I went to this store today 2025 and realized I had the same experience after I tried to leave a Google review 7 years ago. They inspected my car amd told me what they could fix. I told them only oil change and air filter. Went I went to pay it was more than twice what I was expecting. They went ahead and did a brake fluid exchange that I specifically told them I did not want this. They said they would take it off but only marked it down. I told them I had a coupon. They said they didnt need it and only took 10 dollars off instead of the 26 dollars off. They did something very similar 7 years ago and I gave them another try. Never again. This is a scam and they need to be reported to the BBB. read more

Didn't have time to make an appointment with my dealership and needed to get an oil change. I stopped in to Jiffy Lube and my vehicle was taken care of within the hour. Considering how long it takes for the dealership to take care of my vehicle, this was a really great experience! The staff was really accommodating and went out of their way to get me the best deal. This place has the worst customer service ever. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Went in to get my car inspected and the girl came in and said that my brakes were getting bad but said that they were going to pass. She then proceeded to tell me that my oil was almost black and it was half way on the dip stick, obviously trying to sell me in an oil change, she tried to sell me an air filter and cabin filter and a transmission flush. Told her no I just need the car inspection done. She went out to let the tech know that I wanted only the inspection and she came back in and told me my car failed and now all of a sudden my brakes were metal to metal and grinding. I was fuming because only 5 minutes prior it was passed. Left there went up the road to Take 5 oil change and showed them the failed inspection he re inspected and it passed said there was nothing wrong with my brakes at all. Not metal to metal and there was no grinding noise. Also checked my oil it's a little dirty but I am due for an oil change(going to Take 5) and it is not half way on the dip stick it's just a hair below the full mark. Needless to say I have placed a complaint with The Texas dept Of public safety regulatory services. read more

Came in for a state inspection. I brought a coupon valid through the month that was 50% off. There was sanitizing on the inside of the building going on. They didn't say what it was for just yet. I assumed it was for COVID. No big deal. I didn't mind having to wait outside in direct sunlight on blazing hot black chairs in 90 degree Fahrenheit heat if it meant I get this state inspection out of the way. At least there was another customer sitting next to me that I could talk to, who was an older gentleman. He also complained about the heat and having to sit in. So the inspector comes after the inspection to me and says that it will be $7.00, which is the regular price of a state inspection. I show him my coupon. He asks how much percentage off it is. I say 50% off. He doesn't really look at my phone and just states it will now be $3.50. I hand him my card and he goes inside to pay for it. He comes back outside and tells me the report is on the dash. I get into my car to look at my passing vehicle inspection and my receipt. Lo' and behold it's full price of $7.00. I thought maybe it hadn't gone through. Giving him the benefit of the doubt. I look at my bank account and it also tells me $7.00. This inspector lied straight to my face. You might be wondering why I am making such a fuss about $3.50. It's not the money. If the inspector would have just told me he couldn't take the coupon because of sanitizing in the building I wouldn't have minded and just paid full price to be done with the state inspection. It was that he lied to me and pretended that the coupon went through. When I realized what had happened I called customer service. Customer service didn't pick up at first so I left a voicemail. Then I emailed the general manager with picture proof. I called customer service again and talked to them. They said they would talk to AJ about it. 15 minutes later the general manager calls me and starts apologizing. I listen quietly and calmly to what he has to say. He only apologized for sanitizing going on, something about ants? I'm not sure it was hard to make him out. And that I was charged full price. Then says next time I'm there to ask for him directly for a discount on an oil change I think. Hard to make him out again. I'm just glad I know how to do my own oil change and all the other maintenance on my car. I come from a family of mechanics. So I know places like this rip you off. I've had a lot of bad experiences with Jiffy Lube in the past. Be it oil changes that weren't done properly or an employee asking for money as a bribe in Austin, Texas and here in San Antonio. It's about time I take my business somewhere else for a state inspection and convenient maintenance. And if you wanna do your own oil change it's not hard at all. My car was in dire (and I do mean DIRE) need of an oil change and the folks here did exactly that and even gave me a discount, just because. And they also refilled my wiper fluid. These people are blatant scammers. The mechanic i usually go to for inspects was closed today, so i ended up here. They said it would take about 30 minutes, 2 hours later they came to tell me my power steering needed a full replacement, my wipers were torn, and my brake lights were out. Ive had 0 problem with the steering, my lights were working just fine when I was driving there, and my windshield wipers were replaced just last month. I went to get my oil changed and they ended up trying to hassle me out of $1000. All good simple oil change they didn't mess that up. After they finish the oil change the guy comes to me and starts listing off things wrong with my car. He said my coolant was low and would top it off for $20. Thought it was weird cause a lot of place top off for free but I declined cause I had some at home. He showed me my air filter and to be fair those needed to be replaced but I do those myself. The bad part of the service is that he quoted me over $1000 for changing my brakes and rotors. I thought it was high so I took it somewhere else for a quote. At the other automotive shop they told me I had 6 MM LEFT ON MY BRAKES. No where near needing to be replaced. I'm a long time customer. Started bringing in my VW in 2006. They go over the car from bumper to bumper. Check all fluids under the hood; check tires; vacuum the inside. They will also show me, not tell me, what they recommend needs to be done like new air or cabin filters, wiper blades, etc. Their prices are comparable to any other lube service. They recently replaced all the chairs for the customers to sit on and the coffee is almost a good as what I make at home. Customer service is always great and with a smile and good tone. Jiffy Lube is fast AND efficient. I can come in any time and get my tires checked. Good job guys! read more

This is my first time at a jiffy lube and I'm not sure if this is normal service for them, but needless to say I was very impressed! 1. The men all open the doors for you. 2. They clean your windows, mirrors, AND will vacuum your car for you. 3. While having my oil changed, one of the techs pulled me from the waiting room and showed me what a good air filter looked like vs a bad one (mine being the bad one ... of course) ... maybe this wasn't necessary, but very necessary for this noob! 4. This place is conveniently located super close to my residence so I've always opted to go here. Never had a bad experience and have never had to wait longer than 30 minutes for an oil change. Upon my arrival today, a gentleman by the name of Gabriel very promptly greeted me as I drove in. He led me inside to where I could comfortably wait in the a/c. Management told me they did not have a code for the free tire rotation and could not complete what I paid for. I had to get them to call another location to finish the job. So imagine my frustration when I realize that I'm having this lightbulb moment at 7pm. On a Friday. Excellent customer service, greeted promptly, recommended synthetic oil, I refused. Even granted me an early bird discount ,after i had asked, $13 off. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Didn't realize until after driving a little that the steering wheel was very oily, interior door handle and armrest very oily as well. Not a big deal, i thought. Later that day i noticed smoke coming from under my hood, and it smelled like something was burning. Opened the hood and saw all the spilled oil residue all over, which was causing the smoke. I usually go to this Jiffy Lube during my lunch break for my annual safety inspection. The guys that work here are very polite and friendly and I'm usually in and out of here in 15 minutes. They have a decent sized waiting room that's always clean. It also has a tv, restroom and water fountain. I don't normally like going to Jiffy Lube's, but this location is an exception. read more

I'm not sure why there are such mixed reviews at this location, but as someone who went in for the Texas state vehicle safety inspection, the service I received was absolutely excellent. The gentlemen I encountered in store were polite and helpful. They always opened my doors and gave me very clear instructions about what to do with my proof of insurance and so on. I barely waited 10 minutes before they called my car up. They digitally sent my inspection to the state tax office and left me with a receipt. This location is very clean. The men have great customer service. They provide you with a complete break of what is to be done to the vehicle. Every time they address me, it with a mam. Which I greatly appreciate. At the end of the service, they again provide you with another complete breakdown. They lead you to your car. Hold the door open and send you on your way.
