Services done: I had my front break pads and rotors replaced. I originally planned to get my drive belt replaced as well, but upon the Jiffy Lube team's inspection, they advised that I wait. Total service time took about 2 hours and I arrived almost as soon as Jiffy Lube opened (this includes time spent discussing my options). Overall experience: I was helped primarily by Mr. Ron and Mr. Albert - both of whom were very professional and treated me with respect. They showed me everything step-by-step and ran everything by me before they did any maintenance. I still suggest doing your own research before going to them for maintenance. I went to Jiffy Lube originally for a second opinion after being quoted astronomically high prices for the same services at a dealership, so I thought I would give them a try. Jiffy Lube's prices are still pretty high (assuming that they are using aftermarket parts rather than genuine branded products). I wish there were more deals available. Overall, I would consider going back to them. read more

Showed up at 3 pm on a Sunday and was told they might now have time to service my vehicle by the 4 pm closing time. I was willing to wait the hour, but the fact that the manager wasn't willing to have the staff stay and service a customer who was willing to wait patiently, told me all I needed to know. Drove down to The Lube Center and they serviced my car before 4 pm. There were 3 fewer cars waiting. The company advertises 15 minute old changes. The word Jiffy means "a moment". DO NOT GO TO THIS INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS. I brought my car into this Jiffy Lube for a simple oil change, and they disconnected my radiator hose, so my car has been running for a month and a half without antifreeze. They did a "10 pt inspection" and wanted to charge me extra to top off all my fluids and change all my filters. They showed me a clogged cabin filter and told me it was from my car-- which is not possible, because it didn't even look like my car's filter model-- and told me that I needed to change it for $70. Since I only wanted an oil change, I declined everything else vehemently, because they were very aggressively trying to upsell me. So my only conclusion is that because I turned down their extra services, they decided to maliciously disconnect the hose. My engine gasket could be cracked now because they decided since I didn't want their antifreeze, I don't need any at all. This was after I called them and asked if there was a wait, to which they said absolutely not, only to show up and wait for 2 hrs. Just fyi, I'm a woman, and I saw them do this exact same thing to another older woman after me-- same trick with the cabin filter and everything. BEWARE. read more

They don't want your business. My last experience at Jiffy Lube on Walter Johnson in Germantown will be my LAST. I wanted a tune up - Natalie greeted me and told me she'd find out the cost. 5 minutes later, my car was moved outside without any explanation. I found one employee that acted as if he was annoyed when I asked why my car was just moved out of the garage. Then I asked the manager, John, who blew me off completely. I dropped by to have both headlights replaced as one had gone out. They quoted me $110 to do both, and then immediately told me I could pay a lot less if I bought the bulbs myself and they just did the installation. Went to Autozone across the street, came back with bulbs, easy $20 installation. Saved me a bunch of money, and they never had to let me know in the first place! Great experience. read more

I never leave reviews, but I had an extremely poor experience with this Jiffy Lube. To start the nightmare, I called to get a quote and they said it would be $100 for my car. I get to the shop later that day and they're saying it's $150 because my car takes more oil than normal (BS) and $30 to rotate my tires. When I took the car home I looked at it in the garage and saw that on all four tires near the bolts, we're scrapes and scuffs (see attached photos). The marks were so clear and on all four wheels. This means that they had no regard for damaging my wheels and continued on doing it. Here comes the third issue: they screwed in the bolts extremely crooked (see attached photos). All of this happened on December 23rd. It is now January 13th, and I just got everything fixed. I had to haggle with both of their managers to explain that the damage happened on their watch. They didn't want to admit it and they only wanted to pay for half of the repair. Finally, after getting 2 quotes, they chose someone to do the repair and paid for all of it. So they did the right thing in the end, after doing the wrong thing 5 times over, 3 weeks later. If you car about your car at all, do NOT go to this Jiffy Lube. read more

WOW! So funny story I was next door getting my car cleaned at Love My Car Car Wash when smoke started steaming from under my hood. In a panic, and completely oblivious to the fact that there was a Jiffy Lube literally right next door to the car wash, I parked my smoking car on the curbside - and that's when Jose popped up from out of nowhere. Jose had noticed that my car was smoking from across the street and walked over to me to take a look under the hood. Jose was quickly able to determine that some inner working part of the vehicle had torn causing the coolant to leak all over the place, and therefore overheating my car. (Plus it didn't help that it was 97 degrees on a humid summer day in good ole' Maryland) Jose asked me to pull the car up to the Jiffy Lube entrance and was able to get in touch with the dealer and replace the part within a few hours time. Wow! I was getting on with my day in no time at all. To top it off the Jiffy Lube center had an indoor waiting area with coffee, water and even a charging station! (Plus outdoor seating ideal for making phone calls) Hats off to JOSE who was on top of everything the whole way through and came to me from across the street to help me out. Overpriced for an overstay. Gotta wait almost an hr for an oil change. Why do I have to give out my address to get their services? On top of that, I didn't get the services I asked for: oil change and tire rotation. So I waited 40 minutes for a conventional $50 oil change? Better to hit the lube center by MC instead. read more

I'll never go back to this location. Technician, Nadeem, knew my vehicle inside and out whether I took it in for servicing or any of my sons did. I did not know him personally, but always greet us with Mr. or Mrs. Not the same since he went to Mt. Airy. Would rather drive there than go to this one again. Son went in for an oil change which costs more than I've ever paid, and left with no air condition. They told us to come back, which he did immediately, and the technician pulled out a fuse which he said was burnt and the issue. What????? Issue since when? It was working when he got there. Told him he could fix it on the spot for another $300! Be careful. Bait and switch/break and switch. Never again. read more

I am not from around here, in town for business, drove from Illinois about 800 miles. While driving here I notice smoke from under the hood. I had just had my oil changed before leaving home. didn't know what to do, I called this location and asked if I could bring my car in for them to check for oil leak. Upon arriving all staff was right on point, there were about 4 guys looking into my issue, it was the drain plug, they replaced it and sent me in my way. I went in for an oil change and the next thing I knew, Nadeem was trying to charge me over $800 for all the things my car "needed". I understand trying to pull one over on women who don't know anything about cars is just the way of the world, but some of us are at least smart enough to put our husbands on the phone. Unfortunately I have stopped giving Jiffy Lube business. I'm not sure if the problem is just this particular store or all of Jiffy Lube since I have been only giving them business for 15 years. They have had a very sleazy salesman type that greets you and is a fast talker. They upsell and cut corners, such as not completing all the services, and many other ways for profit. I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for years. Everyone there is very professional, courteous, and nice. Jose and Roberto are the ones I deal with the most. Every member of the Germantown Jiffy Lube team is lights out. This Jiffy Lube is the first place I go whenever I need something done to my cars. They take the time to answer questions and also have no problem with referring you some place else if they cannot do the work (mechanical). An absolute joy going there. I also like the camaraderie they show with each other. I love how they interact and get along- making the job fun. I also like seeing how the managers and upper level staff help mentor the newer members and help them grow. read more

I wanted to send out BIG BLESSINGS to all of the gentlemen that helped me today once I arrived at this Jiffy Lube. I had panicked when I left my 2nd job at 3pm and went to turn on my car to find the engine light came on..I was so scared driving home 1st time this happened to me...I stop twice. Once I got home something said call Jiffy Lube to see if they was still open. Thank God they were. I told the man I spoke to on the phone I needed to come in. I prayed the whole way there, but I made it. The men took over. One gentleman came over several times explained to me what was going on..told me what my options where and explained the risks.... It was spark plugs.... Thank God that solved the problem.. I was so over come with Joy I started crying.
