Although, to be fair, all the instructors I've worked with are pretty good too. The only reason I've taken 1 star off is because of how difficult it is to find space to book a class, even if you're doing it days in advance. The classes fill up really quickly. It's not too hard to get off the waitlists (if you're #1 or #2 in line-- I've even gotten off a waitlist and into the class as the #3 in line for an early morning Sunday class before) but I still recommend you plan your classes at least 3-5 days in advance.

I woke up with a migraine at 4:45 AM on the day of my 4:30 PM class and canceled as soon as I realized I wasn't going to be well enough to attend. Despite explaining that this was an unexpected illness, I was charged a $15 late cancellation fee because I was 15 minutes outside their 12-hour cancellation window. When I reached out, I wasn't asking them to ignore their policy altogether. I was simply asking them to make a reasonable one-time exception for an unforeseen medical situation. Instead, I was told that nothing could be done and was even warned that if I disputed the charge with my credit card company, I could be subject to an additional surcharge. I understand that businesses need cancellation policies, but policies like this don't put their members first. Life is unpredictable, and people get sick or experience emergencies that simply can't be anticipated 12 hours in advance. A company that truly values its members should be willing to exercise reasonable discretion when someone faces a legitimate, unexpected circumstance. As a result of this experience, I've decided to cancel my membership. If you're considering joining this studio, be sure you're comfortable with a policy that prioritizes strict enforcement over compassion and flexibility. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling that customer loyalty and member well-being were secondary to the policy itself.

Every time I book a class I look forward to it all week! Pilates is helping my physical and mental health, which to me is such a plus. Alma Pilates is a beautiful location and extremely clean. Everyone I've met in the classes are encouraging and welcome newcomers. I would recommend Alma Pilates to anyone who is looking to start or continue pilates.

Two weeks ago I found a Groupon deal for Zumba classes in Doral and I decided to try it out. Boy, did I get lucky! I am happy to say I found a Zumba instructor I am 100% happy with! Zumba with Sandra is by far the best and the most fun Zumba class I've ever attended! If you're worried about looking like a fool or not being able to keep up, worry no more! Sandra isn't the type to call you out. She just wants you to have fun, enjoy dancing and get in shape. The music is great, the dance routines are super fun and make you sweat ridiculously, but are so easy to grasp. The instructor is so sweet and just smiles, laughs and motivates throughout the whole class. Even the people who attend the classes are fun and nice. I couldn't be happier with this Zumba class and instructor. Go ahead, give it a try. First class is free. I promise you will not regret it! Some days are more movement, some days are breath work and some days are go with the flow. You take what you need. There is some goodies you can purchase from flow wear to crystals and jewelry, etc. They have two studio rooms, one hot one not. There is a little loungey area in the back with some lockers and books for you to hang out and catch your breath. I love it here. Thank you Diana far always having a gracious welcoming. When our world was turned upside down during COVID, the studio was quick to adapt and pivoted to online virtual classes. I was able to continue my practice from home under the supervision of Deanndria and more recently, Shelby. Shelby has created a fun, online environment that presents new challenges each session. She is able to offer suggestions and corrections throughout the class. I know when I return to the studio, I will not be starting all over!
