The bright pink color draws your eye and the funny signage and yummy merchandise inside keeps your attention. The lady behind the counter was a personality and we had a good conversation. Alas I didn't get her name as other customers came in. I picked up a jar of Vermont maple syrup having heard of how good it is. Some peaches of course, salsa and pickled baby corn. Chose some hot sauces and honey butter. They put everything in a box for me which was great as I couldn't carry the items home. Very convenient. First time driving thru Palisade on our way back from Grand Junction and Moab. It's a quaint town known for local farms and wineries. Clark Family Orchards seemed like a reliable spot, so we stopped by to check out the fruit stand. Now, this isn't one of those rinky dink fruit stands on the side of the highway. For starters, you are surrounded by beautiful views of the Grand Mesa. It's a charming store with an abundance of products. You can easily drop a small fortune if you weren't careful. We bought a whole lot of fresh peaches, cherries and jams. The peaches and cherries were consumed right away, and damn they were mighty tasty treats. Nothing better than freshly harvested fruits. The peaches steal the show, but I implore you not to skip out on the cherries. They are just as fantastic! There are a good amount of orchards and farms to choose from when out in Palisade. Clark is a great family owned one to support.

The plants are thriving and we've been enjoying the vinegars and oil. Recently, I tried drizzling strawberry basil vinegar over half my mozzarella Caprese salad and tangerine over the other half. My guests loved the flavors. Today we decided to add more flavors to our pantry. The proprietresses were extremely helpful. We tried many flavors and flavor combinations and were given great ideas on which foods went best with them. We also found a spice blend that is flavorful and versatile. We more than doubled our existing vinegars and oils. Some will be gifts but the rest will enhance dishes from salads to desserts. If you find yourself near Palisade, Colorado, we recommend visiting this business. It has wide range of products in an attractive setting and knowledgeable staff.
