We had very good weather, and after selecting our wines for the tasting, the flight was brought to us, with a bucket of snacks to pick from, and even an extra pour to taste something he recommended. To add to it's charm, he sat with us for a bit and talked to us, like we were family, and his dogs come and say hi, which is always a plus for me. Whomever is making their wines here certainly knows what they are doing. I consider this place a hidden gem of wineries in Palisade. The owner was there when I was visiting and she is an amazing person, and so kind. The facility has some seating inside and some outside in the shade, next to their vineyard. Ever since Alidas was bought out the quality has gone downhill. Last year I thought we received…read moresmaller peaches because of the damaged crop but according to my friends in the area there were plenty of large peaches. This year again we received tiny peaches in September. Alidas always had the biggest and best peaches that would arrive ready to eat. This year and last the peaches arrived past their prime with many so damaged (including mold) we couldn't salvage them. Shipping is so expensive and having to throw away 30% is not acceptable. I would know - apples are crisps and juicy - "Alida's Apple Pie" is a white chocolate covered dehydrated apple topped with a little cinnamon. It is moist and out of this world... A must try! All in all great local Colorado produce joint and the one star post has obviously blown their misunderstanding out of proportion in to a HATE review. Buy Alida's goods. I don't know them but they truly offer some tasty treats.
