RAT TRAPS IN A TIRE SHOP!!!
Kristopher W.

Worst service I've ever had. I was the first one in when they opened. All I was getting was an oil change and it took 1hr. When I went to pay their card machine rebooted when I insert my card and charged me twice. There were rat traps everywhere and the place smelled like tires and piss. When I got my car I drove up to stone oak only to realize my keys were not in the car. I called them back and they said they put them in the car, then said the cup holder then said between the seats. Come to find our my keys were ON THE ROOF OF MY CAR WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. If after reading this you still decide to go there just make sure Skyler B isn't the one to help you. She royally screwed up my day and experience.

They claim to do brakes but on all three occasions I wasn't able to get that done.

When she tries to tell you this, she is told by the advisor that the people at AutoZone don't know anything. So, thinking you might make it right, she takes it back to you, for you to give her another estimate for another $1000.00 dollars to replace the rear heater core, something your first $3100.00 dollar estimate said you already replaced? When she asks about it, the responding text message says ,"Im sorry to hear that we will bring the car to the front for pickup". I don't even want to mention the fact that when asked about the upsale of the tune up, she declined, but the "repairs" were done anyway, and charged for, but i think that information is relevant to this cause. Also, how do you tell her you use only Mopar parts. "Dodge parts are more expensive, but that's what we use." and then give an estimate with aftermarket part numbers? I sure hope we don't have any trouble with the transmission in the future, as you had to remove it to change out a coolant hose. Lord only knows what excuse we'll get on that. All in all, I thought she finally found a place to trust with her vehicles, turns out we were way wrong! I do understand this was a moderately difficult job to do, and I do sympathize with that to an extent. I know what it is like to order parts and get them in damaged and have no control over that. The lack of professionalism and the feeling of her being taken advantage of is what I don't understand. Please enlighten me. Definitely don't recommend this place at all. If I could leave no stars I would. Don't bring your vehicle here, unless you want to buy everything twice and for twice what it should cost. To say all that, the job is paid for in full. No money is owed. We will not be returning to this facility, not even for a complimentary oil change/service.(That we were not offered.) *** DISHONEST PRICING*** ***NEGLIGENT WORK***…read more I dropped off my car at Midas so they could investigate a belt noise. My car was running fine and had no engine performance issues, no misfires, no backfires, no acceleration, no idling problems, no knocking or banging noises, no check engine light. They told me I needed to replace my timing belt and quoted me $3,500 ($3k with "veterans discount"). I thought that was too high of a price. After calling other shops and getting much lower price quotes (less than half of what Midas quoted me), Midas lowered their price and agreed to do the work for $1600. I agreed to authorize them to do the timing belt replacement out of convenience to avoid having to leave my job early (PTO hours) to go pick up my car at Midas and take it to another shop. The result: They improperly installed a new timing belt causing damage to cylinder head components. The timing belt replacement took several days with problems: First problem: they had an issue with a leaking water pump that came with the replacement kit, so they had to order a new one. Second problem: they didn't have the appropriate timing tool kit while doing the belt replacement work, so they had to wait on the right kit to be brought to the shop. Third problem: the improper installation of the new timing belt caused a valve to bend. They acknowledged their mistake and agreed to replace the valve at their expense. They also told me that I would be reimbursed for a rental car, but no more than $30 per day. Current problem: they discovered 2 cracked camshaft caps, and they also agreed to repair that damage at their expense. My car has been at their shop for nearly 4 weeks, and they still haven't fully fixed their mistake. There's a good chance that there's further damage that was caused to other parts of the cylinder head, engine block, or other components. I was told several times that the District Manager will talk to me on site or call me. He didn't show up or call me. Now the store supervisor I was working with this entire time was transferred to another shop. They have not documented any notes in their system about the damage they caused and parts they have replaced or have to replace because of the damage they caused.
