Awful!! Been a customer for years, bought many jewelry pieces in the past. I had a ring designed with a solitaire diamond I provided, and two diamonds I bought from them, which was then appraised at a combined total of around $11,000. I came in recently to discuss selling the ring back, as I have never worn it, and was provided with an offer of $2,100. When I asked about the discrepancy of the value, after showing them the original paperwork with THEIR appraisal value, they informed me that was only for insurance purposes. Sounds like they're not only scamming the customers, but the insurance companies as well. I'll be holding on to that ring- seeing as they would probably turn around and sell it for what it is actually worth. read more

More like a butcher shop instead of a jewelry shop. Don't recommend getting any of your jewelry serviced here. Came in to sauter my ring to my band and they sautered it upside down and erased my engraving (wedding date) what a mistake! They realized the bad job done and redid it, only to shave off half of my engagement band and now it goes from thicker to thin and the sauter has ridges on it instead of being flush with the rings and smooth. Long story short, I got a refund and my once flawless ring is now perfectly imperfect thanks to them. Go any other place but here. Perhaps Claire's might have more experience with jewelry than them. Wish I never stepped foot in there because I have their mistakeS on my finger for the rest of my life :/ read more

This is the best jewelry store in Spokane. In fact, you would expect to see a top of the line jewelry store like this in New York. They recently resized my new wedding diamond ring set. The diamonds on that ring were wrapped around both bands. I needed to go almost 3 sizes down (original size 8.5 down to 5.75), which is extremely hard to do. I was told by multiple jewelers that it's impossible to make this ring round due to the diamonds around the shank of the rings. For it to be perfectly round, you would have to buy this ring in the size you need. I am so glad I found Jewelry Design Center. At time of drop off, Jewelry Design Center also said that my ring would be oval. To my surprise, upon pick up, I was shocked to see that my ring was perfectly ROUND. Their craftsmanship is so impressive! They went above and beyond what I expected. I can now comfortably wear my ring everyday for the rest of my life. Their work also increased the value of the ring because it is now a common size ring. I can now feel at ease knowing that I can pass it down to my kids when I'm ready and it will be easier to re-size the ring in the future. They give you a year warranty on their work. I felt very safe leaving my ring there. They have 7 professional smiths. You can see them working on jewelry in the back of the store on camera. It is all transparent and you can feel safe leaving your jewelry there. The staff is also top of the line. They are professional and caring. I felt they listened to me and went out of their way to help me. Their prices are very good. In fact, the price was better than what I was quoted by other places. I feel this is my personal jewelry store and I will NEVER go anywhere else. I highly recommend Jewelry Design Center. We are very fortunate to have a place like this in Spokane. Max is wonderful to work with, and they undoubtedly have beautiful pieces, however their customer service has gone downhill. In the past 8 months I have been in twice to have my ring cleaned and have been "pretty-womaned" both times. Lots of "Did you buy it here? Where is your paperwork?" when that has never been an issue before because they can easily look up my name on the account. Also, they have screwed up my husband's ring so many times that we are on ring attempt number 5 (we got married 8 months ago). We have been waiting for over a week to have this one engraved to match his first ring that we were married with, and called to see when it would be ready. The woman that answered said it would probably be ready next week--Monday, maybe Wednesday and that she had no information on it because there were "no notes, sorry". We just wanted to know what was taking so long because we know they can engrave it and have it ready VERY quickly. Last time they messed up the engraving, they fixed it on a new ring in less than two hours. We will shop elsewhere for future and anniversary purchases! read more

We have been coming to JDC for nearly 18 years. They do excellent repairs of even antique jewelry and are meticulous in their quality and everything they do. We had a ring custom made here in 2005 and recently upgraded the diamond. Their selection of loose diamonds is decent and staff will work with you to find just the right one. Anita helped us and was very professional, yet fun and accommodating. They insured that I would receive it in a few days by mail, which sounds scary, but was handled very well. She then checked daily to see that it arrived and called me to say it was waiting for me at the Post Office. Later I got a card in the mail thanking me. That's real customer service. Do not go to big jewelry stores that don't make you feel welcome, come to JDC where they certainly treat you as one of the family. read more

At that time I picked up her 3 stone silver tanzanite ring. The repairs were to be completed on the 24th . When I went in on the 24th to pick up my wife's ring that had switched it. They attempted to give me a silver 5 stone tanzanite ring. When I asked for the right ring I was called a liar . They claim to have a time stamped photo of the ring . The photos is of the 3 stone tanzanite ring . They are refusing to find my wife ring . The first ring I bought her almost 20 years ago .
