    My favorite selfie with Navidad!

My husband found this place in a tour magazine and we decided to check it out. I fell in love right away. The owner, Mike offers a wealth of knowledge and has such a calm, positive energy. He truly loves what he does and you can tell by the way he transmits his knowledge as you walk with the alpacas. We fed the alpacas, my son let his dogs and we spent a good 2 hours enjoying our time there also learning about the Mill and how alpaca fur is turned into yarn. I was truly impressed with this place and highly recommend whether you're an adult or child, it was such a beautiful experience!!

We were in Grand Junction for a soccer tournament and my wife found this place and had to go. We toured the farm and fed the alpacas while Mike taught us about them and their uses. He was super friendly and answered any question that we had. We were bummed we didn't get to do the walking tour (had to get back to Grand Junction for a soccer game). We all loved the the farm and said it was one of the top things we did while in the Grand Junction area. Highly recommend for people with or without kids.

This is worth the visit! I have been to Palisade before, and had no idea this existed and I'm so sad I've missed out on years of visits while in town! Did you know you were missing out on hanging out with alpacas your whole life? Fix that as soon as possible by visiting SunCrest Orchard! We signed up for the tour online the night before, and arrived pretty early. We got to walk around and look at the alpacas, take photos, and look at the gift shop until our tour started. We walked the alpacas down the road, got to take a picture with them in front of the business sign, and learned lots of interesting alpaca facts. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and friendly. The sprinklers were on so we were not able to walk through an orchard with the alpacas because they get spooked easily, but it just means we will have to go back to do it again! Then we walked the alpacas back and learned how to make wool and the entire process from start to finish which was interesting. My only negative comment is that the employees do not wear masks. They said they were "accepting" of those who chose to wear masks, no judgment, but that made me feel more judged. Every member of our tour group was wearing masks (even a 10 year old child), which felt tone-deaf on the part of the business. I will likely wait to visit again until after the pandemic, as I don't feel comfortable with employees not wearing masks especially inside while learning how to make the wool.

I loved this place so much! The journey from downtown Palisade on a bicycle here, not so much. There was a very large hill and I almost didn't make it, but very glad I did. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and Mike came out to greet us. He started talking about the alpacas, answering questions and gave us a tour of the workshop. They process fur from other place, make yarn and products here. I got to see the alpacas up close and even touched one of them (although they like to maintain their distance at an arms length away). THEY WERE SO CUTE!!! I could watch them for hours. The store has some cool alpaca gear, yarn and homemade soaps. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Such a fun time at this little alpaca farm! Beautiful fall weather and the perfect backdrop. The animals are super friendly and so are the people who run this place. Becky, a volunteer took the time to introduce us to the animals and gave us the background on the farm. Mike, the owner, was also super friendly and knowledgeable. We had a blast! Highly recommend for anyone passing through the area.

Had a wonderful morning on an alpaca trek. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone. It is well worth the price. The Owner is a delight. Support him all you can!

We had the best time waking alpacas, learning about their history, and seeing the process of making products with their hair. Mike was fantastic! He was informative and fun and the alpacas seemed to enjoy the walk too. I highly recommend reserving a spot to go on the walk- you won't regret it! Beautiful location, fun experience, and great information. Once the walk was over, we expected that to be it but Mike took us inside where we saw the steps to the entire process of making things from the shear they had recently done with their alpacas. We ended in the store/gift shop where there were so many cool options to choose from it was hard to only select a few. Thanks for the fun adventure, Mike!

This was by far one of the best experiences! Mike is such a humble, compassionate, hard working man who truly has a gift caring for the alpacas and the farm he grew up on. He made us feel like a part of everything he and his family have worked so hard for all these years. When in Palisade, a must! Be sure to shop at their local store and support the ever evolving business! Thanks so much Mike for the warmest welcome and genuine kindness. We wish you and your family all the best and whenever we are near, will always try and make a stop to say hello and support the amazing, hard work you do!

I LOVE this alpaca farm! I have gone back several times now taking my parents, cousins, and friends. This is an excellent activity to do anytime you want to do something different. And it's a safe activity being that it's outdoors. Rocket man is my favorite little alpaca male. I request him every time, but any of them are super cute. Taking a walk in the vineyards with your own alpaca is so calming and peaceful. This farm area is beautiful! Farmer Mike has such a great passion for what he does. I've learned so much from the tours!!

We had a wonderful time on the alpaca trek today! Each person got their own alpaca and we led them through the beautiful peach orchards and around the property. It was really great to see Mike, a small farmer, educating people and working really hard to make an impact with his alpacas and alpaca wool. Make sure you stop by the store on your way out!

Mike was so friendly and welcoming! He taught us more about Alpacas than I ever could've guessed and took time to show us the intricacies of taking care of alpacas all the way to the making of yarn and garments. We were so lucky to see a brand new alpaca! Only 18 days old and he was such a cutie! It is a wonderful break from wineries for adults and very fun for kids as well and anyone in between.

Dinner at their Feast in the Fields event during Palisade Peach Festival. Incredible 9 acre farm specializing in peaches and alpacas.

Feast in the Fields dinner - WOW WOW WOW. It wasn't even so much the food, which was good, but just the opportunity to dine in such a beautiful outdoor setting like a peach orchard was truly over the top special; in the peach mecca of Colorado: Palisade no less!. We were fortunate to enjoy our meal from Enzo's Italian Cafe on a beautifully set table, under twinkling lights, surrounded by lush green peach trees (4,000 of them on the farm!). The icing on the top was enjoying our meal next to the farm owners Mike and Cindy who were so genuine and fun! I love their story about Mike being a second generation farmer, and he and Cindy used to walk the orchard picking peaches when they first started dating; they bought the 9 acre farm from his parents 13 years ago. The meal itself was very well done. The burrata and peach appetizer was amazing!! LOVE that, of course, the peaches were from their farm. The wine pairings from a local Palisade winery were a wonderful compliment to each course. All in all a delightful evening full of good food, good wine, and great company! They also raise alpacas and mill their wool (? wool? fur??) onsite. Our dinner, as prepared by the chef from Enzo's, actually included alpaca meat which was new and different; and no it did not taste like chicken, more like ground buffalo as it was super lean. It was a little off-putting to eat alpaca while you could watch the alpacas in their pens, but I got over it pretty quickly :) Really enjoyed shopping in their little store too- my hubby ended up with some alpaca fiber socks and we also got a little alpaca fiber soap thingy. Mike and Cindy explained they also offer learning tours through the orchards with the alpacas so we will definitely be coming back to experience that with our kids. Mike and Cindy are running an incredible place here, and I encourage you to check it out for yourself!

We stopped here when we were on the Palisade fruit and wine byway and it was a great decision. We got to pet some really cute alpacas and learn how they make the fur into finished products. The owners were nice and seemed to love what they do. I'd recommend stopping in if you're on the byway!

Loved the tour and the animals. I wish they had more items in their store for sale as I would have bought more.

Since our trip was a celebratory one, our anniversary, Gary brought out a bottle of the sparkling rosé. We ordered a tasting from Marissa, who was helpful giving us recommendations. There are shade sails outside and we were sitting under one, enjoying the snack we had brought along. My brother-in-law was asking questions about the restored cars and that was a fascinating conversation. The vineyard was not only restored to its current state but the owner also restores classic Mercedes cars. The views are spectacular and you can see a great distance. A short rain storm swooped in and sent us running for shelter, but it soon passed and the sun reappeared. Overall great visit. I would recommend going to this winery.
