Clean paths and wonderful scenery. I think I like this place.

A cute little park in the back of Harrisburg, Pharr Mill has a lot to like. A well maintained playground, volleyball courts, restroom facilities and pond with a pier all add to the personality of this place. There is plenty of parking and the trails are great as well! I'm not sure how long this park has been open, so I don't know if they are new or recently renovated, but the walking paths are immaculate. I know concrete isn't as natural as a worn dirt path but sometimes it's nice to walk among the trees and not need a change of shoes afterwards. The path is all one big loop around the outside of the park with a crossroads in the middle if you don't feel like walking the whole thing. The back edge of the path is probably my favorite. The trees frame everything so well and you can hear the creek just off to the side. Its a nice little snapshot of a relaxing afternoon. Great place to take a stroll and clear your head.

I'm sure the park is amazing, but there are zero people wearing masks and it's quite crowded. We didn't get out of the car due to this.

This was a nice warm weekend, the park had more people there than I expected but the experience…read morethere was still enjoyable. Plenty of dog walkers and mothers with their children was there walking and playing. We had a wonderful visit as we walked the pathway around the park.

We really enjoyed our visit to the renovated park. The additional parking lot is really helpful and…read moremade it easy to access the playground. There are Indoor, family and handicap-friendly bathrooms right off the parking lot. We started with the awesome playground. I think it's great for kids between 2- to 7-years old. Older kids may not find it as exciting. There is a special Toddler area with two play Barnes, a music-making area and two toddler swings. I would love if they added extra toddler swings. Yall know how hard it is to get a toddler to take turns, so the line was a little long. This playground also has 4 big kid swings and a handicap-friendly swing. If you follow the trail past the tennis courts, there is another play area with a super-cool climbing theme. It has an actual climbing wall and a climbing structure with a curvy slide. My 3 year old was able to navigate it with a little coaching. We wrapped up the visit with a walk around the trail. It is mostly paved with some gravel areas. We had no problem pushing the kids' wagon around. They added several nice benches throughout the park. They also added location signs for safety. The picturesque bridges would be great for photos. Extra note, you can play Frisbee golf throughout the park, just follow the trail. They have two picnic shelters, one large and one small. There is also a lot of clear, open space. They did a great job with the renovation and we can't wait to go back.

I've been taking my kids to Clarks Creek since it opened. While this park does have some pluses…read morethere are minuses. The bathrooms are almost always nasty, they either don't have toilet paper or don't have paper towels to dry your hands. If it's the summer time and you're taking your kids for the splash pad, bring water shoes. The floors are disgusting. The trashes get overflown and the flies are everywhere. I don't know who thought it was a great idea to have metal slides with no shade but if it's a peak summer day, you're not gonna want your kids going down those slides, especially if they've got shorts on, their butts will get fried. Also, not sure whose idea it was to have the wooden rocking toy thing for kids because those did not last long. The handles broke after a year. When it comes to usable things for kids to play on at this park, the options are extremely limited. I would've loved to see something that kids could actually climb on and slide from that wasn't meant to be poor installation art. The main thing our kids do when we're there is swing on the only two swings climb up in the big web net thing and roll down the turf hill. The only well-kept areas in this park are the Pickleball courts and the dog park. There's definitely ample parking. There's a community garden that you can look at. If you come at the right time when the figs are ripe, you can pick them right off the tree so that's nice.

This summer was sponsored by Clarks Creek. I love playing pickleball here. Reserving the courts is…read morestill a little outdated, but patrons are friendly when there is confusion about bookings. There's a water park, dog area, and a short (?) walking trail around (I need to explore this more). They're good in my book!
