From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and exceptional thanks largely to Trenton, whose customer service truly stood out. Trenton took the time to explain each step of the repair process in detail. His professionalism and kindness made what could have been a stressful situation incredibly smooth. The quality of the work performed on my truck was impeccable. They actually fixed some issues that were leftover from a different mechanic. They did so without charging for anything unnecessary. What really sets them apart, however, is the commitment to transparency and communication. Every update and explanation from Trenton came promptly without any confusion. Their pricing is competitive to other quotes we have received. The work was done on time, and vehicles have been running perfect since the work was done. What stood out the most was their integrity - you can tell they genuinely care about doing right by their customers. On our most recent visit, we had a check engine light came on, and a local automotive retailer ran the code as a purge valve issue. Here Bruce's ran a pressure test, and it came back negative. They assured nothing was wrong the car, reset the computer and didn't charge us! It's rare to find this level of honesty in this industry. We will always choose Bruce's and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, fairly priced auto service.

I mentioned that I had had a diagnosis made for my tailgate by Wilder Auto. Brandon recommended that I have him do another diagnosis for the same problem for an additional 170.00. Turns out he was the service manager for Wilder. I felt like this was padding the bill. He also did not have his hourly rate posted nor was it listed on the invoice. I will not be returning. I had been using Bruce's for years so this is real loss.

The work and service were excellent. I'm happy to know I can get such great service easily. Saved me hours of travel and I only saw one person so my exposure was minimal and safer than the option of going the dealer.

    On a Monday our car started knocking really bad, we called a tow truck and we happened to be close…read moreto European AutoWerks, so we had it towed there. The tow truck driver left the lights (or 4-way flashers) on and killed the battery. So the tech brought a booster box to jump it and started it. They heard the knocking and turned it off in less than 60 seconds. They said there was obviously major engine problems and they didn't feel it was advisable to run it any longer. I believe they hooked up a code reader but I was not informed if it showed anything or not. We had an extended warranty through a separate company, so I gave them the information and they called to try to get approval to do the work. I don't think they were on the phone for even 30 minutes. They were told to get a price quote to replace the engine. At that point two of the techs discussed at length whether or not they could say it needed a new engine without further diagnostic. They told me they needed 3 hours of labor at over $200.00 per hour, to pull the whole engine apart to determine if it could be rebuilt or it needed to be replaced. At this point I received an important call and stepped out to take the call, I ended up spending 30 to 45 minutes on the call. When I went back in they said they made a couple of calls and the cheapest engine they could find was $2000.00 and I would have to pick it up in Tacoma. I told them the most I might be able to come up with was $1000.00. They said most of that would be used up with the diagnostic. While we were having that conversation, the extended warranty company called me to tell me they wouldn't cover more than $450.00. After that, the techs and I spent quite awhile discussing my options (or lack there of). But I ultimately told them that we didn't have enough to do anything then and said we might try to trade it in (even though we still owed on it). I asked if they could recommend a dealer that might take it. They said they weren't sure but would make a couple of calls. I told them I was working Tuesday & Wednesday, and asked if I could leave the car there until Thursday so I could make arrangements to have it towed. They said that would be fine but no longer. Then they mentioned that I would have to pay before I could take the car. I was totally shocked that they wanted to charge me for the 60 second diagnostic. I asked how much and they said the car had been there for 3 hours at that point and I should be paying them for the 3 hours. Then they acted like they felt bad for me and said they would give me a break and only charge me for 1 hour. I went ahead and payed the $210.85 and left. The next morning before 9:00am I get a message that they wanted me to get the car out of their parking lot. When I called them to tell them I was working on arrangements to get it towed, they said that the boss offered to buy the car for $100.00. Which was a major insult since they had charged me over $200.00 the day before for doing absolutely nothing, other than making a couple of phone calls.
