REPORTING THIS COMPANY TO CRIME PREVENTION. Do NOT conduct business with these thieves. I found out I was talking to JK TowIng owner the whole time. Don't let him tell you MIKE is the manager. This guy is full of lies. He violated the code by telling me he only accepts cash. Per California code, VEH 22658 (o) (1) It is the intent of the Legislature in the adoption of subdivision (k) to assist vehicle owners or their agents by, among other things, allowing payment by credit cards for towing and storage services, thereby expediting the recovery of towed vehicles and concurrently promoting the safety and welfare of the public. (5) Be permitted to pay by cash, insurer's check, or a valid bank credit card. Credit charges for towing and storage services shall comply with Section 1748.1 of the Civil Code. Law enforcement agencies may include the costs of providing for payment by credit when agreeing with a towing or storage provider on rates. He violated the code again without giving a warning especially since I was only there for 30 mins. Under California Code, VEH 22658 (2) The vehicle has been issued a notice of parking violation, and 96 hours have elapsed since the issuance of that notice. Although they are on the sign they have to be called by the property manager to be removed but when I called the property manager he didn't ask to remove my car. It states owner of property must be present of the tow or have a signed authorization to tow the vehicle which I doubt he has one in 30 mins. He had a police log/badge number on the paper. When I called SJPD they didn't know who made that. Per California code, VEH (l) (1) (A) A towing company shall not remove or commence the removal of a vehicle from private property without first obtaining the written authorization from the property owner or lessee, including an association of a common interest development, or an employee or agent thereof, who shall be present at the time of removal and verify the alleged violation, except that presence and verification is not required if the person authorizing the tow is the property owner, or the owner's agent who is not a tow operator, of a residential rental property of 15 or fewer units that does not have an onsite owner, owner's agent or employee, and the tenant has verified the violation, requested the tow from that tenant's assigned parking space, and provided a signed request or email, or has called and provides a signed request or email within 24 hours, to the property owner or owner's agent, which the owner or agent shall provide to the towing company within 48 hours of authorizing the tow. The signed request or email shall contain the name and address of the tenant, and the date and time the tenant requested the tow. A towing company shall obtain, within 48 hours of receiving the written authorization to tow, a copy of a tenant request required pursuant to this subparagraph. For the purpose of this subparagraph, a person providing the written authorization who is required to be present on the private property at the time of the tow does not have to be physically present at the specified location of where the vehicle to be removed is located on the private property. They illegally stole my car and money. I parked my car at 11:30am on 1/25/25 and was conducting business at a plaza they towed my car at 12pm 1/25/25. I called the police and they told me JF towing took it. I called them and they said to come pick it up. I went to the site and they said I had to make an appointment now. I got upset and they said I need $530 cash to take it out. I went to go get cash and went back to pick up my car. The guy then said how do I want to pay. He could've taken card the whole time but decided to waste my time. I have statements from my bank that I bought stuff at the plaza. They did not care and said the plaza didn't want my business. They also said the manager of the parking lot was the one who told them to tow the cars. After I paid and got my car back he tried to scare me saying the plaza has cameras. I went home and called the property manager he said he never told him to tow my car and that he had to chalk the wheels to see how long they were there and he told me to make a complaint. I called the tow company and I let them know I was going to file a police report and talk to crime prevention on Monday. The guy then said let me talk to the guy and find out what happened and called me back to tell me to pick up my money that he took after stealing my car. I called the police and let them know the whole situation and they said they couldn't do anything but the tow company put for police log/badge# 1063 and the police officer said they don't have anyone with that number. Would not recommend this towing company, they proceeded to illegally tow a vehicle and would not take into consideration that we in fact were PAYING customers of the plaza they decided to tow from. Additionally, the person who we called refused to give us his managers name he only gave us the name "Mike" & that was enough according to the person to get into contact with. The person also proceeded to lie about getting a phone call of the manager of the plaza, when we called the manager of said plaza states that he didn't call them & that they had to chalk the tires to show how long the vehicle had been at the location. The worker also mentioned that they don't chalk tires and only follow the rules of the person calling even though the manager of the plaza said that must be done. According to the non emergency line of 911 the police badge number that he stated in the report is not one in their system which again shows he lied. i have tried to settle with Juan Ramirez in regards to my vehicle being towed and not being able to get car out on day 1 due to an outage they were having and i was told to come back tomorrow. when day 2 came day 1 was not given back and i was told it would cost me 650.00 wow how is that i have asked for the break down for bill and no cooperation. day 3 i needed some property he says I am NOT the owner and i said yes i am i have the title bill of sale and my name is on it. I'm not sure who I got today as a driver as I made a call thru AAA but he was rude, couldn't find me at first despite giving an exact address. Argued with me when I stated my mechanic said not to start the car again. Like actually argued with me about it. Had to give him directions to mechanic, and he spent the entire drive looking for something in truck and on his electronic phones /pad etc the entire drive and was weaving in road while on his phones. When my battery died and it wouldn't respond to jumping, I called my insurance to get Road Side Assistance in my car port. They assigned JF Towing to come and rescue me. I was told that they would be at my place in approximately 50 minutes, and approximately 50 minutes later, I got a call saying that my tower was outside. Francisco got my SUV loaded up onto his truck in a very efficient manner, and then asked where I wanted it towed to. When it comes to car stuff, I am seriously deficient in knowledge. When my insurance had asked me the same question, I said I had no idea, so they found a Pep Boys nearby. When I told Francisco the Pep Boys, he gently let me know that that wasn't a good place to go. From what my car sounded like, he thought it was possible that it might not just be the battery, but the starter. He highly recommended LT Auto Repair (http://www.yelp.com/biz/lt-auto-repairs-san-jose) instead, said that that was where he took his own car when needed and I felt that he might be a little more experienced with this sort of thing than I. The ride over to LT Auto was not uncomfortable in the slightest. Francisco was pleasant and friendly and nice to talk to. When we arrived at our destination, it was clear that he was well known with the guys at LT Auto. He got my SUV unloaded and spoke with Loc about what was going on with my car (which of course started right away when they tried to turn it on). I wound up getting a number of things done with my car since I was there, and when I went back to LT Auto the next day to get a part installed, there was Francisco, unloading another towed car. He remembered me, and even asked if it was my battery or my starter, and seemed genuinely pleased for me that it was only my battery. "Much cheaper!" he said. Francisco was friendly and helpful. Found out that these guys do nothing all day but prey on cars left on highway. 3 mile drive tow and when we got there, 1 hour after the tow happened, they want $300. $210 for a 3 mile tow and $90 /1 day charge for what was parked for 1 hour. Fucking. Ridiculous. After the perverted mexican licked and counted his money, he had the guts to kick us out and rush us out on the heavy rainy day so that he could "get ready for lunch break." These guys are preying on people and force them into a corner. Pay up whatever price they want or you don't get your car back. Wonderful! Francisco and JF Towing composed the only silver lining of my car troubles last week. On Thursday a couple weeks ago, my car's battery died, and I had to wait for a friend to come by to give my car a jump. Luckily, that happened in a parking lot, so I didn't have to push it around. The next day, however, I noticed that my car was very weak when I left work. I was hoping beyond hope that the car would be able to get me home, where I could call someone to fix it, but no such luck. The car gave out in the middle of the street, where I was lucky enough to just get the car out of traffic's way. It was dark and raining by then. I called someone else to come help give my car battery another jump. When he finally got there and gave the car a couple of jumps, nothing happened! The battery was still as dead as ever. We tried calling a couple towing companies, but no such luck. I finally had my fill with randomly calling around and called JF Towing after a quick search on Yelp. I was afraid no one was working on Friday night after 7:00 pm, but yay, someone picked up! The dispatch person let us know that someone would be there in about 10 minutes, and there he was! Boy, when you are stuck in the dark pouring rain with a car that doesn't even have electricity to turn on any lights or lock the doors, the sight of a bright, white glowing tow truck is a welcome sight. Francisco was super nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. He told us about what he thought the problem might be, but advised us to get it fixed quick. He took us back to our house and put the car in a little parallel parking spot, getting out to help push the car in place. Don't use them. I called them last night when our truck broke down. Make an appointment for a 9am tow to the shop. I received s call at 7:35 am saying they would be there in an hour. So I have someone leave to meet them. I receive another call at 8:06 am asking who is meeting them and that persons number so I give them the info. I get a call a minute later saying that they didn't answer. I inform dispatch that they are probably driving to meet them there then. Again at 8:11 am I get yet another call saying they have been there and they need a credit card number. I informed dispatch that our appointment was 9am, I'm trying to accommodate them being an hour early and if they need to leave then leave I will use another company. Another save from JF Towing! Juan set me up with an appointment for this morning when I called yesterday and was very professional and asked all the right questions. Let me just say from start to finish, we received AWESOME customer service. They were prompt, careful and friendly! I was able to pay immediately with a credit card, and was given a receipt right away. He even showed me where there were very important parts missing that were supposed to be holding the rear sway bar together. Which shows that he didn't just slap on the chains to hold down the vehicle, but was cognizant of what he was doing and the condition of the vehicle. HE took his time to load the rig correctly ( We use it a a training tool, so it was parked nose forward in a corner slot against a curb.) After it was loaded safely, he asked if I was going to meet him at dealership, and when the answer was 'no', he asked if there was anything I'd like for him to relay to them when he dropped it off! I understand that people have differing opinions on great or even decent service, but I tend to be very picky (especially when it comes to my cars!) I have used many tow companies in various jobs and personal endeavors, and JF Towing is tops in my book. Their prices are fair and reasonable (having seen other places charge an arm, a leg and first born child,) they are prompt, and if for any reason there is a delay THEY LET YOU KNOW and don't give excuses. Got in a minor accident today. As I was waiting for my insurance company's tow truck referral, this guy John pulls up in his tow truck. I figured he was sent by the insurance co. NOPE. He tells me, "your car airbags are all deployed, it's too expensive to fix... im telling you your car is totaled." This is from a minor front end accident to a fully modified BMW M3. I was in shock. He then says..." I can tow it to my yard for FREE, and your insurance will take care of the total" I'm like wait what!!? I said "NO... I was told by my insurance co that they would tow to BMW dealership." He said " I can tow there but it will cost you" That's when I asked... wait... are you even sent from my insurance co? He said no, "he stopped by randomly." WTH!!!??? Okay, so... if I was clueless about cars/accidents, I could have let some random tow guy take my car and convince me it's totaled and that insurance will take care of everything... This is unprofessional and giving misleading information given to people who are usually vulnerable at time of need and uncertainty. NOT COOL JOHN. NOT COOL. I'm sure your towing services are great, but I could have had my car disappeared and chopped up somewhere before my insurance co would even bother dealing with me. When I called my insurance co. after sending John away, they weren't surprised that another co wanted to "tow to their yard". I was supposed to pick my car up through AAA service. Called needing all my information again. Then proceeded to be aggressive in tone and kept asking if it was lowered. I informed him it was at most 1/2 inch and that it had no effect on going onto the flat bed (AWD vehicle must be on flat bed) and that I had no issues the previous day when it was towed to my house. He kept repeating his question on if it was lowered and when I repeated that it was towed with no scraping or needing for alterations less than 24 hours previous he hung up on me. They never showed to check the vehicle. It is higher than a stock height BMW or mercedes so there should be no issue. read more

Guy towed my minivan with my handicap scooter on its carrier on the back. I told him not to but he insisted they do that all the time and it's fine. Sure enough...the carrier ended up bent (probably in a pothole). Also, the driver took my AAA information and was supposed to bill AAA. When I tried to get my van out of the collision place it was towed to, I had to pay for the tow because the driver had them pay him. Now I'm going through a long procedure to get AAA to reimburse me. read more
