Last month, though, I was disappointed. Three guys were working on my truck when a businessman pulled up in a big 3500. Suddenly everyone shifted to his vehicle. I could not help but wonder if it was because I am a woman. I stepped out, looked under my hood, and asked, "Are we done here?" They said no and quickly came back to finish my service. I value the work they do, but I hope in the future all customers are treated with the same priority and respect.

I also monitored where I park my vehicle and I have never found oil stains. This time however after they turned me down again, I went home to verify what they claimed and when I looked under my vehicle I found one of their technician had tagged my vehicle "Fake 5"! If this is how they treat potential customers vehicle's I'm glad they didn't service me. Pros Convenience: This spot is extremely convenient. You don't have to get out of your car and they check all liquids, air tires, change air filters (including cabin) and wiper blades. I feel a lot of people forget there's a big price tag for convenience. Think of gas store prices for a candy bar, it's 2-3 times more than you would pay at Walmart. Location: roughly a mile away down Loop 336 from I-45. Once your cars finished you can get right back on the road quickly. Service: Every-time I have come to this location I'm greeted with a smile (even when it's 100 degrees outside). They always offer me a bottle of water and keep me in the loop through the whole process. Not a single employee has ever been rude. Cons Price: You can easily get an oil change at a local mom/pop shop for a lot cheaper than what they charge here. I've come here for the past two years and the prices have gone up 20 bucks at least. Time: Although convenient, a lot of people come here so it's not quick and there's usually a line. The quickest time I've ever experienced was 20 minutes. I'm a huge fan of convenience and love the fact I can stay in my vehicle. Come get your oil changed if you're in need or in a hurry.

I was told they'd get it right in. That didn't happen. When I told them I'll take it to another shop they charged me for a engine diagnosis the but no report or no diagnose for engine problem. Called Gene at Conroe's Choice Automotive in Conroe, TX. and then went to talk directly with him at Conroe's Choice Automotive in Conroe, TX. I explained I had the truck at another shop and decided to replace the motor, as my motor had a lot of miles on it. I purchased the motor and had it shipped directly to his shop, and he could replace the motor with the re-manufactured motor. He said he could and quoted me a price that was reasonable, he also replaced a radiator with a larger cooling system. Total price was $4000.00 less than Milstead's quote even with the cost of the motor and radiator. The work was completed and 2 days later, the truck is running like a top and cooling system is not gone over the normal operating temperature for that engine. So the truck was done at the date stated and was not released until they made sure it was running right and no codes were showing. Happy so far, Thanks to Gene and mechanics.

One time we need a battery swapped out it's pretty hard to get to under the fender when we came to pick it up the fender and the will well were not put back together correctly, so I had to tell the young man at the front desk that the whole unit is loose and he copped an attitude and put it back in his shop and had his guys fix it. Another time we were here our car kept stalling. I told them that it seemed like it was the security system that needed to be rebooted, but they had to try every other option and kept the car for four days charging us almost $1000 to reboot the security system and give us a new key pad. Another time I asked him if they could check the brakes on the vehicle, cause they were acting strange and would offer them to pay for a new brake job when I get there the young man at the desk tells me that they have to charge us to look at it. Who charges to look at a vehicle's brake pads to see if they're good or not. I guess this place does and the only place that I could find that does. At this point I realized all they care about is the money they don't give a crap about the customers. When I found out, they want to charge me this astronomical price just to look at the brake pads and give me an estimate. They offered us water and the waiting room was quiet and cozy. One of the guys waiting mentioned that he brings his 3 cars in and they have excellent service. I didn't even realize that they did more than oil changes and inspections. The tech mentioned that they are a multi-point service facility. Sure enough, I looked outside and there was a sign stating that fact. Info that is good to know, as I didn't even know such a thing existed. I would definitely go back for any auto service.

Was pretty busy today so oil change took a little longer than usual. Service was great. About 4 employees total messed with my car because they were so busy. Needed the 'service required' computer message to be reset. Sadly I bought my car used and it had no manual. One of the two female employees knew right what to do after three males didn't. I went in for a routine oil check (which they took an hour and 40 minutes to do) they then proceeded to quote me for 300 Dollar drive belts, a $300 cooling flush, a $500 valve cover gasket, and $3000 to remove and replace a suspension control arm. Not even to mention the realizing that they said they didn't include in the quote. When I went to a dealership to get this all checked, the only thing is I was wrong was that my battery was a little bit slow, which is something they didn't even find. TLDR: they will up charge you to hell and back and not even spot the things are actually wrong with your car.
