Well their team came in two waves, wave one cut down the large maple and chipped away all the big stuff. Wave two came and cleaned up the rest and ground the stump. Cleaned up the branches and leaves and blew off driveway. I asked the guy cutting the tree if he would cut me some small pieces for firewood. He was very friendly and left me a small pile. Jennifer was also very friendly and pleasant when I first called the office. The leader of crew two, who took the check for payment, was also very nice. So from quote to cleared yard it was 2 hours. Looks like nothing was ever there. I see someone else wrote a review with a not good experience, feel bad, but my experience was the opposite I guess.

The service I was requesting was an estimate for work on my property, requiring the removal of large, medium, and smaller trees, and also limning up some additional large trees. He was thorough in his discussion and a good listener. I was very impressed with him. The price he quoted was fair, and I did feel confident that he could do the work efficiently, professionally, and within the time allocated to us. I'm not reviewing the actual work because I have had to get three bids for this particular project and have not started to work yet. I will check back in once I complete the service.

What you should know: if you have a fireplace or plan to have one installed, or if you enjoy outdoor fireside evenings around the fire pit, you should contact Dan at the Bearded Cordsman. He will consult with you about what kind of wood would be the most effective for your situation. For example, I have a one year-old wood-burning fireplace insert which can only take wood of certain lengths. Every time DAN delivers to me, he is cognizant of that. I have enjoyed my fires so much this year. In addition to them being heat efficient, they are a pleasure with the beautiful wood that Dan has provided to me. His pricing is fair. His service is impeccable. You want to do business with with him. He is so kind and nice.

When Jim & his crew arrived, it was himself one foreman and two new guys who apparently had just started that day (So he told me). He was irritated when he arrived because his son who was apparently a foreman, was in a golf tournament that day so he was not working on this job. By about 4 PM the only person working was Jim. He worked until it was dark and I was unable to view the job that was done until the next day. I was not satisfied with the job that was delivered. Jim returned to discuss the job with me. He agreed that when he left he was not satisfied with the job that he completed and he would return to complete the job. But at an additional charge. A few months later, in July, I reached out and asked him what the timeline was for the completion. He told me due to a storm, he had a lot of downed trees, but he had been thinking about me, and he assured me that he would return to complete the job. Needless to say he never returned to complete the job and did not respond to my last email indicating that I was disappointed with his lack of responsiveness. Unfortunately, I would never recommend him for any future work.
