God bless the young lady at jet blue counter in san juan. You truly made up for all the madness i been through today. Being lied to about return of my bag. Tsa taking my flip flops an putting them through screener. Oh an the one who was going to call an have me put out airport for saying oh my god. You are a true blessing. Stay patient an nice. Never lets others change you... People need kindness at times.

No issues, I've come to realize a lot of people fly with JetBlue, although they may have a lot of delays their accommodations and customer service made up for that. Everyone has bad days and sometimes it's the wrong time and the wrong place. Just remember there is always tomorrow. Thank you to the staff for their patience even when it doesnt pay

The A side terminal although it is big and spacious it lacks food choices that B, C. And D offers. There is only a Fresh @ the gate, a convenience store and a trinket market. The other sides offers a Starbucks, Popeyes, Margaritaville, a Dominoes, and other food options.

Different experience for an airport. At least for me. The terminal is like a full on shopping mall! For designer perfumes, jewelry, alcohol, trinkets, chocolate and Puerto Rican items, they have it. There are plenty of areas to sit and places to eat. The only complaint I have is that I was sitting on an end cap area and an employee dragged a garbage can all the way over next to me to flip it open right next to me and started cleaning the most stinkiest trash can. I did look at him like he was crazy and he spoke back to me in Spanish telling me I could go sit somewhere else. I truly could not fathom why on earth he would have dragged the can that was next to the terminal entrance right next to me. I mean a good 15-20 feet. The majority of employees speak English, and can help guide you if you are lost or looking for something. The bathrooms were clean. The food prices were higher than normal. I did get a chai tea from a coffee shop and it tasted like ammonia. I tossed it. Maybe they cleaned the machine and didn't rinse it well. Again, give yourself some extra time if you like to shop. Enjoy!

The terminal was very clean and had huge open spaces. Very surprised to see open businesses at 2:00AM. We were able to get a bite to eat and a beer. In addition duty free shopping was available at that time of the day. Also a convenience shop with souvenirs, magazines and snacks was open as well. They had plenty of locations to be able to charge all your electronics without having to fight for a charging station. The only drawback would be the hard metal seats you had to sit on at the gate but the food court chairs were actually quite comfortable.

Very odd terminal compared to the one where American is it definitely has less food choices. Two noticeable ones is Margaritaville and Starbucks which would have been nice as I prefer their coffee beans over the ones used on this island. As for the Jet Blue gate it is odd looking just a single doorway. All seating is in the center of the terminal. I was sitting further down adjacent to the Puerto Rican souvenir store the music was blaring so I could not hear my group being called. Please note since you are not in the United States all groups are called out in Spanish first not English. In fact they go on a very long time in Spanish I was looking for assistance to when my group was called. Once they finally did I went with the rest of the cattle to wait. Definitely not the best way to fly but I wanted to get home already. People are nice enough at least there is no pushing or shoving. The person at the gate does not attempt to take your bag as the overhead bins are full. However once you get to entering the plane there is a Jet Blue employee with luggage tags in hand. Thankfully I made the cut off and was spared.

Meh! It's fine as a terminal but if you walk through the other terminals, this one is clearly the undesirable cousin. The chairs are Metal and uncomfortable and there are a good amount of dining options but nothing great. It's an okay terminal n

    Really wide, spacious terminal corridors

Being one of the "TrueBlue" flyers, I've been at a lot of JetBlue Terminals and this one, comprising most of Terminal A, is by far the best. It's bright, spotlessly clean, spacious with exceptionally wide terminal corridors and equipped with what is, for an airport, a rather decent as well as varied food court; Mango's being my favorite for a drink or quick bite to eat. One downside is, but typical with every airport, higher food and drink prices. Another being that though there is a duty free store, you won't be saving very much and on certain items you'll in fact be paying more at duty free than you would elsewhere. As for seating while waiting to board, it is very nicely arranged in that the boarding areas are not all crowded together wherein you often end up mixed with people boarding other planes for other flights.

This small airport is very close to Old San Juan and alongside the cruise port terminal. The terminal building is small but adequate with no food or beverage other than a vending machine. VAL has a 25 lb. luggage limit weight and then you pay $1.50 for every pound over that up to a max weight of 50 lbs. VAL operates Britten Islanders which are high wing 2 engine propeller planes that seat 10 including the pilot. You sit 2 abreast and are assigned your seat by your weight with the lightest people sitting in the back. From this airport it is about a 30 minute flight to Vieques flying about 1500 feet in altitude at about 110 knots. The flight is scenic and almost all over land skirting the coastline except for the last 12 miles being over water between the two islands. My outbound and return flights went smoothly and the staff was courteous and professional. Currently flights are $85 each way. Since the only other way to Vieques is by ferry leaving from Ceiba you have to get to Ceiba and then hope to buy a ticket on the ferry (which is very cheap) and then the ride over is about 45 minutes before you get to Vieques. Obviously flying saves a lot of time and is especially convenient if you are in San Juan. If I were to return to Vieques I wouldn't hesitate to fly again with VAL. P.S. this review is for flying out of Isla Grande (SIG) airport. VAL also flys out of Luis Munoz Marin (SJU) International airport which is the big airport in San Juan. VAL flights from that airport are more expensive but more convenient if you are flying into Puerto Rico and then want to make an immediate connection to Vieques.

You'll find three airlines here: Air Flamenco, Vieques Airlink, and Tax Aéreo. Carlos Jeep Rentals also has a booth here. I'm not sure when, but they put in new chairs that are more comfortable than the ones they used to have. Airport is clean and laid back. Staff is cool. Snack and beverage vending machines are the food options. Although, the airport is near Distrito T-Mobile and Gran Bahía Restaurant. Paid parking (I posted a pic with the rates). You can also take a cab or Uber to and from here. I really like flying to Culebra from here. It's in San Juan which makes it much more convenient than driving to Ceiba for the ferry or airport. That said, flying from here is more expensive. But I find it worth it because of the convenience. When we can fit it in our budget we prefer it. The trip takes about 30 minutes, maybe a bit more. The best part is the view. You get a great view of Old San Juan and Condado upon takeoff and landing. Plus the view of the northeast coast. Awesome.

I've heard the ferry can be very intermittent, and if you're going to fly, why not fly out of San Juan. Flying out of SJU is more pricey. This leaves Isla Grande. Yes, this airport is super small, but this is what makes it cool, unique, and more cost efficient. Yeah, you will step onto a plane, it is going to be a tiny plane where you can basically look over the shoulder of your pilot (I guess if you needed to, you could help him fly by taking the co-pilot's seat. Boarding is trouble-free and takes no time at all. The airport is also fairly close to Old San Juan, and a short cab ride. Overall this is the only real option for getting to Vieques or Culebra.
