Had a good experience at this location. Hugo was super professional even when I balked initially at the $150 or so cost of the oil change which I later found out is very normal these days. I am old enough to remember the $29 oil changes and have since those days leased my cars where I don't have to think of the cost so had no idea. Again Hugo was very willing to explain everything which I appreciated. In and out of there in about 30 minutes and the windshield wiper fluid light was no longer on. They had topped that off and apparently the coolant too! One less thing for me to take care of today. read more

Solid spot for an oil change & tire rotation service. I usually come here on a weekday before 5pm and they work very quickly. Usually service is supposed to come with a car interior vacuum and window clean but it's hit or miss, I think you have to really express that you want it when you're getting checked out to remind them and make sure it gets done. There's also usually coupons online for discounts so make sure you check before going in! read more

Solid location! I just needed a headlight bulb swapped out and they had me in and out in under 15 minutes. Staff was friendly and wait room was clean. read more

Very happy with a recent tune up. Quote (over the phone) was accurate and they didn't try to upsell. Friendly and efficient staff. Also, after I dropped off my car, they didn't have me waiting around for a phone call all day, they said it would take a couple hours and that's pretty much how long it took. Just easy and straightforward. I'll be going to the Van Ness location for all service now. (I almost didn't go here because I'd called a different Jiffy Lube in the city and they couldn't even tell me if they were able to change the spark plugs on a....................Toyota Corolla. Maybe they were having a bad day? They were also weird and reluctant about giving me a quote over the phone. Not all locations are equal I guess.) read more

I had a really great experience at this location yesterday. Came by on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't very crowded at all. Only took about 30 mins to get my oil changed, and I love the extra touch of them vacuuming the floors. Everyone I spoke with was really kind, and they didn't even try to upsell anything to me. Cost of an oil change in general seems ludicrous to me, but they were on par with other places I've gone in the Bay Area so this is just what it is now. Make sure you check online for any coupons. Would definitely come back again! read more

In and out in less than 30 minutes! Always call before hand and check to see if they're busy. Tire elation was $39 and full synthetic was $159. Before you go check for coupons on their website. They usually have some read more

Jiffy Lube - Coupon from website - Auto Repair Near Me - San Francisco, California

I've gone to this Jiffy Lube for years and it's the best. They are super efficient- you generally get seen right away and they work fast. They are also very thorough- this last time, they flagged a couple things to me, one of which was critical to get fixed by my regular auto shop. The crew here are also very nice - they don't do the hard upsell that other locations do. I appreciate that this location is so close to home and is a great value! read more

Consistently quick and easy service. Have been here many times for an oil change. Never had a problem.

I always come here for all of my car service needs! Wilson is amazing and able to explain what my car needs like I'm 5 :) Affordable and reliable, nothing bad to say about this place! read more

Very fast service. Knowledgeable staff. Ended up doing a long overdue brake job as well so highly recommend other services available. Best value oil change in San Francisco. read more

Be watchful of the bait and switch. You can't trust the estimates they give in their website. I was quoted $49 more when I arrived and told that it was because of the type of car I have even though I had submitted my vehicle information before receiving an estimate online. read more

I thought I needed a new headlight and it turns out some of the prongs in the old casing were just bent...After trying a few new bulbs they figured it out and fixed it free of charge! So nice and patient! I come here for oil changes too, and they're very reasonably priced especially when you use the online coupons. (p.s. I wanted to give a shout out to the guy but forgot to ask his name so it was whoever was working at the front today, 5/17 at around 5 pm! Thanks man!) read more

Such pros! The last time I went to Jiffy Lube (Geary location -- good place, generally), they didn't put the bolts back on the car splash guard. Well, after my husband's duck tape fix gave up, I was driving home from across town this evening with the splash scraping the road...I called the nearest Jiffy Lube. The guy on the phone at the Van Ness location convinced me to come by so they could restore the bolts properly. They saved the day! And my husband' from a very annoyed me. read more

For over a year, I've asked each mechanic or service shop I've done business with to check my transmission fluid. In each case--at chain oilchangers and independent shops--they couldn't find a dipstick and didn't know what to do. I ended up just paying for the service I'd come in for--oil change, brakes, 19 pvi--and waiting until next time. I couldn't wait any longer because my car was idling roughly, sometimes lugging on acceleration, and it felt like, occasionally, the transmission wasn't properly engaging. I brought my 2014 RAV4 to Jiffylube in SF (on Van Ness), and I finally found techs who knew what to do! Steve replaced the very low transmission fluid this morning--and the rough idle is gone. Gone, too, is the lugging on acceleration, and the transmission is now engaging properly. I am so lucky no apparent damage was done while tech after tech--and private shop after chain shop--completely dropped the ball on my transmission fluid. Knowledgeable, professional care at an affordable price seem to be a hallmark of both Jiffylubes I've done business with this month. Thank you so much to the people at Jiffylube! So grateful you're such pros! read more

Came in for a check engine light after getting an oil change shortly before at this location. They tried to sell me a full diagnostic for $100. I said no then they told me 5 minutes later the did it for free (all they did was plug in a diagnostic tool, $100 for that?) and said I had I cylinder one misfire. I told them I would do some research and think about if I wanted them to go into my car to get it fixed (they said they didn't know how much it would be, so I didn't want to commit on the spot). When I came back, they wanted me to pay $100 for another diagnostic because they had no proof of it being done before. Why not just ask the person who helped me earlier? Yeah, I'm not coming back here. read more

My oil light came on in my car. I didn't get like dealing with the fuss of going to my guy, so thought I'd pop into Jiffy Lube. It was the easiest oil change I've ever had. In and out in 10 mins. The mechanics were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend read more

I came in to get a headlight replaced and Jiffy Lube did it and all was fine or so it seemed. But then I went to get an oil change elsewhere and they mentioned the light was out again. I was confused because I'd replaced it at Jiffy Lube about a month ago. What happened? As the oil change people showed me, the headlight was cracked and so it was broken and Jiffy Lube should have pointed that out instead of "replacing it". The headlight was cracked from a prior accident (so it was definitely cracked when Jiffy Lube replaced it, they didn't cause it). However as the oil change people pointed out, there's no point in replacing the light since the crack allows water and debris and stuff to get in and it'll just break again. So I wish Jiffy Lube had told me that instead of replacing it. Additionally they only replaced the break light and said only that was out even though I had told them both were out based on my experience. read more

Very helpful staff! Found out I needed a part replaced on my regular checkup and they ordered it and replaced it within two hours. Great experience read more

Had the oil changed here again on my 2006 Honda last week - as always, great service - they even vacuum and wash the windows! Wilson, the cashier, was very nice. read more

SCAMMERS!! BE AWARE! If you're a woman (specially if you're foreigner with an accent) do not go there! They will take advantage of you and overcharge you. I paid $370 for getting my rear breaks changed which is a lot. The guy who was helping me out tried to make it look like he is doing me a big favor for charging me $370! The first price he gave me for rear break pads change was $411 and I was like I can't afford that and he put some "discounts" and "promotion codes" and he said he can charge me for $370 instead of $411 (WOW HOW GENEROUS) Also they lied to me that my rear shocks have issues and it is causing my back tires to get flat. They said they can fix my rear shocks for me for $900!!! This is a scame business. I took the car today to two different shops and they said they are perfectly fine! Be careful! Do not go there unless if you have no other options! read more

For my surprise and frustrating a guy Jhonny get me really really rude at the first point!!! Told me we don't do it online appointments and made me lot of questions and doing everything to make me gave up!!! Just tell him to relax and asked him how's ur day?? Good? Unbelievable how the costumer service from Jhonny was doing here right now!!! Totally unprofessional!! If you need an oil change, great. If you need ANYTHING else, don't be a fool and come to this Jiffy Lube - I've wasted too much time and money here. There's an AMAZING garage, "Union Street Garage", that's just five blocks away. The owner, Jon, has been servicing the neighborhood for decades. Don't screw this up, peeps! read more

This place is usually okay. I come with a coupon and it brings down the rate to be somewhat reasonable. They always do that trick where they say they will apply it but forget to when you are checking out. It happens every time. They get someone else to check you out that is different from who checked you in. Not a big deal. Just make sure the online coupon is there before paying. This time around I asked them to print out the estimate for the oil change before. ALWAYS ASK THEM TO PRINT OUT THE ESTIMATE! Anyway, I compared the final receipt with estimate. They tacked on $10 in "changes to estimate." I was never consulted on what that is. Unfortunately I paid and left before realizing that extra $10. Never coming to this place again. read more

Been coming here for years. they always do a thorough check of my car and give me an honest assessment of what needs to be done and what might be able to wait so that I'm comfortable with the price and quality. Had a great experience here, these guys took great care of me. My vehicle runs perfect now, highly recommended for anyone who needs oil changed. Thanks jiffy lube team read more

Don't go here. Extremely unhelpful with any service outside of oil changes. Misdiagnosed an issue with my car and charged me hundreds of dollars for a service that didn't solve the issue I came for. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. Jiffy lube reused the old oil drain plug on my Subaru Impreza Sti instead of using a new one. My car was leaking oil for weeks all over the undercarriage of my car. And worst of all. My engine didn't have enough oil in it. I had the same issue a year ago at a jiffy Lube in LA. Moral of the story. Don't go to any jiffy lube anywhere. read more

In keeping with the theme of this business, I'm going to write this review in a jiffy. I've taken my car to a few Jiffy Lubes around the Bay. But not all Jiffy Lubes are created equal. This Van Ness location, in my humble opinion, remains the best for my oil changing/auto service needs. I've never had a long wait here. The auto technicians always do a thorough job. The waiting room is pretty lackluster. It's got ample seating, some magazines, coffee to drink, and a tv to watch. I wouldn't want to spend an afternoon here. But I'm not looking for a Starbucks or anything. I just want them to get my car in good shape and to put me back on the road. And they oblige in a timely manner - every time. For the record, I used to take my car to the Mill Valley Jiffy Lube location. Unfortunately, every time I would go there, I felt like they were trying to up-sell me on everything. It got really annoying because I no longer knew if my car was in such bad shape or if they were just trying to milk every dollar they could out of me. But the SF/Van Ness Jiffy Lube folks seem legit. Highly recommend. read more

Got my Audi Q7 oil change done here. Service was fast and I am happy overall. The person on the phone who booked my appointment was great. The service at the location was also good but can be a little better. read more

These people are crooks here. Brought my car here for an oil change. I was the only customer here. I asked how long it would take and was told 30 mins. They were done in about 10-15 mins. Fast forward to today when I went elsewhere to get an oil change. The guy told and showed me the guys at Jiffy Lube only filled it 3/4 up. I'm reporting them to BBB! Avoid Jiffy Lube at all costs! read more

Went here today for an oil change. Immediately backed out of the garage and left. The guy who 'greeted' me watched me pull into the garage, stared at me incredulously for a solid 20 seconds, walked towards me while he shook his head, and asked: 'What you want?' I said I needed an oil change, and he responded with 'You gotta wait here in your car', which is what I was already doing, and what he was incredulous about in the first place. Ridiculous. He walked away in a huff, like HE was paying ME, and I did something wrong. I left immediately. Never again. Don't give this place your business. read more

I don't like giving 1 star reviews. But these guys earned it. I came today for an oil change and since I work around the corner, I usually leave my car there go back to work and I pick it up when I'm done. There was several cars in front of mine today, so it was going to take them a while to be done. When I told the service guy that I was going to leave, on a very bad tone he told me that if I didn't stay with my car, he was going to charge me $35 extra. I told him that I been coming to this place for the past 5 years, and always doing the same thing, and I was never charged extra for doing so. The guy didn't even blink. This is the first time I see this dude. The other people that work there are usually nice and friendly unlike this guy. I took my car somewhere else. This place was very convenient for me, and the rest of the staff is very friendly. But, because of this guy, I'm taking my business somewhere else. In case a manager wants to know, it was an Asian dude working at 3:30pm today. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!! I just spent several hundred dollars repairing the mess created by this Jiffy Lube. I'm always expecting the worst when I go to get my car's oil changed, whether it be incompetence or high prices or long waits. Add to that, this place is in the city, and I was expecting to spend all day there to get my car serviced. I'm not sure if it was just my low expectations or what, but these guys did a great job! All of the employees were super friendly and polite, the oil change was quick, and they didn't sucker me into anything else. These guys are solid. No nonsense, know their stuff, and great service. I'm always nervous about auto shops over-selling their services, but JL just presents options, a recommendation, and is cool whichever services I pick (or don't). Wait room is pretty basic but with Polk street around the corner, JL checks my box in oil change land. Great that they're open on Sundays, too. At this point, I'm a repeat customer. read more

5 stars for thorough oil change/service!! 5 Stars for their crew. Do not be fooled by their young (in age) crew as they know exactly what they are doing. The service area is visible from the waiting room making it easy to watch what their team is doing to the car: 5 stars putting air in al tires 5 stars vacuuming inside car 5 stars washing all windows 5 stars oil/filter checks. How do i know? Each time (9 to be exact) the following day i drove down to LA for work & went to get a second opinion @ another oil change company ('better safe than sorry') and each time they were given 5 stars.
