I had a bad experience at the Jiffy Lube off of Orchard in Aurora, so I decided to try the one in St. Charles. I have visited this Jiffy Lube three or four times now. Every visit has been outstanding. They are incredibly attentive and have given me good advice. They did not try to upsell me an expensive oil or a new service. The team is great, especially Kevin. He diagnosed an issue with my engine. I then took the car to my mechanic and he confirmed I had an issue that needed to be addressed right away. This is not the first time Kevin has helped me. Honestly couldn't be happier with the work they did more me today! I was recommended to come here after getting an ABSURD quote from another auto shop and was told to come here! I needed my headlights changed and they got me in super quick, super friendly Mr Gonzales helped me out right away and got my lights changed and topped off my washer fluid just as a kind curtsey! Quick service for my VW Tiguan's oil change, but the price for a foreign car was significantly higher than Mike More Miles across the street was going to charge. The value wasn't great in my opinion. However, they did offer me a couple options for discounts because of having coupons and being military, so they tested a few out to see which would save me the most. I'll be going elsewhere in the future just because of the price, but if you're in a jam and need a really quick walk-in service, this is a great option. read more

They were awful and rude. They would ask questions faster than I could answer them. They weren't really listening to me. They were absolutely trying to upsell to me because I'm a girl thinking I would just go along with it and when I wouldn't they tried to convince me. They told me my brakes needed changed. When I said they were done last year then they said well MAYBE the front were. Yeah I'll get it taken care of myself. They didn't like that. Kept trying to get me to look at them when I said I would get it taken care of myself. They rotated my tires and told me as I'm checking out that they filled and checked my tires. I leave on a small road trip and get about 30ish minutes in to my tire pressure light coming on. It's in the 50s or so this day. Had been all week. No wildly varying temperatures and no pressure lights on before. My husband checks my tires and the 2 front tires say 42 and the back say 29 and one he can hear is leaking air. Recommended on my tires is like 34-36. We are in the middle of nowhere so have no choice but to drive another hour down to Normal and stop at discount tire and they were wonderful. They came out checked my tires and saw that the port valve had come undone. He said he had no idea how that was possible because it doesn't just happen. And interesting timing. I put in a complaint with this jiffy lube and let my husband talk to them. My husband told them what happened. The man claimed they never filled my tires up and that they "dropped the ball on that". After they told me in shop that they did fill them. My husband said that my tires were at 42 and 29 and the man immediately jumped to well we wouldn't Sabotage a tire and that the ground was heating them. But only the front 2 tires and not the back 2 which had just been rotated. And the port valve coming out which is not an accident. No one said they "sabotaged" them but they were certainly careless and this man jumped right to that line of defense. This was long, but we will never be back. I have gotten every single oil change done at the dealership prior to this visit and I will be going back to that. I have never once had a problem and always been properly taken care of. This place doesn't deserve a single star for their carelessness and terrible customer service. read more

On Christmas Eve morning, I discovered my car battery was dead, and I was in a pinch since I needed the car for the holiday. I called Jiffy Lube, explained my situation, and they went above and beyond to help me. Within 10 minutes, two team members arrived at my house, jumped my car, and took it back to their shop. They replaced the battery on the spot and returned my car in perfect working condition--all in under an hour! Got an oil change and some basic maintenance done here yesterday and by the time I made it back to the office (about 5 mins away) one of my tires was flat. After taking it to a different company, it turns out they damaged the tire valve stem on the tire. Went in today and spoke to the manager Bryan who not only asked if I was sure I was even there yesterday, but claimed it couldn't have been them who damaged it and then blew me off by saying he'd 'check the security footage' and call me. I had to insist he take my name down along with my number, but he didn't bother noting the car make and model. He wouldn't look me up in the system to verify I'd been there or what my car even looked like. Don't get your service done here, if something goes wrong they won't take care of you. And if they messed up inflating a tire this badly, can you imagine what else they're screwing up? read more

It took me about five minutes of watching this place in action before asking for my keys and leaving. My God! You pull your car up. Someone asks you to leave the keys in the car and go into the waiting room. There no one knows what the hell is going on and you just sit there. That's when I just got up and left after five minutes. I headed down Route 38 to Fuller's QuickLube and probably paid a bit more but at least there were some competent people employed there with some sort of belief in customer service. read more

I just had a great experience at Jiffy Lube. I actually made an appointment at a competitor down the street about 30 minutes before. The competitor wasn't able to service my car at the scheduled time, so I drove over to jiffy lube. There was no wait and everybody that I came into contact with was super friendly and attentive. The gentleman who cashed me out at the counter seemed super passionate about cars and shared some knowledge about regular oil changes vs. synthetic. extremely unprofessional managers or supervisors, making comments like "tell him to drive it in because he's trying to make us damage his cars so we have to pay for it." and saying "he stripped the screw that's why he's here" you're right that's exactly why i'm here. Guess where I brought my car last for an oil change? Jiffy Lube. the fact that I took a torque wrench to it at 120ft lbs of torque and it didn't take the oil drain plug out tells me you have no clue what you're doing. all of the members who changed my oil were phenomenal people, professional, and got the job done. The supervisor however on september 3rd 2022 was a piece of work. and if he sees this, if you can't torque a bolt to its spec then you shouldn't be in your industry ;). Jacob. V and Phillip. My son broke a CV joint on his car and called JL to check pricing on getting it fixed. He spoke to Adam who told him they didn't have the part but that if he got the part they could do the work and gave him a price. My son ordered the part and called JL back to schedule. He then called back today to confirm and he was instructed to go ahead and have it towed in for them to do the work. He arranged and paid for the tow but then received a call from Adam (who we now know is the manager) that they don't usually take cars brought in by flatbed and that they would not push it into the shop over the pit to do the repair and suggested that we tow it somewhere else to have it fixed. So after calling 3 times to confirm and paying for a tow to get the car there to be fixed we had to pay to have it towed back. We have made an appointment somewhere else that knows more about cars and what a CV joint does and will have to pay to get it towed again. When I spoke to Adam I confirmed that he was the manager and asked for his district managers name which he told me he could not give me but would take my information. When I insisted he would only give me the first name and would not give me that managers contact info or the corporate phone number. Besides his horrible demeanor on the phone, as a manger he didn't even apologize. Simple customer service skills would have told him to apologize for the inconvenience or at least the misunderstanding. read more

How to start?? Took my car for a simple oil change aprox 8 months ago, this place is near to work and people say is fast. They change the oil but after 3 moths my car started to turn off and said that need it to check the oil pressure, it was 1500 miles before the next oil change so i decided to take it there so they can help me with that. The guy told me it was a sensor and I need it to take it to the dealer other ways they could change the oil so I decide to go ahead and change the oil. And again same problem so this time I took it to another company as soon as they opened the hood and checked my car they told me that my car did not had oil. I looked at it and it was true the my car didn't have oil So the manager told me my car could be burning oil or leaking oil and that I need it to do a oil consumption test so after 8 months and all this inconvenience the only thing wrong with the car was that they were not fill up the car with oil . Had my oil changed. Took 15 minutes. I usually go here. Its quick, cheap. They try to push you into buying new filters for the whole car but I said only the oil change. When I get home my car leaked a big puddle of oil on my garage floor. I called, they sent a guy over to check it out. He said bring it back in and I'll be back to clean your garage floor. They put it up on the rack, tightened everything again, cleaned it off but told me it's still leaking. I said then fix it!!! It was fine before I came here!!! He wouldnt do anything without his managers approval. So I leave, mgr calls me at home, tells me a totally different story than the store guy saying it's not leaking now and bring it back in 24 hours if still leaking. Will never go back to this place!! First time ever, I stopped over across the street where I purchased my tires. And they were closed for the day. I was driving out of town and wanted my check tire pressure light checked to make sure everything was OK. The tire levels looked OK, but I wanted confirmation. No appointment the waiting room was pretty full, when I figured out that the cars went from the back to front. I drove around to the back and was greeted immediately by two employees. Explain the situation and they took care of it right away. It was a little surprising I kind of stood there, A few moments thinking I didn't understand that they're gonna take care of me right away but they did. I'm glad I noticed they were open and I would go back in a pinch, as I personally prefer The selling dealer ship of my vehicle for anything but minor maintenance. I overheard the manager up selling to other customers, and everything seemed on the up and up. No pressureand no phantom repairs needed. On the surface, for my present short visit. The staff seemed well trained knowledgeable and honest. They did not open an RO so I tipped the technician for taking the time out of his busy schedule to address my needs right away. Thanks guys! Wow. Have read the reviews here and mine seems out of place. I've been using this facility for about 5 years to get my F-150 ready for the Fall. I had one problem a fews years back where they did not have the correct fitting to do the trans oil but other than that, everything has been fine. I went there today and had the oil changed with synthetic oil and the trans fluid changed. Asked them whether they thought the air filter needed replacement. Most places that an automatic of course it does. However, they said it looked fine. In and out in less than 30 minutes on a Saturday. The 3 people I spoke to were friendly and courteous. The prices don't seem to be out of place. 3 bays to work on cars. Brown's chicken next door if you're hungry. Behind it, there is a Binny's Liquor store. The only drawback inside the waiting room is that they stock, along with other magazines, Peoples Magazine. read more

Horrible, never go here. They replace a rear light that I know was not working, however they didn't test it to see if it worked. I went to another place, they removed a little corrosion and it was fine. The next time I went in they told be both fog lamps needed to be replaced. I said no. When I left I pulled over, turned on fog lights and they worked fine and have continued to work just fine for three months so far. This place is either full of liars or they are inept, or both. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. TERRIBLE! Been getting oil changes here for years. I needed new front brakes and called around to several of the local garages in St Charles for a price. Jake the manager at Jiffy Lube quoted me the best price by about $40 dollars. When I arrived they put the car up on the rack, removed the tires, brakes and came back at a price 80$ higher saying that the pads where more expensive?? I gave them the make and model prior to arriving and said other garages down the street were now cheaper. He said some BS that they (others) use recycled parts and thiers were more expensive because they're better. C'mon? Quote a price that's correct and stand behind it. I sat for 30 minutes before the price was given and would have had to wait longer to reassemble and return my car. I did not have another hour to spare so had to go thru with it. They charged me 70 dollars more than the other quotes. (I hammered them hard and they took off 10$.) Total bait and switch. Mgr was rude no apology, WONT EVER GO BACK. read more

Went to get my headlight replaced (2008 malibu). Waited an hour for them to tell me they can't actually replace the headlight. To be fair, you do have to remove the bumper cover the replace the headlight on this model. It was just a total failure to wait an hour to tell me they couldn't do the service. I can't be the first person to bring a malibu to the shop for a headlight. read more

It has been almost 90 degrees the last 2 days and with perfect timing, the A/C in my vehicle decided to go out. I called up the St. Charles Jiffy Lube location and was told I didn't need an appointment. The guy said to bring it right in and they would take a look at it. From the minute I pulled up, my experience was great. The guy who greeted me, Dan, was awesome. There were a few people already in the waiting room so I figured I'd have to wait a little bit but I was just thankful they were able to get me in before they closed. A little over an hour later, my car was done and the A/C was cranking cold air like a boss! Dan was super helpful, professional, personable, and makes me want to ditch the dealership all together for regular maintenance! I feel I paid a fair price for the awesome service and wasn't pressured or over charged for anything during my visit. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this location! read more

This place is horrible. When they change your oil, they pull out your air filter to try to sell you a new one. They use air ratchets to get the air filter out of the housing and broke the screws. Now my car is at the dealership replacing the entire housing for the air filter, which is costing me $300. Don't go here as it will cost you more in the end. read more

Went on Sunday late afternoon and it was busy. Other Jiffy lube locations are very customer oriented but this branch fell short of the quality I have grown to expect. It was a struggle to have them accept a coupon, would not top fluids, either forgot or overlooked resetting the dash maintenance warning light, did not vacuum or wash windows. Sure, they changed my oil and did (what I can only assume) an okay job BUT they left a spray bottle (what they use to clean your windows) *leaking* on my passenger seat. Also when I took my car (the next time it needed an oil change) to my dealer, they informed me that my cooling cap was missing??? An employee named "Jake" greeted me and asked my how can he help me. I explained to him that I was here last week for the oil change, and the computer recommended that the transmission fluid be changed. I explained to him that I needed the transmission fluid change, but I just realized I forgot my coupon for a discount. He told me he would give me the discount. My vehicle was checked and the transmission fluid was changed and I received the discount. I appreciate the consideration "Jake" showed me. This place ROCKS. For over 10 years, we have been extremely satisfied with every aspect of the service JL provides. We have free oil changes for life with a new car purchase, chose to pay for the service and keep coming back! They set the bar with exceptional customer service, from the little things of always opening the door to just doing things correct. Also love to come back for the quick and free top off, from windshield fluid, to air in the tires. For oil changes, I usually take a laptop to work, hardly get started and they are already done with my car. How does a store stay open when they try to charge you double for a service that takes three times the length it should, not complete the service you paid for leaving you on your own to go to a different store and spend your money again to have it done right, all which ended up wasting a days worth of your time because you have absolutely nothing better to with your time right? Not good. I went here to replace my headlight on the driver side on my subaru (thinking I could save time and money rather than drive to Aurora and go to the dealership). It took them a long time to find the right light bulb, I could see thru the window that the young man working on my car seemed to be asking for a lot of advice (which concerned me since it was only a light bublb) and I remember going thru the door asking if they actually had the right one. I don't think the actually did put in the correct bulb because the "new subaru bulb" they put in was substantially dimmer than my other one. It also seemed to be at a very odd angle and at night I was having difficulty seeing the road well. It lasted 5 months and burnt out. So I ended up driving to the dealership and having them replace it. So much for saving time and money. I would not go here again. I don't think they are liars, I just think they are not well-trained. read more

DO NOT SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!- I have been taking my vehicles to Jiffy Lube for routine maintenance for years, unfortunately I will not be going back after visiting this location. I stopped in on 7/6 to get a Jiffy Lube's signature change/inspection on my '07 Santa Fe. The location seemed clean and their service techs were friendly, but I got TWO MILES from their location and my CAR BROKE DOWN. Turns out my oil was over filled and my transmission fluid levels were dangerously low. I was given no warning upon my exit of the shop and the receipt shows that all levels were full. Mechanic tells me my transmission is ruined and my engine may be as well. When the managers and owner of the location were contacted they were defensive and rude. Finally they agreed to tow the vehicle on their expense to have it inspected, but now, they refusing to replace the damage though the evidence is they are liable. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP, A $30 oil change is not worth it!! read more

Took my car here yesterday for an oil change. The guy recommended I replace my cabin filter. He showed it to me- it was filthy, full of maple seed "helicopters." I told him I'd have my husband change it- I didn't want to pay $39.99 for a filter that costs $8. The guy whom I presume was the manager was very rude, looked down his nose at me with each question I asked, and had terrible customer service. I think he was too busy chatting with the other employees to bother with his customers. He informed me that the filter was quite complicated to change, as it was "behind the glove compartment and by the fire wall." I proceeded to Advanced Auto parts down the street where I bought the filter for $8. The guy there even put it in for me! Talk about customer service, going above and beyond! Furthermore, it took all of 2 minutes to change it- you simply squeeze the glove compartment on each side, it pops out, you take out the filter and replace it. What further frustrated me was that the Jiffy Lube employees didn't even have the sense or customer service skills to at least dump the maple seeds out - they were still in there when the guy took it back out. In fact, my carpet, which Jiffy Lube had just vacuumed, was dirty as I pulled out of Jiffy Lube because they just put the filter back in and it dumped out on my floor. To top it off- guess what it says on my Jiffy Lube receipt? that my cabin air filter was in "good condition!" Ummmm... NOT! And, not going back there. read more
