that I'd been getting my oil changed there for a few years and that, if Ieft, I wouldn't be back. He shrugged and said "Not my money." That's an exact quote. Had to ask them if they found any leaks in my car while they were trying to push me out and THEN they mention that I have a major leak in my oil line ... what. I went here at about 8 am during a week day and was able to get my car in right away. This was about the only positive. The service person was trying a major up sale. Every time I told the sales person I didn't want something he had some stupid remark. They had a sale on oil changes for $31 but after having them replace my wiper blades and got the upgrade on oil I was at closer to 100 bucks. I've never paid so much for an oil change in my life. Also part of the oil change they are supposed to inspect a bunch of things and vacuum the floors. It was obvious thy skipped that part. This will be the last time I will go to jiffy lube! When you run a sale on oil changes for $31 I want an oil change for $31! read more

I am writing because my boyfriend and I had our oil changed at the West 7th Street location (store 1135, St. Paul, MN) on March 26, 2014. Over the next few days, my truck began to make noise. On March 30, 2014 the check oil light came on (we checked the oil, it seemed there was still oil in there), so we headed back to the store to get it checked out. On the way to the store, we ended up breaking down on the side of the road. We were towed into Jiffy Lube, and the technician informed us the oil had drained out. The technician added more oil to our truck (he was the same technician who changed the oil on 3/26). The technician made sure to ask us whether we "have an enemy who loosened the plug". Following the employee adding more oil to our truck, we restarted it, and it sounded terrible. We left the truck there as to not cause further damage. The district manager of the store told us he would have an insurance adjuster come and inspect the vehicle over the following week. The report findings mailed to us contain, in my opinion, contradictory information. As the cover letter to the report states: "We sent a third party investigator to inspect your vehicle. The report states that the cause of failure is, 'Loss of oil due to loose drain plug, drain plug may have been tampered with as there is no oil blowback on the undercarriage which you would see if a drain plug is loose while vehicle is operating. The engine is running properly at this time'. The damage to your vehicle is not a result of your services performed at Jiffy Lube". This proves to be contradictory as the word "failure" is first used to describe the condition of the vehicle, yet they state the engine is running properly. Also, one sentence later they admit there IS damage to our vehicle, although one sentence before, said the engine is running properly. The letter also admits the drain plug was loose. We finally picked up our truck, and the truck was still making noise. As a result, we brought the truck into another mechanic, who stated my truck needs a whole new engine, estimated to cost near $3,000. The district manager holds his ground that the truck makes no sound and that Jiffy Lube will not be doing anything further to make this right or look into the matter -- which I find unacceptable. His report states that my oil could not have drained out while driving as there was no blowback. My question is whether or not it is relevant when exactly the oil drained out, while I was driving, or while my truck was parked somewhere, as many people do not always inspect under his or her vehicle before driving. The place/time of drainage is not relevant in my eyes -- what is relevant to me is that the oil DID drain out and caused engine damage to my vehicle. The fact there was no blowback simply tells to me it must have drained while parked. Furthermore, the report states the drain plug MAY have been tampered with -- indicating it also MAY have been a mistake on Jiffy Lube's end. Jiffy Lube's main defense in this dispute is the lack of blowback on the undercarriage. I feel that is an inadequate response to an expensive problem, especially considering oil can drain while parked or moving, and the fact we left our vehicle in the care of Jiffy Lube immediately following the incident of breaking down on the side of the road. It seems sketchy that this is Jiffy Lube's main defense when the first person to get under the vehicle following the mishap was the same employee who changed the oil in the first place. I am stating this because there is a possibility there was blowback which could have been wiped clean to avoid having to pay for damages. Regardless, the real problem has NOTHING to do with blowback, the problem is that the oil drained out due to a loose drain plug that should have been tightened by a Jiffy Lube employee after the initial oil-change service. I do not believe this is good customer service or something that should be tolerated by any customer entrusting his or her vehicle to an oil change company. I believe I am entitled to payment for the work that must be done to my engine because of the mistake made by a Jiffy Lube employee. The company does not want to make this right or take responsibility for their mistake, and as a result, I have been without a working vehicle since March 30, 2014. We have called and left numerous messages, and still no response. I trusted Jiffy Lube with my vehicle, and now I will be out close to $3,000 if this is not resolved. read more

I live just a few blocks away and this is my go-to for oil changes for my SUV. They've always done a great job for me - good, fast service. Knew what the green valve stem caps on my tires meant and to leave them alone. Laughed politely when I asked if Oil of Olay would give my engine renewed life. You go through the usual up-sell routine but they aren't obnoxious about it. Pricing can run a bit steep but keep your eye out for coupons in local rags. Nice waiting room where you can read mags, have coffee, keep an eye on your car, and diddle with your iPhone while you wait. read more

Do not take your car here. We recently received an oil change before driving home for the holidays. The oil change wasn't completed correctly. 200 miles into our drive we had a stranger flag us down on the highway to tell us our car was smoking. Upon inspection, oil was spraying all over the engine because the o-rings were not installed properly. Catastrophe was avoided only because a stranger that flagged us down on the highway and had us pull over and follow us to a auto parts store to redo the oil change. We had to add 5 quarts of oil and change out the o-rings. Thankfully nobody was hurt but the due to gross negligence of this jiffy lube, I cannot recommend this operation. When I came in to ask them to reimburse me for my added expense touted, the employees were rude and said they didn't do anything wrong. DO NOT take your your car here. read more

I went to store #1135 today and had a terrible experience. First, I had a voucher from a class action settlement that I wanted to use. The store's sign indicated that oil changes were $24.99. There was no other price listed in the area where I entered with my vehicle. AFTER draining the oil from my vehicle, the manager informed me that (a) an oil change was $62+, and (b) my voucher could not be used against a $24.99 oil change because that was a "promotion" (even though there was no other language to indicate that that price was only a promotional price). When I said that I only wanted the $24.99 oil change, the manager would not sell me that option, insisting that the cheapest oil change was $40+, and he mocked my choice, sarcastically asking me "Oh, you want the least protection?" When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the fact that he would not sell me a $24.99 oil change, as advertised on their sign, the manager became belligerent and dismissive of my concerns. At that point, they had already taken the oil out of my vehicle, so I had no choice but to pay the $28.04 ($45.33 less the $17.29 voucher) and leave. I do not know whether it is official Jiffy Lube policy to hide and lie about the company's prices and to drain the oil before customers have an opportunity to understand the various packages available (or not available) to them, thereby holding the customers virtually hostage to arm-twisting sales tactics, but I believe this is a scam, pure and simple. It is inexcusable. I will never use Jiffy Lube again. read more
