This shop reminds me of some of the local, cozy neighborhood crafting stores back home. Every time I'm near main street I have to stop in and look around. They carry a plethora of yarn in any color imaginable. I prefer not to spend a fortune on yarn, but if I'm going to do it, this is the place. My favorite little feature is the table stocked with individual pattern cards. They are affordable, easy to follow and just plain cute. A must visit for any knitter/crafter.

They have a ton of fun classes for adults and children that they have on a pretty regular basis. I have been to do the gnome class where you get to make a gnome out of clay yourself and then paint it. They are super helpful and break things down to a simple level. We ended up picking a couple of ornaments for our first tree together ( a penguin on a clothes pin, a baby Jesus "hope" ornament and a snowman with a funny face) and all for only $12. I found this shop to be affordable and friendly ( a dog and kitten were roaming around), someplace I would gladly support on a trip back to Grand Junction.

Perfect temperature - some places turn the thermostat to brain freeze temp when it's hot outside and to me, that makes it miserable. We each had a red flight with four tastes. I really liked the Merlot and it had just a little spice at the finish. The Cab Franc smelled awesome and was very berry. The Cab Sauvignon had a beautiful color and bouquet but was little tannin heavy for my taste. I finished with the Cab Franc Reserve - intense dark fruit - and was in heaven. They have a little store so we picked up a bottle as well as a bottle of jalapeño peach vinaigrette. We were offered a glass of champagne on our way out and that was wonderful too! A great enjoyment for us was the presence of two large toads in the fountain at the entrance who were hanging out eating the insects. Super cute!
