An absolutely amazing experience. I was born & raised here in Grand Junction, I'm 25. I've been to RimRock a million different times for rodeos, rafting trips, but I wasn't ever able to do the horseback ride until tonight. My best friend & I chose the sunset ride, & it was stunning. Jade & Curvy the two guides were both delightful, so personable, very intelligent, & made sure everyone knew what they needed to be doing. The views were spectacular. The sunset turns the mountains a beautiful pink color, the different rock formations, & canyons you see throughout the ride is a memory we're never going to forget. Absolutely 100% worth every penny. Thank you so much for an unforgettable time.

    Before the storm, evening horseback.

We did the paddle and saddle adventures; 3-hour morning paddle on the CO River and 2-hour sunset horseback trail ride. Fantastic, friendly guides on both adventures. Brock was knowledgeable, personable and entertaining on the paddle. Our evening ride was unfortunately cut short by a pretty intense thunderstorm -but our guides Rose and Jade, handled it perfectly, calmly getting us and our horses safely back to the ranch. Rimrock Adventures was excellent when I called the next day, refunding a reasonable portion of the trip. Professional, confident and skilled guides and staff. Great experience, overall.

This was such a beautiful ride. The horses were sweet, guide was friendly, riders were engaging. Thank you for a great ride and it was extended after starting late so was very pleased.

We had a half-day saddle and paddles and we loved it. We booked the horses at 7:30 am and that was the best time to do it since after 9 am it gets really hot. More than 1 hour ride will hurt your legs if you aren't used to riding a horse. So that was a good time for us. The boat ride was more than 2 hours total. The tour guy was awesome funny and just cool. We had a great time. Totally recommend this place.

We did the sunset tour as a family of four with two kids 8 and 11. It was excellent, the guides were great, friendly, and the horses were excellent. It was the perfect way to end a day of exploring through the Colorado National Monument. We are all beginner horseback riders and we felt completely safe the whole time and we're able to just enjoy the beautiful scenery as the sun set on the canyons. We also saw lots of animal tracks that intrigued the kids, lots of bunnies and even some bats. Would definitely come back if we are in the area again and highly recommend you visit.

Just finished a guided float on the Colorado River. Our guide Cam was wonderful. The trip was relaxing and beautiful.

My husband ended up on a horse that would not be directed properly and wanted to go back to the barn- so she started BUCKING him- very scary. The worst part was that the owner took ZERO responsibility for this incident and basically called me a liar. wow - so much for the customer is always right. My husband was so shaken up he did not go on the ride at all and the owner would not refund the ride or even entertain our side of the story saying that since we were 10 min late it was OUR fault! Mind you the place is in the middle of nowhere with no cell or GPS available and spotty signage once you make the turn into the driveway. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. **here's an update: they did refund the ride but that was not communicated to me on the hostile phone call I received from the barn - maybe the owner ? Don't know because she did not have the good manners to introduce herself......

I would not recommend this tour for younger kids (under 10) or inexperienced riders. The horses were not well behaved & were hard to control, even the helper got thrown off a hill by her horse, thankfully she didn't hit her head on a rock. I've ridden horses 10+ times & I never felt scared before. My horse Jem was very difficult, she kept trotting every time we went downhill & I almost fell off twice. She also kicked & injured 2 other horses who got too close. I wasn't able to ride with my kids since the horses decided where they wanted to be & the tour guides had a hard time corralling horses when taking a group photo. I would think twice about booking.

The wines I picked were on cards which had descriptions of each one on the back. Each wine I tried was great - the gal in the smaller building out front and near the sitting area was very knowledgeable and friendly. There is ample seating and even reserved tables available if you're with a larger group. For a Saturday, it wasn't terribly busy and finding a spot to sit wasn't difficult. At the end, you tell the gal which wine was your favorite and they give you a wine glass charm that matches the one you picked, so cute and thoughtful! I also bought a bottle of my favorite and they offered to chill it before I left. Both the tasting and bottle were reasonably priced. There's also a trolley that stops by and takes people to different wineries - a perfect way to wine hop and not worry about transportation. Definitely recommend if you find yourself in Palisade.

She canceled our initial booking due to weather, which we understood. We confirmed to reschedule for Sunday, but she somehow booked us for Saturday -- our travel day -- without our confirmation. When we politely tried to sort it out, she gave us major attitude. Still, we tried to make it work and moved our ride to Monday at 8 AM. She never sent us an actual address -- just a vague trail name. I sent her a pin to confirm the location (which she approved), but it took us to a remote mountaintop trail. We got lost, had poor signal, and tried repeatedly to reach her. When she finally picked up, she was hostile, accusatory, and even cursed at us, blaming us for being "late." Even after explaining we never got directions and had made multiple efforts to show up -- she refused a refund and left us stranded. She said she wouldn't refund us simply because she "didn't want to." Horrible experience. Do not book here unless you want to risk being mistreated, disrespected, and charged for a ride you never get.

Unfortunately, due to the nearby fires there was heavy smoke everywhere. The owners realized it would be unbearable to stay there and offered us a bridal suite at their recently purchased ranch which is 15 minutes away. After a few rural roads we came upon their place... OMG what a ranch! It was how one would imagine a ranch to be... white fenced sections, horses, wildlife, stables, lots of well-kept acreage with many large shady trees also many apple trees. A beautiful huge main house to one side, the bridal suite across the driveway very privately surrounded by beautiful lawns and trees with lots of shade. One of the family members took us on a tour around the 21 acres and as the ranch name suggests, they have a huge red barn along with stables, corrals, ponds, more B&B suites, just amazing! It had a perfect reception hall that opens to a vast lawn, this with a complete bar, bandstand; this is a perfect place for a wedding. The entire place was super clean and well kept. Our mornings were very relaxing... peacefully quiet but for the soothing soft breeze through the trees. Breakfast on our private patio was a treat and did I mention the delicious coffee? Luis and Kristine along with their wonderful family were so welcoming and are the warmest of hosts, one and all. We really enjoyed their company. This ranch is a perfect place for a wedding, family reunion, retreat or whatever! We look forward to coming back very soon. We loved it and you will too!
