Brought it to a mechanic the hose was not leaking, it was spots in the interior from something a ling time ago they said, they changed the bulbs so they were brighter than the ones in the car that passed. I waited in a clean, air conditioned waiting area for about half an hour. The young woman who checked me out was very friendly and polite. I will stay away... Called them on the phone, asked for the oil change price for synthetic blend. They told me $32 for 5 quarts, S8 for each extra. I asked if they were busy, and they told me they had all bays open at the moment. So, in exactly 6 minutes I was there. They guided me to drive into the bay, did the oil change, and then told me it was $72.79. I was in shock as the price just doubled. I have not had such an experience for many years. So, I said that (very calmly, still in a disbelieve). So they called the "main guy" (manager? owner?). And here is when it all went downhill: He immediately attacked me (verbally), telling me that $32 would be an insane price, and nobody around would have it that low. I told him that just before calling them, I spoke with Meineke (half a block away), and their price was around $35, but they were booked with appointments, so, I tried this Jiffy Lube. Immediately, the "main guy" said that I must have called a different store, not theirs, as they had not received any calls, and nobody at their shop could have said that. When I showed my phone call log with the time and the number, he said they didn't receive that call. A different mechanic has actually found my call on their phone with the same time stamp. When I pointed that out, the "main guy" started yelling at me so that I had to tell him calmly "please, stop yelling at me!" The guy has actually given me a $10 discount. Miscommunications can happen and that would've been a nice gesture. But why did he burst at me in such unprofessional manner? On top of that, I am puzzled by yet another strange fact: They checked my battery. The same "main guy" came to me and informed that my battery was producing 200 cranking Amps, while my car needs 600, and offered me to buy a replacement battery. I said that I will think about it. Something was wrong with that measurement: If the battery was producing just 200 Amps, the car wouldn't start at all. The car was starting just fine, without any hesitation - before that, and after (knock on wood, it's been a month since that, including several near-zero-F nights and mornings). On the positive side, they changed the oil rather quickly, and you can stay in the car (which I prefer - especially in the middle of the Omicron COVID peak - so that they don't breathe or touch things inside the car - as nobody there had a mask). I didn't notice anything bad with the oil, so hopefully, that job was done right. You draw your own conclusions, but I doubt I would come back to this IFFY Lube. read more

I have a 2016 Subaru Legacy 3.6r. My wife got me a new car starter for Christmas that I had installed shortly before I went to get it inspected. It failed - the manager even said to me it must have recently had some work done and it's being caused because the battery had been disconnected (there's no way a 2016 would have an OBD failure otherwise). Completely correct. That was Feb 8th. I got a 60-day temp sticker and the VIR telling me I had 60 days. I brought it back today and while holding the inspection report in her hand, the manager (I think she's the manager) tells me she's going to have to charge me again. I asked for what and she told me it wasn't up to her, it was the state that required it. I have been bringing my car, my wife's car, and my daughters car there regularly for 2 years since we moved to Salem. So, I think I surprised her when I told her that if I was going to have to pay twice, I wasn't going to pay the same place twice. She said there was nothing she could do. I just got home and see the following notice on the VIR stating what the car failed for originally. In big bold letters it says the following: OBD Repairs and retests must be completed by: 04/10/2018. Only one 60-day period will be issued per test cycle pursuant to RSA 266:59-bV Now I'm no mechanic nor do I deal with these inspection and emissions computers on a regular basis. But what I do know is that I got this on February 10 and today is March 24. There is not more than 60 days between those two dates. So where am I getting lost in this story? Furthermore, I start looking at the states regulations around all of this who also state you have 60 days to get this addressed. read more

You store in Salem, NH on South Broadway stole $55.49 by not honoring the 15% VIP discount card on my brake services. They told me any work done on the left side of the building couldn't be covered by the discount card. I was told it was in the fine print. Fine print said to check online for participating stores. The South Broadway store in Salem, NH accepts this card. It says Jack shit about only certain sides of the building accepting this card. So either they are lying or you guys are purposely false advertising that this covers all services. Regardless, you stole $55.49 from me and people shouldn't give this place, and specifically Andrew L who poorly handled this whole situation, any business. Just had an oil change, $103 dollars , the vehicle was in the bay for under 4 minutes as paperwork stated. No fluids topped off, no vacuum, no filter or windshield wiper inspection, oil light wasn't reset and new window sticker was 10,000 miles off. No clue what they're doing there. BEWARE! I got an inspection done there in 2017 and that went fine. However when I returned just recently for them to "top off my fluids" (as they say they'll do within 90 days of any service), they showed me that my oil was overfilled (not by them) and told me it would damage my engine and to replace the oil because it also looked contaminated. I had them change the oil but for full synthetic it cost $89! They also wanted to change my windshield wipers (which they had done 3 months ago) and my air filters which I declined. I checked on oil changes for a 2015 Subaru Outback and found that both Sullivan Tire and the Subaru dealer would have charged only $48 for a full synthetic oil change. On May 22nd, I was at my boyfriend's house in Methuen, MA when my battery light came on in my car, a 2010 Honda Accord. I live in Boston, MA, so I wanted to take it to be looked at quickly before I drove home because it's about a 40 minute drive. I took it to Jiffy Lube on South Broadway in Salem, NH and was originally told I needed a new battery. Then, I was told I needed a new alternator by their employee Michael. He said he couldn't get one on a Sunday and I would have to leave the car overnight and they would fix it Monday. I said that was fine and I left. Then, they called me and told me they could actually fix it today because it was slow. I said that was great and told them to go ahead. I picked up my car around 3pm on Sunday May 22nd and told I was all set and they had given me a new battery and alternator. I drove the car home to Boston on Monday, May 23 and noticed my battery light flickered on. I figured it must have just been resetting and did not think anything of it. Then it continued to flicker on and off periodically and stay on for longer periods of time. On Thursday, May 26th, I took it to my actual mechanic, a Honda specialist in Melrose, MA. My mechanic there ran diagnostics and looked at me engine for free and told me Jiffy Lube had done a hack job. They had first, forgotten to replace my expansion tank which connects to the radiator of my car. Then, he told me they did not put the correct alternator for a Honda Accord in my car. The alternator they put in my car only went up to 13.5 and my car should be above a 14. I called Jiffy Lube and spoke with Joe, the store manager, and Bob, the mechanic manager and Joe was apologetic while Bob called me disrespectful. I told him I wanted a certain alternator that my mechanic said to ask for at no charge, and he said he would find one for me and they would fix it at no cost to me. I asked if they would please refund me and I could take it to my real mechanic, and they said no, but they would happily get me the alternator I wanted and replace the overflow bottle, and fix it for me at no cost. I agreed and told them to let me know when I could come in. On Friday, May 27th, Joe called me and said they would be unable to get me the alternator I asked for. I said that couldn't be right, because my mechanic had them and I had seen them in the box at their garage. He said he didn't know that and he would call me back. On Tuesday, May 31st I called Jiffy Lube in South Broadway in Salem and asked for an update about my car. Joe said he would now have to charge me to get a new alternator. I said that in all our previous conversations I had been told that this would be free to fix. Joe told me he was unaware Bob said that to me and Bob would call me back. My father then called Jiffy Lube and spoke to them. Bob was also disrespectful to my father and told him that he would now have to charge us because he didn't usually order those alternators and he still "needed to make some money off this". I called them back one last time to ask if they would please rectify this situation by providing us with the service they originally said they would, putting in the correct alternator, and replacing my overflow bottle. Bob said I was being disrespectful, that he had been doing this 23 years and knew more than us. Finally I called corporate and they gave me the district managers number. He was helpful and apologetic and told me to get the work done at my mechanic and let him know how much the invoice was. My Honda specialist mechanic found that Jiffy Lube not only gave me a bad alternator, forgot to put the expansion tank back in, but damaged my serpentine belt. Someone had tried to remove the belt, broke off part of the bolt so it was stuck, then the belt began to fray. It cost me almost $1000 to fix what Jiffy Lube broke. In the end the district manager was helpful and he sent me a check for all the work done to my car that needed to be done because of them. Do not go here under ANY circumstances. They are horrible! The only one with a brain there was the district manager. read more

Came in to get an inspection done for my husband's truck today. I can't say enough about the customer service. I interacted with 3 different employees who were each polite, respectful, and considerate. They made sure that I was comfortable while I awaited the service to be done - made sure that I knew there was WiFi and coffee available as well as to make sure I knew where the restrooms were located. They kept me updated on how much time was left before my truck would be done and clearly explained everything to me when the inspection was completed. They even walked me to my truck! This was their common practice- I noticed them treat each customer the same way. I highly recommend this Jiffy Lube location! read more

Worst business ever! Warning do not go here!!! Went to get an inspection my significant other worked at a garage and knows his stuff. He new my car would pass inspection so we went here just to get it out of the way since a lot of other businesses were too busy. Big mistake! They failed me on brakes that were fine we went to 2 different places after and they said they were wrong and it was fine but because they had already given us a failed inspection there was nothing They could do to fix their mistake, so I had to fix what they failed me on. They are all about the money they lied to get me to get brakes done with them. So I had no choice but to get them done I went to my own mechanic they were not getting any money from me. I went back next day to get it re-inspected and get the nightmare over with. They then had the audacity to make us wait 40 minutes while taking people that came after us in when I questioned why they said because they have to take paying customers first!!!!! WHAT! So I was no longer useful to them because I had already paid for my inspection sticker the day before. Unreal they said they were too busy and I should come another time. DO NOT GO TO Fiffy Lube. Not worth your time. I should have listened to the negative reviews. I came on two separate Monday's between 4:30pm and 5:00pm to get my NH state inspection done. The sign clearly stated that they close at 7pm and no other cars where in the garage. Both times they turned me away saying that there person that dose the inspections was out. Not worth your time to go here. Instead go to ARG tire and auto in Pelham. They got me in 30 minutes prior to there posted closing time and stayed late to get my inspection done. Had gone here for years - I had two vehicles that needed oil change - one was completed showed be a dirty air filter - extremely bad which kinda baffled me but I said to change it. When home an picked up my other car this time I looked at my Air Filter was a little dirty but not bad - Brought car number two in, must of had a shift change new team on board - Waited and ten they brought my filter - it actually looked just like the other filter as before - I looked at the filter really close and asked them lets go out to my car. I told them to put that filter back in car it did not fit - no matter how they tried it did not go in. they then said it was the wrong car and showed me the filter that was there which did not need to be changed. BEWARE! After having my oil and air filters changed and my fluid levels checked and topped-off my car started bucking wildly and my "check engine" light came on. Since the car is still under warranty I contacted my dealer who recommended I bring the car to them. I had the car towed since it was bucking so badly and I was afraid to drive it on the highway. Turns out Jiffy Lube put ill-fitting air filters in my car. The dealer kept the filters to show me and they looked like an accordion. The filters had obviously been shoved in to place leaving gaps that let particles into the engine. After several calls to Jiffy Lube they eventually refunded the cost of the air filters but acknowledge no wrongdoing. They refused to reimburse me the $150 it has cost me to have the dealer fix the problems they obviously caused.Today I tried using my windshield washer fluid and nothing came out. I topped off the reservoir. Still nothing. Took the car to a service station who diagnosed the lines were completely frozen. Seems Jiffy Lube either put in fluid meant for warm weather or watered down their fluid. This place deserves to go out of business! read more
