This is the 2nd time I've tried to work with Jet-Black. When I first moved into my house 4 years ago I received one of their mailers talking about the services they offer. I immediately called and experienced the lack of actual humans. You are asked to speak slowly and leave your address so they can provide a free estate. I thought I would hear something back but just like when you call, they send you the estimate in the mail. I immediately called to schedule and never heard anything. Luckily, one day another sealing company driving through my neighborhood stopped by and did the work onsite and did a fantastic job.
Fast forward to this time. I again received the mailer in the mail about a month and a half ago. Again, immediately called and left all my information. A few days later I received the quote in the mail. I again called to schedule leaving all my information and speaking slowly as asked. After several weeks, never heard anything so I called and selected an option to speak with someone. Spoke with a nice young lady who immediately scheduled me for today. I even received a call yesterday afternoon confirming my appointment. When I asked when they would be arriving, I was told I wasn't the first job so it would be in the afternoon. Sounded great. That was the last of the good experience!
This morning I was surprised at 7:53am by Jet-Black. Two individuals showed up and informed me that since it had rained last night and because my driveway had 2 small puddles they would need to cancel. Please note that when the other company had completed my driveway a few years back, they not only used a blower to clean off the driveway but also a large torch to dry up and moisture. When I asked about them coming back in the afternoon since that's when my appointment had been scheduled and I knew my driveway would be completely dry, they only offered to come back the next day. That was not going to work. Because it was so early, I waited until there office opened and called around 10:30am asking to speak with a manager. A young lady answered the phone so I immediately asked to speak with the owner or manager. I was told they weren't in yet. However, after I started telling her about my horrible situation, she placed me on hold and a gentleman named Brian got on the phone. He immediately apologized and told me that everyone who was scheduled for today would still be completed. He apologized for the information I was provided and the call ended.
At 3:55pm and I receive another call from Brian. This time he tells me that one of their trucks has broken down and they are still planning on completing everyone but they might not arrive until late. 6-7pm. He without asking tells me that it will be fine and that they can install that late and the sun doesn't need to help cure the sealant. I said alright and proceeded to go about my day.
As of this review that I am writing at 7:55pm and almost completely dark, I have not heard from Brian or Jet-Black. I have already called an left a voice mail cancelling my appointment and I refuse to ever attempt to do business with these people. I have already reached out to another company that immediately called back and will be handling my driveway. If I could rate this company less than 1-star I would. Reading several of their reviews it definitely sounds like they are not the same as they use to be. Best of luck if you decide too use Jet-Black. I certainly won't be supporting them.. read more
