*I have never used them for firewood or landscaping* January 20, 2019 - I was just outside shoveling my car out and a Kimiecik truck drove past me, stopped, backed up, and plowed away the snow that had been pushed toward my driveway by the town plows. I bought a couple cords of wood from them... majority of the wood was rotted and flaking apart. The pieces of wood are uneven, small, short, large, fat, thick, and thin. They are damp and dirty. I don't think they were seasoned. Am scared to use it in my stove and cause a huge build up of creosote, and it was too expensive for me to turn it all into wood chips! I am pissed... mostly cause I didn't do my homework. On a positive note, 1/8 of the wood is good (sarcasm) Not a repeat customer! Also, Highly unprofessional. Very nice receptionist, who stated her boss would be dropping off the wood. Upon delivery, "the boss" immediately began asking my wife whether or not he can hunt on my property ********Quick update the wood is infested with Gnats! We recently bought 2 cords of hardwood and 2 Yards of top soil from Kimiecik Landscaping, and we're very pleased with what was delivered. We always buy our wood a season ahead to ensure that its dried enough to burn in our Wood stove, and we also stack it in a well ventilated shed to keep it dry. We further split it from delivery size to keep the pieces manageable for our small stove, with the smaller splits and end pieces used for kindling. Kimiecik advertises seasoned firewood and all I got was a truckload of junk (dirt, rubbish and wood that had tremendous and uneven pieces) that you can't even put in your stove. I had to cut it up all myself before I was even able to use it. It was dumped into a huge pile on our property and left soaking wet. Plus the amount of bark that was under the pieces now has to be cleaned up and put into garbage bags. More time that we don't have. Thanks Kimiecik. Never again. read more
