Alas I didn't get her name as other customers came in. I picked up a jar of Vermont maple syrup having heard of how good it is. Some peaches of course, salsa and pickled baby corn. Chose some hot sauces and honey butter. They put everything in a box for me which was great as I couldn't carry the items home. Very convenient. First time driving thru Palisade on our way back from Grand Junction and Moab. It's a quaint town known for local farms and wineries. Clark Family Orchards seemed like a reliable spot, so we stopped by to check out the fruit stand. Now, this isn't one of those rinky dink fruit stands on the side of the highway. For starters, you are surrounded by beautiful views of the Grand Mesa. It's a charming store with an abundance of products. You can easily drop a small fortune if you weren't careful. We bought a whole lot of fresh peaches, cherries and jams. The peaches and cherries were consumed right away, and damn they were mighty tasty treats. Nothing better than freshly harvested fruits. The peaches steal the show, but I implore you not to skip out on the cherries. They are just as fantastic! There are a good amount of orchards and farms to choose from when out in Palisade. Clark is a great family owned one to support.

My wife and I have been doing a wood ministry for the elderly people on the Navajo reservation for the past three years. We acquire firewood, some donated, some we buy, we load up our trailer and go distribute it at different homes within the Navajo reservation. A close friend of mine lives in Grand Junction, Colo. stated he wanted to help. Jason Harris works at Dan's towing and he contacted the ladies of this place and they donated firewood and fresh peaches on October 10, 2019. The firewood and fresh peaches went to a family of a Vietnam veteran, a recently widowed lady and several other families. Some received just peaches, a few received firewood, a couple received both. Thank YOU, Leslie, Carey & Debbie . Update: we went back for more, 10-26-19, bought some more peaches as the season progresses to a close. We're already planning a run for cherries in June 2020. Te cherries were starting to wilt and the tomatoes weren't very ripe. In fact, they looked like store tomatoes. You know what though, shame on me for buying them anyways. I guess long gone are the days where you can grab real bargains on they side of the road. A bag of cherries and 2 tomatoes ran us $14. Should be called the 1-70 fruit nazi stand. First of all, extremely reasonable prices for peaches (and seconds!), jams, sauces, and fresh veg. My favorite part about this spot is that they let you TRY A FREEBIE before you buy. I have yet to see anywhere else in Palisade that is so confident in their quality, they will let you have a whole dang peach! The ladies running the counter are always so kind. They are constantly refreshing the shelves, making sure customers are finding what they need, and keeping their beautiful farmhouse-vibe in this produce stand authentic. I never feel rushed, and they have an AC and a walk in cooler in case you get too hot. The perfect spot to cool off and get some fresh Palisade sunshine to take home. Even as I write this review, not even 2 hours later I have inhaled 2 more peaches, and am eying my third. Recommended stop for anyone looking for a good deal and even better peaches!
