There are many options for zip lining in PR, but I am so glad that we chose to go with Rainforest Zipline Park. The ticket buying process was simple and secure. We purchased our tickets 3 days before our outing. We received a text message with directions before our scheduled time. It was very easy to find. Check in was a breeze and directions were very clear in terms of safety. My daughter (14) was very nervous, but the guides really helped to calm her nerves with humor. There is a bit of climbing and walking, so be sure you have the fitness level for climbing steep stairs. The views were amazing and our family had a blast. There was a total of 8 lines, some were "race lines" in which 2 people raced each other. The longest wait was the first tower, but once we got started, it went very smoothly. You have to use your hands while you're on the line, so I don't have pictures from my personal camera. They did have a photographer there to snap some action shots for later purchase.

If you decide to do Zip-lining while in town I say choose this business! The location is about 40 minutes outside San Juan in the mountains but so worth it. There are 8 Zip-lines and the last 4 crank up the intensity with the last 2 being 1 Mile long! You literally soar over El Yunque National Forest with Tall Royal Palms and all types of Rainforest trees and rolling hills below you! Total we paid $130 each and that was all supplies needed. Paperwork was sent via email and we arrived on time and got suited up. We took an uber there and back. Round trip was about $80 ($40 each way). Staff are very helpful as this was my 1st time and even if you have zip lined before, I think you will really enjoy the last 4 especially the last 2!! No lockers on site for items and there is a bathroom and general sink area with paper towels to wipe the sweat off your face due to humidity lo

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Kid-friendly, even for my apprehensive grandson. Clean and well-maintained facility. This is our second visit, and may not be our last, even though we no longer live on the Island.

    We are ready!!!

Great staff. My family had a blast!!! The zipline course was so fun. I would definitely do this again.

Amazing staff and experience. My best friend and I had original plans to zip line with another company, but they unprofessionally canceled on us and we desperately still wanted to zip line. We booked this place and already received stellar service. From emails to texts, they were in contact with us the whole time! It's much appreciated because in this day and age of scammers, answering unknown numbers on the first ring is no longer something to do. Rainforest Zipline Park made sure to be in touch with us. The actual day of, every staff from checking in to getting geared up was amazing. Casual, but you still felt safe with people that clearly knew what they were doing. I'm not afraid of heights, but I know anyone else who is would appreciate the easy-going attitude of the staff here. Each line was so much fun! We did 8 courses and the hardest part is climbing up to the top, so be prepared to climb ladders and be a little winded! They also provide free water which is nice! A personal note: I had an interaction with a staff member whose name escapes me, but upon being asked where I'm from, I mentioned I was visiting from NYC but my family is from the island. The staff member then told me "welcome home, friend" and it really touched me so deeply. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, every single staff member I encountered was stellar.

My friends one request in PR was zip lining, this place has 8 zip lines as well as some additional options for extra money. We really enjoyed the park, the staff was very nice and encouraging. They explained everything and ensured our safety throughout our time there. They work you up to the longer zip lines which is nice for anyone who has never gone before. By the end all the first timers were smiling and talking about zip lining again in the future. As with any zip lining park you will have to climb some hills, stairs and steep step ladders. Definitely recommend this as an activity to get out of San Juan or if your visiting Luquillo beach as it is about 15 mins away by car.

Ziplined on a perfect semi rainy day in the beautiful hilltop heading toward El Yunque. I was in need of some cool adventure and fun and this sure brought it. The staff was so friendly and down to earth. Despite the weather conditions they still managed to brighten our day, kudos to them. I believe we did 6 lines all together and they all brought there own joy and nice views. Afterwards they bring cold water bottles too. If your into nature and adventure this will check your boxes.

This was pretty enjoyable. I've become an avid fan of zip lining and want to do it as an activity during my travels. I was in PR last week and chose to zip line here. Getting there was easy, and once we arrived we signed in, then were shortly dressed up in harnesses and hard hats that snapped under the chin. The first 6 lines were pretty underwhelming because they were over the parking lot of the place. No scenery. The last 2 were great! High above everything with no end in sight. Just trees and breeze! The staff was super friendly and helpful...and fearless! A very good excursion.

    Views from the parking lot.

Great views and friendly operators. Fun bonding experience for family and friends. Friendly and informative staff. Felt safe throughout the visit.

Visitor access is managed largely because of parking limitations Vibes: The feelings from the temperature and energy changes. One night we were partying the streets of Santurce, next we we're in this chill and calm quiet area. There are paved scenic stops, short walking trails, and engaging areas such as waterfalls and river areas. You really can make it as adventurous as you want. OVERALL: 5 Stars. What's there to hate about this place? Maybe it can get super crowded but aside from that, it's a beautiful Puerto Rico experience. Whether you want waterfalls, hikes, scenic drives, or just to disconnect for a few hours, this place delivers. After that, you're not too far away from Luquillo Beach! Review #1,050 Posted on 5.1.26…read more We came to hike the Mt Britton trail at El Yunque on Friday the 24th of April. This was one of the better experiences of our trip, it was awesome up there. The parking is a bit tricky, honestly if I had to do it over again, I probably would've just parked a tad sooner then walked up more, but if you do that, it's a lot more time & walking/energy spent. The drive to those areas to park/hike is super scenic. You've got tons of green, and sounds of birds all around you, we rolled our windows down and soaked it all in. We parked pretty close to where the trail to hike Mt Britton begins, and it took us about 40 minutes to get to the castle, when you make it to the castle for sure go inside and walk the staircase to the top/roof. The views are awesome up there and you get some good photo opps. I would 100% make sure to do this again next time we visit.

This ended up being the highlight of our entire trip! Let's start with the booking process. From the very beginning, the communication and customer service were excellent. The morning of the tour, Lori sent a friendly and detailed text message with instructions, what to bring, where to meet, and reassurance for the day. It immediately made us feel comfortable and prepared. When we arrived at the meeting location, Lori introduced herself and had us follow her a short distance to the zipline location. Once there, we met our second guide, Ray. We were provided helmets, gloves, and harnesses, and the team made everything feel very organized and safe. I was debating whether to take my sling bag because I wanted my phone for pictures, and they kindly offered me a small blue drawstring bag to carry it in. They even held my bag for me during the tour, which I really appreciated. Before starting, Ray demonstrated how to zipline properly and went over all safety precautions and instructions thoroughly. As we made our way through the beautiful landscape, Lori and Ray would stop along the trail to teach us about different plants, trees, and species found in the rainforest. That educational aspect made the experience even more special and unique. Both Lori and Ray were incredibly friendly, outgoing, and full of positive energy. Their personalities honestly made the experience even better. I was nervous going into this because I am not someone who likes heights, but they made me feel comfortable and confident the entire time. I truly cannot say enough positive things about this tour -- from the booking process, to the safety, to the customer service, to the amazing energy Lori and Ray brought. If you are visiting Puerto Rico, I highly recommend Yunque Ziplining. It was unforgettable!

WITHOUT A PADDLE…read more Kayaking during the day proving too easy?  How about kayaking at night...through a mangrove forest. As my wife and I planned our second trip to Puerto Rico, we agreed that a bio bay kayak tour should be on the list.  Only 5 biobays exist in the world, 3 of which are in PR (in Vieques, La Parguera, and here on the far northeast corner of the island).  There's a few kayaking tour companies in the area, each offering a similar bioluminescent excursion. Hang on, biolu-what?  I'll skip the TED talk--all you need to know is that a certain kind of marine plankton makes the water in extra salty lagoons glow blue.  It's the same science that gives jellyfish, fireflies, and deep-sea anglerfish their special ability to produce light. When we arrived around 8pm, tour guides gave our group of 15-20 life vests and provided instructions, like what to do if your ass falls out of the kayak.  Our goal was Laguna Grande (literally "big lagoon"), roughly 1 mile from our starting point on the shores of Fajardo. So......getting to Laguna Grande is not easy.  Along with a partner, you'll paddle your way through a narrow channel surrounded on all sides by thick mangroves, including an overhead canopy.  This is tricky during daylight hours, but at night the difficulty ramps up.  Keep in mind that visibility in these thick mangrove patches drops to near-zero at times. You might (probably will) have to avoid other kayak groups and (possibly) motorboats as you make your way to the lagoon, all while trying not to crash into the person in front of you, fall too far behind, or be knocked unconscious/impaled by low branches.  The outbound trip was not super chill, thankfully coming back was less stressful. Having an experienced partner is CRUCIAL. Bio bay tours are very much like whale watching, in that your visit is based almost entirely on luck.  A lot needs to go right in order to see magic stuff in the water, like the moon being in its 'new' phase (full moon casts too bright of a reflection) and no recent rainfall (rain comes down as fresh water, decreasing the lagoon's salinity). Under ideal circumstances, the microorganisms appear as florescent blue swirls when you move your hand/paddle through the water.  What we saw were closer to electrical 'sparks', still cool but not vibrant.  Capturing what little bio-presence we saw on camera would've been impossible, so we smartly kept our phones in the car. Oddly enough, mosquitos weren't a problem. * TL;DR * For me, this was more about the journey than the destination. If I'd hung all of my hopes on seeing tons of bioluminescent activity, I would've been disappointed.  I was focused more on trying not to capsize while also listening to the symphony of 'coqui' (the local island tree frog). It can be romantic with a spouse/partner, assuming they're not yelling at you the whole time. Wear comfy clothes (swim trunks aren't a bad idea) and be aware that parts of your outfit will be crunchy the next day, due to the lagoon water being twice as salty as the ocean. Mangroves play a critical role in the tropical ecosystem, but they stink! Would definitely recommend this to anyone over the age of 18; it's an awesome late-night adventure and one of the most unique things you can do while in Puerto Rico.

Pretty much everything is outside besides the 15-20 min show they provide inside. To explore the whole thing only takes you about maybe an hour, an hour and a half if you want to stop and read every single little thing. But for the price I think it was good. It's more educational than anything. They have a gift shop, a show (history of El Yunque Rainforest), a cafe, an area to learn more interactive for older kids to read and play, and they have 2 walking paths, you can choose 1 or both. The paths were pretty easy to walk nice scenery, mostly plants and trees we didn't see any exotic birds or anything. And the interactive educational aspect we pretty much bypassed. We opted out of the cafe as well, but they did have a few artisans in the middle up the stairs showcasing their crafts and I did buy a cute keychain that was laser printed. It's just a video playing on a screen but very informative I did enjoy it. The gift shop is a nice size pretty standard pricing as well, I did get a few things. I also did see a lot of Puerto Rico history books that I was extremely interested in but the prices were ridiculously high for the books I'm sure I can get them cheaper. **This is a fairly long review - but highly informative!**…read more I booked an El Yunque hike with Pandora a few months ago based on some reviews I had read - and my wife and I are glad that we did! Our driver (and owner of the company) was Eddie. I got a couple of follow up texts and emails from Eddie confirming our pick-up time and a text 20 mins before we were supposed to get picked up...gotta love that follow up! We started out for the hike about 10 mins earlier than expected. We were supplied with water, soda and fruit for the trip. Along the way, we were given a lot of information - current and historical - on the areas we were driving through and the island in general. Once we got there, we watched a video on the rainforest that really tied together the information we had received on the ride in. We then trekked it up the mountain in the van until we hit the trailhead. The hike from the La Mina trail was amazing! So many photo-ops, plus there's a waterfall (wear shoes good for hiking and water of you're going to swim). The trail was mostly down-hill and paved....but it was closed at the waterfall, so the walk back was uphill and a little rough. Don't let that deter you ....We wouldn't have traded the experience for anything! After the hike and more photos on the way down the mountain (which lasted about 90 mins total), Eddie took us over to a local eatery near the airport...the food was great and cheap (even if we got the world's worst waitress! LOL). After lunch, we headed back to the hotel. Eddie asked us what we were getting into the rest of the day, so we told him we were headed to Old San Juan for the afternoon. Eddie offered to give us a ride down there (which we gladly accepted). He allowed us time to go up to our room and change before we left. He picked it's up in his personal car and drive us over...still giving us great information about the island, and also life - advice we will surely cherish. He left us near the docks - and I must say, it was a little sad ending our time with him. It was like being with an Uncle you haven't seen in a while. He really takes care of people, and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does. He puts a lot of hard-work into perfecting his craft as an excursionist and it really shows. I know it has already been said in another review, but we honestly do feel like we have made a friend in Puerto Rico, and will definitely be calling WHEN we come back! Thank you very much for your time today, Eddie...We thoroughly enjoyed it - you made our vacation extremely memorable and special!

My wife and I researched various tours and decided that Eddie was the one because he was willing to do a private tour with just us two to the top of the rainforest and Bacardi Factory. He went out of his way to make sure we had a blast! Our morning started with him picking us up promptly at 8:00AM at our hotel. He had fresh fruits, cold water, great service, and very good conversations. The night before he made sure we had all we needed before booking with him so we were all set as soon as we jumped in the van. He told us all about El Yunque and what we would see, while taking his time driving the crazy streets of Puerto Rico. Once parked, he made sure we stretched and took a few pics of us before starting the hike. We went through the trails taking all the time we needed since it was very muddy and wet. We went all the way to the highest rock and spent a few minutes admiring the view; then we went back down to see Mt Britton. He took a bunch of great pictures of us as we went through the trails and shared them on dropbox when we were done. After El Yunque he took us to Bebo's BBQ in San Juan which was phenomenal (he said it would be)! He then took us to the Bacardi factory and patiently waited for us to take the tour, all this and it was his birthday! We had a full day with him. He showed us interesting areas of San Juan on the way back to the hotel and we couldn't be happier! Eddie is a trusted, funny, respecting, fun, and caring tour guide! So much so that I feel we must contact him next time just to say hi and have a drink even if we do not want to go on any tours. One of the best things about Eddie is that he is VERY flexible with his schedule and he will take you anywhere (that is reasonable of course). I feel he is an excellent guide and companion which is great because Puerto Rico has gotten pretty dangerous over the years and it is best to be with someone who knows the area and the history, even if you just want to be cabbed around the island. We recommend Eddie and Pandora Tours with our eyes closed! We loved our tour!

We arrived on time and we were warmly greeted by the captain and 2 crew. After a basic safety briefing we charted out towards Culebra in overcast weather. Instead of Culebra we settled on the uninhabited beach of Caya Luis Pena before Culebra with crystal clear waters in about 20 minutes. The waters were translucent clear turquoise and beach sand was pristine. Water temp was around 79-80F. Weather was overcast and comfortably cool. They laid out a simple light sandwich buffet for lunch with beers and tropical cocktails. Snorkeling, swimming and relaxing for a few hours, we spotted small schools of fish and a very cool bachelor Stingray circling looking for scraps. Crew was incredibly friendly and helpful and everyone enjoyed the short beach visit. The return trip was much smoother and after jumping back on the bus we were able to stop by a bbq joint for coconuts and fried stuffed empanadas.
