Also, we came on a Friday evening, and although it was crowded, the staff seemed to handle this smoothly. I ordered a pizza and it was truly incredible (Veg). My husband ordered pasta w/ marinara, but we were not so impressed. We'll probably return and try other dishes, though. We chose to eat at the bar where service was okay. I say okay because it was clear the bartender wanted us to leave. When we were done w/ our meals, she slid our check toward us, not even asking if we wanted dessert, not thanking us, not anything. She seemed more attentive to the 2 men at the bar. So, anyway. We'll sit elsewhere next time. Not a deal-breaker, just surprising.

There's a display showing four different estimated wait times. There are people placing orders at a kiosk. It wasn't clear that it was even possible to order food at the bar (but it was). The music was so loud that it was hard to even talk to the bar tender and place an order. In terms of the beer, I was fairly satisfied. The beer list included a number of "somewhat out there" fruit beers along side a smaller number of more traditional styles. That's fine. I had an IPA, and it was generally good. Kind of in the midwestern style with some caramel malt. In terms of the food, I really just ordered a salad. It was good. It was nice to have the option to order a substantial salad and feel like it was a meal. In terms of service, it seemed like everything behind the bar was hectic. There were several different people, but it wasn't clear who was responsible for taking my order or closing my tab. It was just hard to get anyone's attention. All told, this was fine. And even fun. Despite the noise, the live music was good. My only real complaint is that it seemed difficult to navigate the ordering process.

The outside is very clean and the staff were very respectful. Parking spaces are limited, especially on a weekend, but nothing to complain about. The pizza smelled and looked delicious when it came to us. I just ordered a veggie pizza as I wasn't trying to be too filled with bread before I had the main course. The pizza has the normal brown you see on top from baking . Oh my gosh ! A browned topping! If you want the veggies just thrown on top and not baked with the pizza, I'm sure that's doable but don't expect your toppings not to be browned with the pizza. I don't see too many standard veggie pizzas with broccoli so that was a nice treat. The sauce is ON POINT! It's so delicious and different from what you get most places; it's very savory with a hint of spice. They also have sesame seeds on the crust. Although a very nice touch, they could hold back a little on how much they add. The price point is reasonable as this isn't a huge papa John's chain, so I wouldn't expect a $5 hot and ready or a $10 large pizza special from Papa Johns. All in all a very good visit and can't wait to try some of the other menu items.
