Great free park with a paved 1.5ish mile walking trail with water views. Clean bathrooms, lots of picnic tables (some with grills), a playground, and tennis courts.

A nice place to bring your family for walking or jogging or a nice evening bike ride to beat the sweltering heat. Shady trees cover you from the sun and walk path bench seats await tired hot butts.

We were looking for a place to go for a walk, sit by the lake and eat our lunch outside, and Jeton Park was a great place for all of those activities. There's plenty of parking, a nice little beach, picnic tables and walking paths right near the water. There's also a playground for the kids.

We got takeout nearby and were looking for a place to eat outside that wasn't too crowded. We stopped by here and it was the perfect place. We found picnic tables close to the entrance. They were in the woods so it was shaded. They were also all separated and on their own, away from the trails, so there was no risk of being near other people. We didn't have a chance to explore the park any more than the picnic area, but it seems like it would be a nice place. It's right on the water too. If you're looking for a good place to social distance, this park is worth checking out.

Jetton is a County park rather than one operated by the city. As such, it is quite large, full featured and in excellent condition (Which is not to say that the other parks are not also in excellent condition. I'll shut up now.). The park is a large paved road that does a loop along this peninsula that juts out to Lake Norman. From much of the park, you can see the water through the trees and you can approach the water in many spots. Many of the walking trails are completely paved and there are several dedicated handicapped parking spaces. Some of the picnic tables and gazebos are also accessible on these paved paths. Restrooms available and the playground is quite large. (I didn't get too close lest I get labeled "the creepy guy taking pictures of children.") Wonderful park! [Review 12643 overall, 2435 of 2019.]

HIDDEN GEM!!! Since I am fairly new to the area, I wanted to go to a place where I could see the actual sunset and I came across this place on Google. This place is BEAUTIFUL!!! There is sand with a lake in this park (totally did not know this). There were people literally there with beach chairs looking across the water. We walked pass another section of the lake and seen some more people just enjoying the ambiance of this park! Since I really wasn't prepared to walk the full park (I was wearing flip flops) we walked a little halfway through along the lake. There is a small "rest stop" area in this park with real bathrooms and an office. There also looks to be a boat dock across the way (from what I can remember) that's really cool. The people we walked pass were friendly and the park was very clean. The best part is that this park is super close to where I live making it convenient to come here and workout or relax and watch the sunset! Overall, a great place to come to with family and friends! I would highly recommend! FYI - there is plenty of parking here and stores in the area once you leave out.

Out and about on a crisp winter day soaking up sun shine and mostly enjoying life because it's going to cold-and-wet this weekend :-( Tree-covered 104-acre park on Lake Norman with a small beach where swimming is prohibited (other water sport is encouraged just off shore?!) Also has tennis courts, a medium-sized playground, multi-purpose trail, assorted picnic areas, a gazebo, and another gazebo. The main compound has three large buildings, the Waterfront Hall, the park offices (which also house the public rest rooms), and a sharp looking smaller structure that should serve hot dogs and soda year round. Entry level mountain bike trail north of Jetton Road is rumored to be a mile of easy climbs and mostly smooth terrain; add a couple bumps and tight turns so the novice can learn how to navigate nature. yea for flat mountains!

Beautiful park with many outdoor areas including tennis courts, hiking trails, and a beach with access to the water. Simply breathtaking view of the houses along Lake Norman. Visited here in June (weekday) and it was nothing short of amazing. My dog was able to swim in the water for hours. There were a few other dogs here and everyone was very nice, even with my dog swimming off-leash. Would highly recommend for similar-minded people. I heard the weekends tend to get busy, but that's to be expected. Lake Norman gem for those who don't live on the water!

We have annual picnics here with our family friends and I have always treasured those memories growing up! They have great amenities here and it's such a perfect way to spend a summer day. The trails are well shaded but if you want some sun you can catch some rays on the beach. Bathrooms are usually very clean and well serviced. They have tennis courts, playgrounds and bbq grills. There's also an area perfect to put up some hammocks!

Love at First Sight. Seriously. It is just a park but there is so much to do. And maybe it is too early to give 5 stars because I didn't get to experience everything that is offered here but the potential alone excites me. We went to do something affordable as a family that wouldn't break the bank and at $3 for a vehicle this was definitely affordable and very family friendly. The lake itself is nice and accessible on many areas. The park wasn't empty but it didn't feel crowded to say the least. There are plenty of park picnic areas and quite a few benches along the lake side. The play area for the kids is great and a nice break from the lake. I have been wanting to take new family pictures in an outdoor setting and I know I have found my place. We will definitely be back again and I look forward to bringing family and friends here when they visit from out of town.

Jetton Park is a nice local venue. Go every not a then to watch Grand Kids in their tennis lessons. The older, the Granddaughter is very good but the younger Grandson is coming on nicely, Good family friendly atmosphere and a fun place to be.

Such a beautiful place to go. Had our family pictures done there in Oct. Seriously Gorgeous!!!

What a great place to spend some time outside. Plenty of places to have a picnic, nice walking trails , playground for the kids and amazing water views all packed into one place. They are doing some construction to make the area even better. Can't wait until it is completed.

There is no swimming in the lake at this park. You should be able to get in the water on the float and float around. It's very nice though.

It has a quick "trail" that is shaded and always happily welcomed at that point of my run. I am also a huge fan of kids being outside, playing with their parents or other kids. I know that is ridiculously easy of me to say since I don't have any little gremlins of my own running around; however, after spending over a decade in youth development programming, I love to see kids get messy and smelly. I am always excited to see families enjoying this park in one way or another: lunch under the pavilion, playing on the playground or a game of baseball. The facilities, to me, look to be cared for at all times with green grass, safe equipment and clean bathrooms... I don't really see how you can go wrong here. There is a super tiny parking lot and some okay street parking. I "believe" you are able to park at the legion parking lot across the street. The weather is perfect right now for some park time. Keep the pups at home or keep them on their leash as there isn't a dog area here.

The very very bleak playground more on bailey road is seriously lame-o. The larger playground outback past the tennis courts was likely great 10 years ago but has been very badly neglected. On the up side it is "under renovations". On the downside the town chose July - sept to do the renovations. Seriously, who plans these things. Kids are off for the summer and your closing for the summer. Another bright side is if and when this place does get a facelift it looks like it'll be pretty neat AND best of all big trees line the area so it's nicely shaded. Another note - weird note- the trees that surround the playground has these trees that drop pussy droplets and then clunk - these hard lime colored and sized things start dropping. I'be only lived here a couple years and have no ideas what they are. Weird choice for landscaping by a playground. After some googling I think they are eastern black walnut trees I'll come back this fall and check the renos out and offer an update.

So, always check your Yelp messages! You never know what could be there. Getting back to the field, it's a great facility. I know most people like to complain, but they're really just searching for things to complain about without even realizing they're doing it. I'm not one of those people. I'd rather appreciate things. This park is well maintained, just as is every other park in Cornelius. It's not really a park to go for a walk, but it's an excellent sports/splash park facility. Highly recommended.
