Had an absolutely wonderful experience with this company for our vacation adventures over the 4th…read moreholiday weekend. Started the day with River rafting 3 hr trip with Goose. He was an absolute delight. So easy to talk to, definitely qualified and made us all feel very safe. He was a doll and very patient with our nervous 8 year old as well. She started off in borderline tears and by the end was floating down the river outside of the raft on her own. Again, 10/10 for Goose and the 3 hour raft trip. Ended the day with the 2 hour sunset horseback ride. Scooter was also amazing with our group. Very skilled young lady who handled our interesting group very well. Empowered our young rider to be confident and handle her own on her first ever trail ride. She's still talking about her horse Lucky and how much she admired our guide. Very relaxing and 100% enjoyable ride. We will definitely use Rim Rock for future adventures when in town.

There was zero water movement and it ended up being a very boring, floating trip. The guide had to paddle all 3 hours just to get the boat to its destination. Not worth $400. I wish they would have let us know it would be so uneventful. All guides were great and very good with the kids.

From the pool, to the bathroom, to the playground, yet no one abides by any and I can't blame them for how much it costs. There are A LOT of sports teams that come through here and they are terrible. They let their kids do anything, run around and destroy things and run through your campground. This place is the most expensive place I have been, well over $1600 a month plus power if you should happen to stay longer than anticipated and they STILL charge for some kid activities..like how is that not included?! $2 for rock painting, $1 for ice cream socials and ALWAYS have a tip jar out. They nickel and dime you for everything and won't tell you about it until after. Anything after 45 days here they charge you $5 per DAY for mail service. I didn't know til after. Their store is extremely overpriced to be expected. Bathroom toilets never work. The showers you only get for 15 minutes..there is a timer that beeps every minute which is quite stressful. The pool, hot tub and splash pad are always being worked on and in repairs. This place is far from a resort, stay away. I do not recommend and won't be putting any positives today.

We started with the Zuccini Fritti, a simple but tasty appetizer. Then tried the Louisiana Gumbo and NY strip. The gumbo was spicy and tasty, even my husband liked it and he is not a fan of spicy. The NY Strip was served as ordered and full of flavor. We finished dinner off with their white chocolate cheese cake, which by the way is gluten free. We would have never known had we not been told. A great way to end a meal. For beverages, we decided to be adventurous and tried the Savauge wine, specifically Devils Prey. As somewhat of a wine conisuer, I was impressed with this Colorado wine - it's not your traditional CO wine. Smooth and tasty. This will definitely be our go to dinner place. Excited to try breakfast and lunch too. We recommend giving this place a try. While some of the reviews are concerned about prices and service - not our experience at all! Service was great and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food.

Once we're seated, we waited 10 mins for someone to take our drink order (a soda and a beer), 10 mins to get our drinks, then she couldn't take our food order, waited 10 mins to order our food... and we were the only table in the joint. LITERALLY. I ordered a 10 oz ribeye medium rare and it came well done (maybe med well? See pic) and a quarter inch thick... 10oz size questionable. Also notice how all of my sides were eaten but the steak is still on the plate... yeah she didn't check to see how our food was until we flagged her down like sailors in distress. The waitress informed me that they cut all their ribeyes that thin and if I got another ribeye, it would be 1/4 inch thick also, so I didn't order another. My friend's filet was blue rare (raw but seared on edges) but ordered medium rare and the waitress didn't offer to cook it more but instead blamed it on having a new cook. Took Kirsten 10 mins to get me a menu. When Kirsten finally found the time to come by our table to have me order a replacement, my friend finished her dinner already. I got the cowboy chili with cornbread. The chili was lukewarm if I am being generous- they could've just microwaved it like wtf how do you serve lukewarm/room temp chili if you have a microwave??? The cornbread was dry and crumbled into a million pieces. The service was the worst and least attentive I've had in maybe ten years probably my entire life. It was almost like we were in a comedy skit except it wasn't funny. I will never ever ever go back. Texas Roadhouse is way better which is just sad. I did notice an employee eating a big beautiful steak while she closed out her shift, I asked what cut and she said a ribeye. So I guess they cut the 1-1.5 inch thick cuts for employee steaks and customers get ribeyes a 1/4 inch thin cooked into shoe leather. Pro tip: go to Strayhorn. Rumor is cattleman's doesn't even use local beef anymore, they just cosplay ranch life so you get to eat a low quality steak with the comforting smell of cow poo.
