It might still be early to tell if their fix was the only one I needed since I have been on travel since the one day of driving but... these guys were awesome! They came in clutch as I was panicking during the holiday weekend with a car that wouldn't start consistently even though it's newer and regularly serviced at the dealership. All getting worse as I was preparing for the return drive from MA to VA in Thanksgiving traffic. I thought for sure we were doomed to get stuck in the middle of nowhere with a dead car. Dealerships were slim staffed so no one could help but one suggested checking out a quicklane service and I'm glad they did. We popped over to this one as the closest one. As we arrive, I started wondering if it was the best option and saw they had 2.5 stars on yelp. Definitely had concerns but we decided to try and I'm glad we did. I had my partner run in so I could keep the car on in case they couldn't help and they came out to the car with him to see what was wrong. We were then asked to pull up after they decided they could help us and had a clear action plan. They worked quickly and together to juggle the existing customers with us and set us up to test our battery and promptly told us we definitely needed a new battery and not an alternator. Thank the holiday turkeys! These guys were patient in answering my questions as I wanted to understand my options and what things meant and assuring us they would help jump us if they couldn't fix the issue and the car wouldn't restart. The battery cost seemed comparable to other online costs so at least we were not getting ripped off as far as I could tell (not very far tbh). The whole process probably took less than 30min or even 20min. We were back on the road shortly after and my cat was starting back up as normal at the next rest stop. Anyways, I'll still take my car into confirm nothing else is going on but I think they fixed it and were really friendly about it. Avoid the shop at all cost, the price list in the shop lists a different price from what they actually charge. The price list for the light bulb states 9.99, and they charged me $25 for changing a single light headlight bulb. The serpentine belt replacement cost in the shop reads as 89.99 and they charged me 119.99, even though when I called in before going there I was told the charge would be 79.99 Wrong way to do business, you for sure lost me as a customer for life. I try to avoid bringing my car to quick lube shops, but this was a last minute emergency situation. They told me my breaks and rotors needed to be changed ASAP, which was a surprise because I had them changed somewhat recently. This caused me a lot of concern. Finally, a week later I had a chance to look at them myself. These people either don't know anything about cars or they flat or lied to me, my rotors were fine and almost half my pad was remaining. I will not be back, they are trying to rob people by lying about problems and upselling work. read more

I wanted to get my car inspected as I was experiencing a reduced pick up. It was their closing time but even then they accommodated me and started my car inspection. They opened the bonnet and checked engine oil level, air filters, brake fluid, coolant and whole lot of other things. They found that the coolant water is low and re-filled it for FREE. They also checked acceleration and brakes to make sure they are fine. Moreover, they went underneath the car and inspected it to make sure there are no broken parts or wear and tear. This was a great experience for me as a first timer and they treated me like if I was their regular customer. I was very satisfied with their inspection. read more

Extreme harassment. Went in for an oil change and said a firm no to them changing my serpentine belt half a dozen times - each time my "no, I will go to my dealer for that" was combatted with every angle this dude could think of: the dealer will be more, I don't want you stranded on the side of the road. When it was clear that neither the financial nor the emotional angles would work, he went with "it's the worst I've ever seen." Honestly, I'd have laid into him more but I didn't want them to do something to mess up my car. Absolutely disrespectful, ridiculous. Hopefully others will read this and avoid. read more

I took in my car for oil service at 40% oil life. I paid for synthetic oil service which was 75 dollars. After driving just about 1000 miles or so, I got the service light on my dashboard. I checked and my oil life was down to 15%. You guessed it right. They did not service my car but rather they just reset my oil life guage and played me. When I called them, they told me to take back the car for observation. My advice is avoid the shop. They are not honest people. read more

Zero stars!! A nut-less monkey can change oil. I flunked out of vocational school and even I know how to change oil. Appearently the derelicts this company sweeps off the streets and pays minimum wage to unscrew a cap, drain fluid, screw a cap back on and .fill fluid ...CAN NOT! I went here because i didnt wanty to bother my regular mechanic (one of the best in the city) with this mundane task. These brainless twits who cant cut it as real mechanics (or most probably got fired from one garage after another and wound up here) stripped my oil plug and screwed it back on wrong. It was all almost seemingly by design as to allow for plausible denial. The oil ran out slowly enough for it take more than day to completly leak out of my engine and for me not to notice any dark puddles under my car that a fast leak would leave. Fortunately the only casualty was my starter...which was melted. Yes. You read it right. Thank the auto gods that my engine opened right back up without any residual problems with a more proficient oil change. The only thing Jiffy Lubes is your ass when they try to screw you. read more

I needed a change from the dealership 2 hrs for oil , so I decided to go to JL on middlesex st 35 min in and out perfect I thought. I checked my oil later in the day and it looked dark not clear "almost like they didn't change my filter" my truck has a skid plate over the filter and it's a pain in the ass to get it down. After the oil was changed the guy at the cashier comes out and tells me that I need to change my light bulb which i already know that it does not need to be changed. So he pulled the light bulb out "showing" me that needs to be replaced and he also told that It is $25 and he would change it for $20 cash. Immediately something is going on i said to my self and I told him NO and that i can change it my self i also told him that he is not correct and that my light bulb works perfect! Obviously he was disappointed that he did not make the $20 and also he did not connect the wire back to the light bulb and of course the light indicator showed up. I received the car back and as I saw the light indicator on I pulled at the back opened the hood and connected it back and the light worked just fine and haven't changed my light bulb since then and its been like almost a year and still haven't changed it Conclusion, i felt like he was trying to take advantage of me but little did he know that I knew my way around on some basis stuff. Minus stars! Only went to jiffy lube bcuz mechanic didn't have time & was traveling to NY that weekend. Being a female they talked to me like I'm an idiot, tried to get me to buy more expensive oil when my car is only @72000 miles so dsnt need high mileage oil. Guy got upset when I said if I want to replace filter I'd buy 1 @ a store & put it in myself. I had 3 guys trying to convince me to spend more $$$. Here's where I give minus stars tho. My coolant was low & bcuz I didn't have time to go to store later, I agreed to pay $5 for them to fill it. They charged me but didn't fill it. Didn't vacuum as they put on paper. I went into Jiffy Lube as a last resort because I needed an oil change and my rear brakes to be done ASAP. Based on my own past experiences at Jiffy Lube and horror stories from other people, I should have known not to go back. My car left this store with more issues than it came there with. I feel like a fool for shaking the managers hand. Please, for the sake of your vehicle and your personal safety on the road, do not bring your car to these people. I have gone to jiffy Lube on Middlesex for years. 6 or 7 cars. A long time. Never had anything but good service. Today I went in for just tire pressure which is no charge. All the guys were so nice. They made sure I was safely inside because of snow and slush. I appreciated it. Then they pulled my car right up to front door and took my hand and helped me in to my front seat. I was so impressed. My go-to for oil changes. Quick and friendly service and you can't beat the prices and convenience, especially with coupons. Don't even need to get out of my car! Many are complaining that they were charged for extras (air filter,etc)- well DUH. Of course they're going to try to up-sell you. That's their job and they have a quota to meet. As others have said be VERY careful about what they tell you that you need. Take it and show it to someone you trust, don't take their recommendations for upselling. I just went today and was told I needed a radiator flush for my 2009 Nissan Altima car that has 102K miles on it, and that I needed to use the synthetic oil that costs $20 more. I talked to my mechanic thereafter and he told me the radiator flush is not critical, but that I should get one when I get to 120K miles, and that oils today are already partially synthetic and that the one I was using was fine. I will still go there I think for regular oil changes, but oil changes only, and only the $40 ones, and still check with my guy to see ifwhat they recommend is legit, and so should you! read more

For a quick service oil change this place is efficient and I have not had an issue in 5+ years of going here. WARNING!!! For people who wants a quick Oil Change for $19.99. This is absolute marketing trick. In simple terms its FRAUD. Jiffy Lube always forces their customers to go for $29.99 even if you deny for it. Also the point is "Oil Change" process. Old oil should be flushed out first before filling new oil. Trust me this will never be done. The new oil is just filled out by pouring into the oil-reservoir. I think my 2 year old niece can do this. So ultimately new oil turns old immediately. I ended up paying $70 when my intention was to get an $19.99 oil change. The only thing they changed is Air-Filter for $20, which for God sake is a new one. Because of this, I have to change oil again. The bill showed up that car Floor Vacuum has been done for $20 and Tire Pressure check for $15. All these I never asked. My car floor was not even touched and it was as dirty as it was earlier. Tire Pressure check is just $1 in any gas stations. They will also suggest you to change Brake Fluid and Power Steering Fluid. Folks!!! please DO NOT agree for any of these. Therefore, next time you go for quick oil change especially to big franchise like Jiffy Lube, take a look at the color of the Oil initially by using the Oil Dip Stick. Usually a car requiring oil change will have the oil black in color. After changing the Oil, if the color still remains black, then new oil is just poured into reservoir or may be oil is not changed at all. There are many videos on self Oil Change specific to the vehicle. All you need is 2 Jack stands, specific wrench (mine is Hyundai Sonata, so I need a 16 inch wrench to remove Oil plug), tray to catch oil, and off-course the oil mentioned in the car manual. It would cost not more than $30 including 5Qt Oil. So absolute worth doing yourself. Thanks and be updated... read more

They also informed me of other tweets I need to make on my car for it to run its best but didn't push it on me so I felt comfortable to say no not today and to stick to my budget. I woke up with a flat on a Sunday morning, and when nothing else was open, I went to this Jiffy Lube for advice. The guys there were so helpful and friendly! Even though they don't do tires, they re-rimmed and plugged the hole in my tire for me! There were like 5 guys trying to figure out a temporary fix that would get me to work, home, and to a real tire place on Monday. The employees there were really friendly but the guy who rang me up was wicked rude. First off I got completely ripped off and was charged 80 dollars for an oil change! Which I think is ridiculous .. Esp if you were not asked which oil you wanted to use ! In the case that my car takes regular oil ! Everyone does care for their car as much as possible. I am using jeff lube for oil change from last few years. The only reason is jeff lube is in all state. This is expensive shop no doubt. Quality wise, I would say they provide good service, as I am not a mechanic and can't judge my car engine. I come to this store because this store is near to my home. Perhaps I always had bad experience (Been there twice, had experience with different representative). In first experience - As they said my car millage would improve, my car was giving me good mpg, but they cleaned fuel tank, high quality oil (gas syntactic something)- 108$ which lead to drop my mpg by 7-9 miles/gallon. Secondly printed wrong next service label (this is not bad). As they mention that they vacuumed car interior and clean windows, was missing that part. After few months as they specified free oil top up after burning oil. I been to other mechanic (friend of mine) who specified oil level was little low than expected. So I stopped by in jeff lube. They did nothing. Spend 150$ + for service with no vacuumed cleaning and end up with less mpg. Second time, I really don't wanted to go but after spending 2 hours at different service station and no luck again stopped by at this store. This time I clearly specified what I want, which is normal oil change. They changed high quality oil by their self without asking. Also told me, that its my mistake. I specified about unsatisfied mpg and service. So representative told me, that you should change transmission oil and oil filter to get mpg. I understand that I should have to replace everything over the time but it is unfair deal to pay 100+ dollar for the service which I was not expecting. Another issue is first time I asked for tire rotation. I read about tire rotation, significance of it as well I know how to do it. As I know they exchange tires in X way (front right tire with rear left tire and vise varsa). But in this shop they replaced front left with rear left and front right with rear right. Please go with knowledge in this shop, and prepare for poor servicing. read more

DISASTER. I should have known this was not going to end well when the oil change took 1 hour, the manager told me he had to go out to a parts store to get an oil filter. After spending $90 on oil I drove home. 4 hours later there were 6 QUARTS OF OIL ON MY GARAGE FLOOR. After 2 visits from the manager it turned out the drain plug was not installed correctly. He left me with kitty litter on the floor and no apologies. He couldn't even tell me why my oil level indicator wasn't functioning. I have no idea if any damage occured to my engine while I was driving home. That was bad enough but yesterday the oil pan dropped down while I was driving on Rt 128. It was rattling and scraping, I drove slowly to a shop where they used zip ties to hold it back in place. They told me all of the screws holding the pan were missing. I phoned the Jiffy Lube manager to tell him of the problem and he told me it was my fault that the pan dropped down because I hadn't brought my car back to the shop for him to look at. After the 2 major league screwups by this manager I told him I wanted to speak to the owner. he told me that the OWNER DOESN'T TALK TO CUSTOMERS. He told me no matter what I would end up talking to him and he refused to put me in touch with the owner. I am clearly frustrated after 2 big time mistakes and a manager who wants to blame me and an owner who doesn't talk to customers. DO NOT TRUST JIFFY LUBE TO CHANGE YOUR OIL. read more
