This a beautiful park located in Concord. Its not that big and yet not small. Its goods for kids and individual of all ages. They have tennis court, soccer field, swings even for infants. They have shaded space if y'all plan for some potluck gatherings. The houses nearby the soccer field are beautiful. Overall this is a great location to take a stroll with the loved ones or for a tennis match. When i found this park near by from where i lived, i was happy that i moved in this location. The best thing is its never crowded so parking is always available here.

I've been here a couple times with my daughter and she likes it alot. So much green space around for her to run around freely. I bring a soccer ball so we can play with that and I've brought some chalk so she can have fun with that. There were 2 shelters that I spotted that can be reserved for private parties. There's a trail circling the park that people use for biking or jogging. The playground itself was cool too. Can't go wrong with swings and slides.

This is a great park for walks/jogs. One loop around the entire park is a mile which makes it easy for tracking distance during laps. There is a tennis court, a couple of small play areas for kiddies, covered picnic area and a ball field. The trail alternates between concrete/gravel (and wood where the bridges are) and there are a few small hills which makes it great for beginners/intermediates. The park is very well-kept and the restrooms are usually fairly decent no matter what time I have gone! The park is a decent size, but the parking lot is pretty small so parking tends to be cramped.

If you follow the trail past the tennis courts, there is another play area with a super-cool climbing theme.

I am incredibly impressed with Village Park ... and the city of Kannapolis as a whole! My husband…read moreand I attended the opening show of their free summer concert series, and we were in awe of how well-maintained this park is, and how organized our entire experience was. We arrived around 5:30 PM to claim our seats on the lawn, and thankfully we were able to find a parking spot right near the pedestrian bridge across the street. The city posted a very detailed map of parking options on their Instagram page ... and the amazing thing is, not only is all of that parking free, but there is a free shuttle that will take folks back and forth to their spots if they are unable to walk that far (or even if they just don't want to!) The openers started at 7 PM, and then the main act started around 8:15 PM. This gave the crowd plenty of time to get situated in their spots, grab some snacks, hit the restrooms, or even ride the carousel! This was a family-friendly outdoor concert, and they did a great job of having food/drink/activities for both kids and adults to enjoy. A glass of wine or a can of beer was just $5 each ... which felt like a steal since I'm used to spending more than double that for the same pour at other concert venues. The show itself was awesome ... we saw The Fray and they were everything we wanted them to be and more. The sound and lighting were both great. The layout of the park allowed many folks to stay in their folding chairs for the majority of the show, and still be able to see what was going on on-stage. Five stars all around for Village Park and the city of Kannapolis ... more cities should take note of what a great job they are doing here to engage their community!

If they remember nothing else they will remember our cool walk thru the park! I tried my best to talk them into " let's ride on the train" but they was too adult, I was ready! Kinda finding itself sandwiched between office buildings, I can see this place being a great "get away from work" lunch escape. One of the cooler features about the green, at least to me was their many mile markers that show arrows pointing to (insert city), with the approximate number of miles to get there and in what direction you can go. These little posts are littered all over the park and are impossible to ignore. There are several statues like the three large fish that kids seemed to love and the book statues as well. It's just a really nice place to find yourself on a warm and dry day. Natural shade from all of the trees, there's a large amount of landscaping around for sitting, or you can just have a seat on the well manicured grass. Not the largest park, but it is a little squirt of outdoor happiness between business as usual. There are no restrooms here, but there are trash cans about for that time when you'd like to have a snack in the shade and need to toss your food wrappers. I had no expectations for this park, and truly didn't know it existed, but because it hit the spot AND was such a nice break from all of the downtown-ness, it's easily 5 stars for me. Would I plan an entire trip to charlotte around it? Nah...it's not that kind of park. But while you're there, you will enjoy it no doubt!

Nice parks with seating space. Books and reading is the theme of this park. Great for pictures or…read morequiet time.
