We've been coming here over a year. Fried chicken and fried tilapia are always excellent. Lamb gyro always tasty - but get an extra sauce as sometimes it's a bit light for my taste. I tried one of their Fat sandwiches but the hamburger patty was small - like regular McDonald hamburger patty small - which was not enough on a sub roll. Always generous portion of tasty french fries. Corn nuggets are delish.

Best chicken in town hands down . Always fresh and the service is on point never give u any bad mouthing

It's Halal, it's tasty and really convenient. What more would you need. The chicken is tasty, and has a unique flavor that still tastes good the next day. The pizza is a great deal and is pretty good. The sandwiches, burgers are all good. We really enjoy eating here.

But considering how consistently excellent those two items have been after ordering them dozens of times has compelled me to write this review. I always get the 15-piece fried chicken wings and lamb gyro platters for myself and my son. The lamb gyro platter is excellent. You can smell the juicy lamb, it tastes flavorful, and the rice and white sauce are a perfect accompaniment to the meat. The fried chicken wings are delicious. They have a great thin breading that is just salty enough, and they stay crispy even after a hour-long drive home. Their menu is expansive with a mind-boggling array of other items, but (quite frankly) gyros and fried chicken are two of my favorite things in the world... And since they're so good, I honestly have no interest in ordering anything else. I can see the variety of pizzas on the counter to the left when I pick up my phoned-in orders (which are always ready when I arrive within 15 minutes), and they LOOK good... But I admit that I am a pizza snob, and haven't seen anyone buying pizza in all the times I have been there (which tells me it is not "all the rave" about this always-busy place).

I recently tried New York Fried Chicken in Woodbridge, New Jersey, and this place definitely…read moredeserves some love! First off, all of their food is halal, which is a huge plus for anyone looking for halal options without sacrificing flavor. The fried chicken is seriously delicious. It has that perfect crispy coating on the outside while staying moist and tender on the inside. And the flavor is on point--you don't need to drown it in sauce just to make it taste good. This chicken can stand on its own but adding a little hot sauce to it takes it to a whole another level of flavor!!!! And let's talk about the chicken wings! I'll admit, they may look a little small when they arrive, but don't let their size fool you. These wings are packed with flavor and are absolutely delicious. Crispy, seasoned well, and definitely worth ordering. I also loved their plates, where you can choose between rice or French fries and then top it with your choice of chicken or spicy chicken. Everything comes together really well, and the portions make for a satisfying meal that can easily feed one very hungry person or two people. Not only do they serve the best chicken they also have gyros, burgers, sandwiches and a few other delicious options to choose from. Overall, New York Fried Chicken is a great spot if you're craving crispy, flavorful fried chicken, wings, gyros, or a hearty plate. The halal menu is an added bonus, and the food definitely brings the flavor. Sometimes the little places are the ones that surprise you--and this one did!

I saw the unassuming NY Fried Chicken and walked in. It's halal and the menu is essentially fried chicken, chicken over rice, and burgers. I went with the three piece chicken only and was impressed. First thing one notices is the great service and the respect. Not an ounce of bad attitude here. This was the standard years ago, but stands out today and deserves attention for how rare it is to experience these days. I ordered just the fried chicken: breast, thigh and drumstick. I asked for crispy and spicy and he said they only have regular. I ate it after about thirty minutes and it was still very crispy, audibly crispy. I don't know if they double fry it, but it seems so. It's crispy outside and juicy inside, even the breast was not dried up. The only quibble was the batter is not seasoned in conformity with your expectations. It's different and still good. The hot sauce they give you is also not what you would want, but your favorite sauce would put this chicken over the top. New York Fried Chicken is fairly priced. The three piece will run you seven bucks and reasonable in these inflationary times. It's a clean restaurant and mainly takeout. A table runs across the front of the restaurant. New York Fried Chicken is great and I would happily return. 3.9 stars!

I bumped into this spot on a whim cuz the wife was in the mood for yams after scrolling and seeing…read morea few soul food posts. So I decided to venture here since it was closest in the area at the time. The inside was cozy and quaint, I took my food to go but had to wait a bit even though I ordered ahead, but dude DID say it would take 25-30 min for my order. Polite young man I should add. I don't mind the wait cause I could hear the fryer heavy at work in the back, and I've learned not to rush the process. I will say for it to be a soul food spot, I would've expected a bit more of variety besides fish and wings. I also hate that they were out of a lot of stuff, from whiting to collard greens, and while I'm waiting I overheard dude tell another customer they were out of Mac & cheese. Soooo.. fingers crossed on how this meal goes.. Sure enough... They messed up the order... I ordered double mac and unfortunately, since they're out of it, there's nothing that can be done ... Not to mention, they forgot to give me my shrimp so I had to turn around for that .. hopefully the food is good, again fingers crossed.. I'll update shortly when I get back to the crib Ok, let's get to the food, cause that's the main reason we're here... Yams - 10.. These were clearly the star of the meal!! they were cooked down to perfection, with a beautiful sweet glaze, and I have zero complaints at all!! Wings - 8.. I got the Thai chili wings, which were good and fried well, and nice size wings, I just expected a little bit of spice. But again no complaints. I'd order them again. I had one of My Son's honey barbecue wings, and those were pretty good too. Mac - best of MID! The Mac wasn't bad. The problem is, there was no successful marriage between the macaroni noodles and the cheese itself. There were several times where I would have a fork full of cheese and two noodles, which was a pretty unpleasant bite. Yes I love cheesy mac & cheese for sure, but I like it to be GELLED together in Harmony This seemed like they took chunks of cheese and mixed it into the boiled macaroni and baked it. Again, it didn't taste bad, the ingredients just didn't merge. Shrimp - 9. I'm glad I turned around to get these shrimp that they initially forgot. But shrimp were very nice sized, plump, seasoned very well and crisp but not over fried. Great job here, no complaints at all. I actually am looking forward to having their shrimp again next time I come. Overall, I enjoyed the food. And unfortunately, Yelp doesn't give half stars. But I would be remiss to give them a three, being that these were just human errors and that's OK in my opinion. As I said, the young man was very polite that helped me with my order, and again the food was very good. So yes, I hated that my order wasn't accurate, but they did their best to rectify it and served good food. That said, I'll definitely come back and suggest this spot to others.

After trying to decide between a handful of places, I decided on Monai's mostly because I saw they have a parking lot and I just simply wasn't in the mood to be searching around for street parking that day. When I arrived, I asked for a menu and after looking it over, I decided on the sweet chili wings with mac & cheese and green beans. I was told the wait would be 20-25 minutes. It did take a little bit longer than that. It was probably more like 30-35 minutes. I sat at one of the empty tables while I waited. They had a good playlist of r&b music playing which made the wait a little more favorable. Once my food was ready, I took my food to go. My favorite part of my meal was the chicken wings. They were cooked and seasoned well. The sweet chili sauce was the icing on the cake. The sides were just okay to me. The mac & cheese could use a little more of something...maybe a little touch of salt or seasoning. The green beans were nothing special and tasted like they came from a can. The sides weren't terrible or inedible, but could use a little more of something. With that being said, it was good enough that I'd return. I would like try some of their other entrees.

Normally Portuguese food is the place to go... When we pulled up I was excited to go in because it looked like a nice place... We were greeted and escorted to our table. We were a party of six. It was hot inside and we immediately asked if they could turn up the AC. The staff was nice but very short staffed. There was 2 guys running the whole restaurant but one seems to be doing a lot more than the other one... He seemed to be waiting on most of the tables. I actually felt bad for him because he was sweating and working so hard.... It wasn't his fault, but the restaurant was just understaffed First the bread came out and it was just ok. Our appetizers came out and 2 people in my party ordered shrimp... The shrimp were never cleaned and my sisters had to actually clean shrimp. Otherwise there was poop inside of it... Disgusting. I ordered mozzarella sticks and they were ok. Dinner arrived. I personally ordered a filet mignon steak with mashed potatoes... My steak came out with a mushroom gravy, which was not bad, but the potatoes were cold and unseasoned and had no flavor. They were really not good at all. I never not eat my little tiny blob of mashed potatoes and I had leftovers... My sister's dinner came again with more poop filled shrimp... And also ordered fish. That was not a flounder. It was some other weird thing... My brother-in-law had a steak that was fatty and tough. Simply a bad steak... This place is not cheap... Our bill for six people was $300 but that is with no alcohol no coffee or dessert... I noticed the table behind us also sent back two dishes when I asked they complained that their dishes were so tough. They needed asharp knife to cut through their meat. Also we ran out of water in our glasses and could not get the attention of the one guy running the show to give us water while we eat... They should've put a picture of water on the table. They did have good potato's chips and very good sangria. I will not be returning to this restaurant. It needs improvement

They prioritized in store orders over the mobile pickup orders which kind of makes sense but it's building my dissatisfaction. It takes an extra 45 minutes before I get to the front of the line and am able to speak to someone. First person heard my order and went back to work without saying anything. Another worker came by, I believe it was the manager, and said "oh I had that order." I didn't want to ruin their day by making it a big deal. But i only had 2 items, some nuggets and fries, and I waited an hour. The bbq chicken and pork rib combo is another great dish. The Pork cubes dish has plenty of chorizo with loin chunks and sauteed veggies. Everything came with a brocolli, cauliflower and carrot medly that was cooked perfectly. I hate overcooked veg, and these were just right.
