We recalled that we had gotten a repair from Rusty's years earlier, so we found the relocated shop. Leon put the car on a lift and in seconds removed the small rock inside the brake which solved the problem. Wonderful service! When I returned home I found the record of our harmonic balancer repair on the same car by Leon in August 2006 in a hand-written note. Our car had died in the Red Lion parking lot and Leon had insisted that he would tow our car to the shop for fear of driving it might cause serious damage. We then left our car in Pt Angeles while we rented a car and went camping for 3 days at Shi Shi Beach. When we returned Leon had repaired our car and we still have it! So, kudos to Leon at Rusty's for providing us with marvelous service for the past 19 years.

Man am I glad I did, turns out it doesn't show codes and was extremely unsafe to drive. They had to plug it up just so I could safely make it home. They told me not to drive it for my safety and I was able to get it to them the following week. The diagnostic process alone sold me, they take pictures of everything. Show you what problems exist and what you really need to fix or what can wait. They are family owned and you can tell they actually care, they want your vehicle to be safe to drive and don't try to oversell additional services. I felt comfortable and welcome during the whole process. I wouldn't say they are cheep but they are fair, efficient, kind and get the job done right.

I called them this morning, and they offered me an appointment after explaining the diagnostic process. I was happy to wait the two weeks until the appointment, I know how business works and I am not above the others in line. However, when I asked "is it safe to commute 100 miles per day until then"....Savannah almost immediately put me on hold to speak with her supervisor. She came back and asked if they could see it TOMORROW instead. The feeling of impending doom that comes with an unknown car issue, had my voice wavering on the phone trying to hold it together. She must have felt it, and switched into compassion mode very quickly and made me feel heard and validated when I needed it the most. I haven't even had the service work done, and I already know that I made the right choice in coming to them.

I'm from out of town and broke down on my way into PA due to a shop back at home doing a bad job…read morewith a clutch install. I first went to a different shop in PA which sent me here because they thought the whole transmission was bad (I was skeptical of this because to me it really felt like the clutch was slipping, but I figured a transmission place would still be able to work on a clutch, whereas a regular shop might not be able to do transmission work if that was actually the problem). Bayview could have taken advantage of me because they knew I was stuck out of town and had a 2-3 week lead time for most work. They also could have told me that it was the transmission and charged a lot for fixing that. However, they agreed that it was just the clutch and got me in and out with a new clutch in under 2 days. Being a city slicker, I also ended up actually saving money overall, since labor charges are relatively low here compared to in Seattle. The new clutch felt great from the start (unlike the bad one that grated and crunched in 1 and R from the beginning, which the installers refused to acknowledge, despite the grating and crunching continuing for almost 2 years) and has been performing as expected since. If I ever needed a transmission rebuild that wasn't an emergency situation, I might honestly consider coming out here for the work and making a trip out of it. Also, the desk people were super nice!
