Trust isn't a word I have used with many service providers over the years, but Marvin, his crew, and Osorio as a whole deserve all the recognition in the world. From the moment Marvin provided a quote and recommendations for a 13-man crew and a full day of work, I was sold. Compared to other vendors he not only has expert knowledge, but an honest approach and the professional machinery to back it up. We had numerous other companies look at our property and outline various plans of attack, but given the difficulty in accessing the property and the size of the trees and vicinity to our home - none were up to par. It is hard to find a professional crew in the Catskills with the type of equipment Marvin showed up with. Morning of, Marvin and a 13-person crew arrived on time and immediately got to work - it was like an orchestra... We had multiple teams simultaneously craning down 10+ 60-foot trees next to our home, while others were pruning trees from a bucket, and stumps were being ground down. Great job pruning several trees on our property., and removing a tall dead ash tree. The ash was cut into pieces for the fireplace. The guys worked hard. I highly recommend this company. My husband and I hired Osorio's team to take down 11 trees and trim 1. Immediately when they arrived, I could tell this was a true team of professionals they move as if in perfect sync with one another and worked with care, caution, and professionalism. They must be the most talented team in the area. Marvin showed up with a crane, an excavator, stump grinder, two trucks to carry chipped debris, and a truck to haul away logs. What do you say when someone does something you dread- taking down a favorite tree, and you end up slack jawed at the professionalism. They could not do it with the truck as hope d for but did not raise the price. Three teams of tree climbers appeared and worked until 8.30 at night. Mr. Osario removed several trees for my neighbor including one that was next to my fence. His men cut the tree below what was necessary for removal knowing that damage would occur. My fence was damaged in several areas and he nor his men had the decency to take responsibility. I needed to call and ask for it to be addressed only to receive the runaround from Mr. Osario himself. Mr. Osario had promised to come look at the damage and ensured me that he had worked on fences and would be able to make the necessary repairs. On three separate occasions Mr. Osario failed to show up or call. His word means nothing. The man is clearly a liar and IMHO not worth hiring. He was doing me no favors. His employees caused damage to my property, and then after I brought it to his attention, he failed to do the right thing. This is no way to conduct yourself Mr. Osario. I would use 1/2 a star or NO star at all. We had someone from the company come and told us that they can remove 2 tree stumps for us in our backyard. We were given a price for the job--We agreed--and even offered to pay in cash for the job. I am a very patient person. It has been 3 weeks since then--We call once a week to call us-- Completely unprofessional--not even a return phone call. I have called another company to do the job. The crew was professional and highly efficient, working like a synchronized Olympic team -plus beyond pleasant to deal with. Despite all the heavy equipment involved, a large crew, and the tricky position of the pines, we had no damage to our property - the entire area was immaculate. I hired Osorio Tree Service to take down 35 massive trees on my property. They showed up on time provided a detailed estimate and all the proper insurance, including workers comp. Since it was such a large job they brought in 2 large crews with a crane truck and bucket and had really talented climbers to get to the harder to reach trees. They completely cleaned up and the wood, debris and stumps. They left my property looking better than ever. I highly recommend them and will use them again. These folks were totally professional and impressive to watch. After safely taking down a tall dead tree very close to the house plus a few others, they cleaned the area so well you would not know anyone was even there. My experience up to and during the job was very good, however I only gave them three stars because of their lack of follow-up. If you have new work they will call you back immediately. If you have an issue with the work after the job, you will probably never hear from them again. The good: I needed a number of trees taken down in my yard. Two were very large trees hanging dangerously over the house. I received several quotes from tree companies, and Osorio came back with the best quote. Upon arrival, I met the owner, and he pointed out that there were several other trees that really should be taken down. I agreed, but I was already putting out a lot of money for this tree removal (this stuff is really expensive!!), and I just couldn't do the additional cost he was quoting. After some back and forth, he not only came down dramatically on that additional cost, but offered to grind down a number of stumps, cut up a couple of trees that had fallen in the woods, and cut down a bunch of small trees. Felt like an offer I couldn't pass up. Essentially, they try to get as much out of a job as possible since they bring so many people with them, so there is room for negotiation even on the day of the work. They only used guys climbing in the trees, no trucks. They brought about 6 guys, and these guys definitely worked hard. By the end of the day, they had cut down about 14 large trees, a bunch of small trees, had grinded up a bunch of stumps, and had cut the fallen trees to fireplace length logs. A couple of trees were huge - almost two feet in diameter. They even moved them to the edge of the yard. I didn't notice a few issues until a couple of weeks later. When I finally got around to cleaning up the sawdust left behind by the grinding, I noticed that several trees were not completely ground up, with large pieces still sticking out of the ground (they were covered with sawdust). In addition, when I started trying to move the logs, there were a number that were not cut all the way through. For small logs this wasn't that big of a problem, I took an axe to them and was able to split them apart. But like I mentioned I had a couple of really big trees, and when the logs were stuck together they were almost impossible to move. So I called Osorio and told them of the issue. They said the next time they were in the neighborhood they would cut the logs apart and grind down the remainder of the stumps. Two weeks passed and no visit. A guy who came by to take some wood had a chainsaw and helped me cut apart some of the bigger logs. I made more calls to Osorio and now they weren't even calling me back. I took an axe to some of the smaller stumps and was able to get them below ground level. I tried one last time to Osorio and they still have yet to call me back or visit. Overall, it was still a really good deal, even with the hassles. If you are somewhat handy, and can deal with some post-job issues on your own, then these guys are worth using. If you are not, and want a full service job, then I would suggest either inspecting the work yourself before anyone leaves, or consider someone else. read more

What a professional operation. I had 3/4 acre of trees pruned and cut back on November 11, 2016. A team of nine men worked all day. The climbers had all of the required safety equipment on. The ground crew used a pulley system to safely lower all of the just cut limbs and branches. I was given the option to have the wood chipped or left behind for future fire wood. When all of the work was complete, the men cleaned my entire yard of the smallest of debris and even took care of my leaves that had fallen.
