Last Sunday we ordered from jet's Pizza a large thin crust cheese pizza with extra cheese. Using a coupon that we got in the mail for $9.99. We were told that it would be a six dollar delivery charge, even though this particular jets is literally across the parking lot from where we live. Since this is a senior building, nobody truly wanted to just get out and walk across the parking lot with their walkers and canes so we opted to pay the six dollars. I asked if the six dollars was the tip or if the money goes to the delivery person that came over here and was told yes After an hour, a cheese pizza, without extra cheese, was delivered it was not thin crust as requested, but in fact, a thick crust pizza. I called and spoke with the manager who then asked if we wanted the correct Pizza sent out. We said yes, of course, and we were told that there would be no charge since the order was incorrect. After another hour of watching the game on TV most people left and a pizza was delivered. In fact, it was the correct order at this time but two hours had passed. That was Sunday, Tuesday, today, my bank informed me that jet's Pizza charged me $39.99. That seemed incredibly obsessive for a thin crust cheese pizza especially using a 999 coupon. I easily walked across the parking lot with a copy of my coupon and asked the manager what happened and because I had my service dog with me, he could not explain in detail, but his explanation was $39 was certainly the typical charge for a large cheese pizza . Personally, I've lived here for quite some time and have never paid that much from any restaurant for pizza. We've had get-togethers here in our community room in the past where we've purchased five pizzas and it has cost us $60 from the same restaurant and here I was looking at one thin cheese pizza Just a penny short of $40. The manager, a tall scruffy, dressed man in a T-shirt would not budge on the price. Our building has senior citizens and military veterans who have all received a variety of different discounts, but never have we been up charged by $25. This manager kept saying that he was not little Caesars as if he was comparing his pizza and prices. I do know that if we were going to be treated this way And we knew it, little Caesars, of course is a preference as well as Dominos, Pizza Hut, big daddy's, oh heck.- even making it ourselves. There are enough grandmothers and grandfathers in this building that are terrific cooks. We certainly didn't need jets it was just convenient. But to steal money from us when the majority of us are on Social Security and Social Security disability is incredibly rude and it seems like fraud when you won't take your own coupon. Went for pickup the other day in Aurora, and the process was very efficient and the staff was friendly. Got two pizzas, the all meaty one and the bbq chicken. Detroit style with both, as that's what we'd heard they excelled at. (So, thicker crust, cooked square, crispy edges and softer in the middle.) Both pizzas were excellent! Two hungry people and we had plenty of leftovers for another meal. I'm no Detroit-style aficionado, but this was among the better crusts in that variety I've had, and I do like that style of crust. Meaty sauce was traditional and the cheese and meats were tasty. Would do again! The bbq chicken sauce was bbq and pizza sauce, and while initially skeptical, I thought it was great and the combo of ingredients made a more interesting pie. (For those of you who value "interesting" in your pizza!) Overall, great addition to my pizza rotation, although the square shape won't make it super efficient to spin. I'd definitely suggest trying this place out. They had cauliflower and gluten free options (having both kind of amazed me for a pretty no frills takeout/delivery spot!) and they also had NY style and thin if Detroit isn't your style. read more

Have had delivery a few times, but have not been to this location. Pizza is solid, when you're in the mood for think crust/Detroit style. Generally I prefer NY style pizza; however, its nearly impossible to come by good thin NY style Za in Colorado. So Jet's Pizza is tasty. Nice buttery crust that is both crunchy in the right spots and doughy in the right spots. I like the sauce to cheese ratio, honestly there's a lot of both of them. Their wings are fine (2 out of 5) but definitely not great...have ordered them a few times and don't think I will continue to order them. Next up I'll need to try their take on NY style pizza, but sort of have low expectations. In the end their Detroit Style is very good and if you're feeling gluttonous you'll love it too ;) and take this review with a grain of salt since I'm not from Detroit nor have I tried many Detroit style pizzas. read more

Wife and I were in Aurora for family reasons for about a month. We planned on trying out a different local pizzeria each week. I hear the locals groaning so I best acknowledge that I know that Jet's isn't unique to the area, but there aren't any Jet's where we're from. We did Jet's our first week and liked it so much that we just went back to Jet's the other two weeks. Besides it being generally delicious, Jet's is one of the few pizzerias that can accommodate both of our food allergies. I'm allergic to Canola Oil and my wife can't have gluten. They cook with corn oil and their Detroit style gluten free crust was fantastic. It had some heft and was crunchy just like their regular Detroit style crust! My wife is used to her gluten free pizzas being second rate as most places offer gluten free pizzas almost begrudgingly and it shows. I ordered a Jet's 10, BBQ Chicken, and a Pepperoni, Sausage, and Mushroom with Jalapenos... all Detroit style. The ingredients all tasted quality and fresh. The crust was deliciously crunchy. My favorite was the BBQ Chicken and my least favorite was the Jet's 10. I liked the Jet's 10 too, but it was just too many toppings and I think a less complicated pizza brings out the flavor in this crust better. The only criticism I'd have is that the pizza sauce was on the bland side in 2 of our 3 visits. I've worked in pizza so I know that's sometimes because the sauce was just mixed or wasn't mixed well so I don't know if that's how the sauce normally tastes or not. Man...I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not sure what happened in the cooking process, but the pizza was actually falling apart. I went to grab a slice and half the slice came off. Maybe faulty dough? Undercooked? I even had to cut down the slice more to even pull it off. There was more blobs of marinara than cheese...I could just say, it looks SO GOOD in the photos, but unfortunately,...you won't get close to what the photo portrays. Oh yeah! The style I had was the squared deep dish. Detroit -style, I believe. (Detroit must be disappointed right about now.) I give it 2 stars because the customer service was still on point.
