When we first met with Mark it was evident that we were dealing with a highly experienced and knowledgeable arborist. We had to have a few trees taken down before installing a fence on our property. Called Cherry Hill Tree Expert Company and Mark came out and surveyed the property and pointed out all the trees that would pose a hazard to the house and fence taking his time to explain his findings in detail demonstrating his expertise. Mark was incredibly easy to work with. Very responsive - I submitted a form on his website for an estimate and he got back to me the very next morning. He showed up promptly for the estimate, shared a lot about his expertise as a licensed arborist and was able to corroborate exactly how the tree we had to have removed died (pine beetles, ack!). From the time that Cherry Hill Tree Experts came to our property to quote on removing two large black walnut trees to the end of the job, we were impressed with their professionalism. Mark of Cherry Hill was one of three bidders on our job and when he was at our house to look at the trees he was willing to look at other trees on our property and assess their health. We ultimately asked him to quote on removing two other trees. His bid was lower than the other two bidders and we therefore had the two walnuts and an unhealthy catalpa removed. We've used Mark Martini's Cherry Hill Tree Service for tree work and firewood a few times, and as long as we're in NY we'll continue to use him. Mark is fully licensed and insured, and he has over 25 years experience. First, Mark's prices are always fair. More often than not, he's even less expensive than the other guys. We've gotten quotes from other companies and they've been more expensive. We get more for our money with Mark. Next, when Mark does the work, it is done professionally. He is very conscientious about what he is doing. He doesn't just drop a 50' tree into the yard - and we've had other guys quote us more for just making one cut and felling the tree. He'll either get in a bucket truck or climb the tree and lower with block and tackle. He tries to minimize the amount of potential damage removing a tree can do. We've had him get some large trees down around outbuildings and fences without any difficulty or damage. The latest was a large oak that had broken up top and was angled over our fence. The tree was removed and the fence was fully intact. When the work is done, it's almost like they weren't there. All the small items are chipped, larger logs are either taken for firewood sales (I believe he discounts if you do this - we keep our firewood). Everything is raked and swept. Mark always goes the extra mile. When he was out cleaning up after the big snowstorm, he even got a bunch of broken stuff out of the neighbor's trees and yard that he did not need to. He also has a great degree of knowledge about new technology and is constantly updating his offerings with cutting edge arborist tech, like tree lightning suppression (important where we are) and even tree x-ray. We just recently moved from the desert to New York State. We did not have to worry about lawn care or tree work. Mark Martini and his crew at Cherry Hill Tree experts have completed two large-scale projects for me at my home in Mt Hope, New York, and we are about to start another job. I have nothing but praise, respect and admiration for Mark's expertise and professionalism. The first job Mark completed for me was in the Fall of 2013. I keep about 15 acres of my property cultivated and carefully tended. It was once an old dairy farm that over the course of 30 years I have attempted to turn into a park. I hadn't had an arborist in in over 10 years, but the storms, specifically Hurricane Sandy, and aberrant weather over the last decade had taken a serious toll on the trees throughout the property. Sandy brought down, or uprooted over 60 trees - all of which were over 50 feet. It became clear after we cleaned up the damage from the hurricane that I had to address the trees that suffered various forms of damage. After interviewing several companies I knew Mark was the man for the job. He was knowledgeable, focused, direct and laid out a clear plan that was realistically scheduled. He came back to me with an estimate, told me when he could start the job, and when he would be finished. All came to pass as promised The scope of the project was substantial. Upon completing our walk through we agreed that he needed to take down well over 50 trees, some of which were extremely difficult to get to and included numerous massive mature tress. He limbed up & cleaned up over 150 trees, many of the limbs being over 40 feet up into the various trees. As well, he was tasked with pruning and shaping 5 specimen trees, which were focal points on the property. Mark and his crew were there for three full weeks and treated the place as if it were his own. It was not a simple job. When all was said and done he had come through on all his projections. I called Mark again, at the end of summer in 2014, and told him that I'd like to do some more work. I wanted to dig in a bit deeper and virtually take out every tree on 15 plus acres that was deteriorating, suffering from disease, or fugitive in some manner. He was tasked with taking down another 25 plus trees, and limbed up another 50 plus trees. I also wanted him to prune up and shape another 7 seminal specimen trees, of all varieties, that were integral to the aesthetic of the landscape. These were trees that I had planted, shaped and cared for, some for 10 - 20 - 30 years that had become too large for me to tend to myself. Again he gave me an estimate, a start date, and a finish date, and every promise was met. After our first project together I trusted Mark to do the job and he came through yet again. He completed his work and the grounds looked immaculate when his team finished the job. All the specimen trees I entrusted him with looked better than they ever had before. Mark is a pro, and if you love and care for your property and trees the way I care for and tend to mine, then Mark is the man you need to speak to! We used Mark Martini and his staff to remove a 90 ft. white pine tree in our yard. He is amazing and so are his guys. They arrived around 7:15 in the morning and were done before 1:00 pm!!
