Everything here is delicious and the service is always fast and friendly. We took my picky-eater parents here when they visited from Boston a couple years ago and my dad still talks about how this was the best Pad Thai he has ever had. After working a double shift and attending a four-hour rehearsal, I was dying to order something to eat. I even got myself dessert, which I hid away in the delivery bag until i finished my entree. Their Pad Kee Mow Noodle was tasty and a good portion size. However, I reached into the bag, ready to eat my well-earned (I thought so, at least) dessert, and saw a super small portion of their Mango Sticky Rice (pictured below). I have only ever ordered Jetta Thai to go and it has always been like unwrapping little treasure boxes when we get our order home. With each dish we open, a new lemongrass aroma teases through the air, or a perfectly spiced panang curry scent. We always order the fresh spring rolls, because--duh--they are the food of the gods with peanut sauce that I literally hide from my husband (a necessary evil, sorry, not sorry--he'll eat all of it if he finds out how good it is! Lol) The Tom yum and the Tom Kai soups feel so nourishing and taste like a family recipe passed down and improved upon with each generation. Like I used to tell my kids when I dropped them off at preschool, Mommy always comes back. I will definitely be coming back to Jetta Thai. No fresh spring roll left behind! :-) read more

Was in El Segundo tonight and felt like trying the local Thai so I picked Jetta based on the reviews on Yelp. Parking can be difficultI here; I ended up having to park across the street at the Chevron. I ordered the Pad Kee Mow to go. The order taker asked me for spice level 1-5. Not sure what the standards are (but I appreciate that they offer it as five levels) so I asked for 4 (she said "ooh, spicy!"). My orderr was ready promptly. When I got to my hotel room, I was somewhat disappointed by the size of the dish but my doctor would approve and it was tasty as all get out. Level 4 was properly spicy -- just right by my standards -- and it had loots of chicken and vegetables. Next time I'll order in and see if the portions arE larger. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. No idea how their food tastes because I never got the food. They use Grubhub for delivery. Delivery was overdue. I called them and they told me "delivery guy has it. Call Grubhub if there's a problem. We just cook the food" and her response was so immediate I am convinced it was just a pat response she gives when people call to ask about late deliveries. There is no way she could have looked up our order that quickly. And Grubhub is complicit. The driver either stole our food, or tossed it, and their process has NO security checks to keep this from happening. Even worse, they will not admit this could possibly occur, and I had to fight with them to get a full refund as a "one time only courtesy." Beyond insulting. read more

This is an authentic Thai place. For most people, the medium spice level on the spicy dishes will be good. The Pad Kee Mao aka drunken noodles is awesome at a medium heat level as it is already a spicy dish. If you want it spicy, understand you are ordering based on Thai heat levels. The menu is uncomplicated. What they offer they do pretty well. The place is exponentially better than the other Thai place in El Segundo as well. However, as someone who loves Thai food I think the portions are a bit small and a bit bland at times. I've eaten here about 4 times so far and I still think my go to in the area is Ayara in West Chester. Very good Thai food in the heart of El Segundo. The inside is clean and the menu is a step above most Thai places. On this maiden voyage, we tried a few items and ate family style. We ordered the chicken Satay to start then yellow curry and pad see you. The chicken Satay was to die for. The chicken was so tender- my BF said it was the best he's ever had. The yellow curry was a little watery but tasted great.the pad see you was also awesome. Although it was empty when we walked in at 5:15, it filled up nicely while we were there. Im just a delivery driver who decided to pick up an order from this place. The woman working was so incredibly rude i had to call her and ask why. I wanted to give her a chance to explain herself before writing any review. You never know when someone just has something personal going on. She was even worse on the phone. She hung up on me and i called back. She them proceeded to tell me that I'm not a customer just a third party delivery driver. She obviously has no understanding of her own eco system. So it was late-ish on a Sunday night and my wife and I were trolling Yelp for a different restaurant to go to then our usual ones. Lo and behold Jetta Thai popped up and we got the craving so we headed over. Jetta Thai is a relatively small place so it was nice to be able to get a booth. We ordered the Fried Tofu as an appetizer - my wife really liked it - very soft on the inside and crispy on the outside and I thought it was just ok. For entrees, I got the Pad Thai Noodle with shrimp and tofu - the dish was really well made and for certain I would have it again. TIP: My wife is a vegetarian and all of the entrée dishes listed had meat on them. They will make them with tofu - you just need to ask. She had the Yellow Curry with tofu and really liked it. The service was pretty decent and the wait staff were nice. At the time of this review they didn't seem to have their liquor license yet so the beverage list was limited. As a whole, Jetta is a good add to the Thai restaurant list in the South Bay - and it's at the top of our list to re-visit compared to the other Thai places we've tried. Wow. What a find! I hope this place sticks around. My son and I went looking for Thai food and took a chance on Jetta Thai. Had a little concern as we walked up since it was pretty empty. Both my son and I expected a typical Thai place that was nothing special, but boy were we wrong. First the decor is warm and welcome and devoid of the typical cheesy Thai restaurant kitsch. Next we slow began to get whiffs of Thai food smells which heightened our anticipation. We ordered the fired tofu and the curry roti to start. Both did not disappoint and we eagerly devoted them. Moving on to main courses, we tried the pad Thai and the spicy basil beef. I was floored by the explosion of flavor and just the right amount of spice that was hot without overwhelming the rest of the flavors. The pad Thai had delicate noodles and none of the typical stick mess that you usually get at your run of the mill joint. Then there was dessert....chocolate butter roti. Just the right amount of sweet and fat to Finnish the meal. Can wait to go back and try more of the authentic Thai cuisine! read more

My family visited the restaurant this weekend during lunch time and the food was just awful! There was nothing authentic about Jetta Thai. We were better off going to Panda Express (Chinese) or another local Thai restaurant in the area. Here began our concerns: Our food arrived after 5 minutes of ordering. The items were not hot dishes you'd receive after fresh meals were made. We were convinced our food was previously refrigerated and reheated with a microwave. The tell tell sign was the rubbery and tough Garlic Pepper tofu, which was hard to chew through, much like two day old microwaved tofu. The rice, perhaps purposeful, as we could not tell at that point, had really hard chunks of something that could not be described. It made the rice difficult to eat. Again, this is what happens to old rice. The sweet and sour crispy chicken was anything but crispy and it sorely lacked sauce. Again, it tasted and looked like one day old chicken that was refrigerated and then microwaved. The sauce had evaporated. How disappointed we were with portion sizes and the audacity of the restaurant to serve this lackluster food. The plates were equivalent to a 10 year old's dollhouse playset. Very difficult to eat with the large forks. Will my family return? Absolutely not. Not even if this was the last meal on earth. read more

Accidentally found this place while we were waiting for italian place next door. It was long wait at italian place, so we decided to try this place instead since we went to thailand last year. We were worried at first, because this place was empty on saturday night and they looked more americanized. Our server was very nice and suggest us to try pagna beef curry which was the best curry ever. My boyfriend ordered patthai and rotee bread curry. Both were excellent especially patthai. Sadly mango was not in the season, so we had the grilled banana with creamy sauce instead. It was so good, my new favorite sweet. They don't have khow soy yet, but our waitress said they might have it soon. We can't wait to try it next time, we will be back. read more
