Employees standing around while I'm waiting for service.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANYTHING! THE WORST SERVICE AND TREATMENT I'VE EVER RECEIVED IN MY LIFE from an establishment!! I went in for a state inspection at 11:30 on 8/22. It was a repeat inspection as my car had previously failed. There was no one in front of me and I was told the inspector was there. I proceeded to wait with my car, and a lady came and took my registration and told me to wait. I waited for around 10-12 minutes while workers were standing around talking. No services were being performed at the time. Tired of waiting, I got out and asked where the inspector was, as I had to go! I was told he was coming. Another customer behind me was waiting also. After about another 5 minutes, someone finally comes and takes my car into the bay. The customer behind me wanted to leave and I told the people in the bay that she wanted her registration back and would just go elsewhere. They told her to pull into the bay next to mine. When I went in to pay I complained to the person taking my money about how I shouldn't have to wait like that while people were standing around. He then said "well you should've gone someplace else then!" I couldn't believe I was being treated with such rudeness!! I gave him a piece of my mind and told them I will never ever come here again, and he said, "fine then don't!" Don't waste your hard earned dollars on such lack luster service and rude treatment by employers. DO NOT COME TO THIS JIFFY LUBE!!

Went in for the signature service oil change when I needed to get it done quickly. The oil change was fast but they skipped over vacuuming the interiors and it makes me wonder what else they skipped. The waiting room is clean, quiet and has wifi if you want to get a few minutes of work done. Staff are super friendly as well.

Neat, super friendly, quick service!

Keith was super friendly. He had me in and out for an oil change and air filter replacement in less than 25 minutes. He even gave me a coupon book for future services! Definitely my go to spot!

Repairs done (single visit): Radiator & coolant compressor. This is a chain, apparently, but this…read morereview is specific to this locale. It seemed worthwhile to post a review because I noted a prior negative one related to a similar radiator repair. That made me very nervous myself when spotting it only after I'd left our Honda Accord there, but our experience was as positive as any car repair can be in trying circumstances. I had to very quickly find a garage via Siri search while on the road, with the added pressure that it was late afternoon, with many shops nearby already closed. This one was just minutes away from my highway location so the choice was pretty much forced on me by my highly alarmingly worded warning light. (What had seemed a minor cosmetic-damage-only encounter between car's front end & a buried railroad tie had, in fact, ruptured the coolant system, draining all the fluid, with potential to dangerously overheat the engine.) The very efficient and well-informed woman at the front desk helped advise the technician and they got my car in and assessed it together with speed & competency. Her initial estimate of damage and cost turned out to be accurate and both she and a man who alternated with update calls were helpful with the process of syncing with insurance + locating parts. Communication with us was routine and clear. During the initial wait, I saw them being equally well organized and courteous with others, even though it was then very close to closing time. I'm no automotive expert, so can't advise with any certainty if the job could have been done cheaper or faster (it took a few days due to coordination with insurance & getting one part), but...the final tally was adjusted slightly lower to match my insurance coverage -- much appreciated -- and three weeks later, car is still performing great following the repair (I wanted to wait on a review to ensure no surprises.) Also, they were kind to an elderly family member I was with, keeping the office open a little late so I could run down the road to pick up a rental. So, for making the crap experience of a car accident far from home a process as painless as possible: all stars.

Second time decided to get there earlier at 3:30 and told me they couldn't take me, keep in mind there were only 2 cars parked and 2 cars inside with the alignment section no cars in there. I've taken both my other cars here and got taken care of with no problem, love the service but that one employee was not it! Thanks

Brought it back in, they said the actual issue was a compressor wire rubbing against something. They had the gall to attempt to charge me for another "diagnostic fee" to find the same issue they should've found when I brought it in for the week prior. When I argued over why I was being charged another diagnostic fee, the manager said "it's a different issue than what you brought it in for last time, last time you said it wasn't blowing air at all." That is absolutely not what I said. I said the AC was not blowing cool air consistently, but it was still blowing air. When I informed the manager of this he got noticeably flustered and immediately took the diagnostic fee off of my check, which made me suspicious. So I did some research and spoke with my mechanic buddy, I discovered that my car had NONE of the symptoms of a bad blower motor when I brought it in to this Firestone. Yet their $80 "diagnostic" found that, that was main problem. Which, obviously was NOT the issue with my car. So I reluctantly paid for the $120 labor cost to move and repair a compressor wire. Again, before I could even get home my air conditioning was not working. So I brought it in for a third and final time and told them I am not paying for any more work and they need to fix the issue that I've had for the past 3 trips to this Firestone. The issue ended up being another wire that was hanging by a thread and it took them 3 times to find it. It would've cost around $120 total to fix the actual problem with my car, but I ended up paying over $600 for their mistakes, laziness, and parts I DIDNT NEED. Make sure you know your car better than these guys or they'll end up taking advantage of your lack of knowledge squeezing $600 out of your $100 problem.

I took it back to the shop and they told me it had essentially no coolant in it. I immediately asked the technicians why there was no coolant. They told me, "It was filled up when it was here." When I asked, "Then why is there no coolant in it now?", they couldn't give me an explanation beyond repeating that they had filled it. The car continued losing coolant and overheating. I brought it back multiple times, and I was repeatedly told that they had pressure-tested the cooling system and that there were no pressure issues and everything was fine. They also told me there were no warning lights indicating a problem. Meanwhile, I was constantly having to refill the coolant and pull over when the car overheated. One time I had to sit on the side of the road for about 45 minutes waiting for a friend to bring me coolant just so I could get the car home without overheating it. Eventually the car broke down on the highway and had to be towed. After all those previous visits where I was assured the cooling system was fine, I was finally told that the head gasket had blown and that replacing the engine would cost around $6,000. After I challenged that price, the estimate was suddenly reduced to around $3,000. I'm not upset that a Subaru developed a mechanical problem. I'm upset that I repeatedly reported coolant loss and overheating, and I was repeatedly told the cooling system was fine. The car eventually suffered a major failure anyway. I don't trust this shop and I won't be taking another vehicle there. If you're dealing with a recurring mechanical problem, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before continuing to rely on their diagnosis

The place to go for oil changes, inspections and repairs!…read more I have been a long-time customer of this business. The guys at Hope Valley 66 auto repair shop always contact you within a timely basis to give you a reasonable estimate on any repairs that you may need. They will not suggest unnecessary repairs and will not try to overcharge you on service. Getting oil changes and inspections here is a breeze, I never have to wait very long, especially if I arrive in the morning on a weekend. If you need a more complex maintenance service or repair performed, generally you need to bring in your vehicle on a weekday for the mechanic to perform diagnostics. Whenever I have had to drop off my car for such a service, I will receive a call within a few hours after diagnostics are complete, with an estimate to approve of the repair. Usually, the repair (brake work for example) is complete by the end of the day. On occasion, a repair might take longer than that due to waiting on a part to arrive or some other factor but rarely do I have to wait more than a day or so. Be aware that this is an independent shop, not part of a large dealership chain or something, so the waiting area is fairly small and spartan. I believe there is free Wi-Fi available but have not had to use it for any period of time. Again, Hope Valley 66 offers solid, reliable service for very reasonable rates and I would recommend them easily.
