I told her it was fine because I lacked any confidence in her ability to reverse the issue since she couldn't handle simple instructions with our cat. She then commented to my original review making false claims stating I hated the cat which is laughably not true, but I would expect nothing less from a business like this. The store was in disarray. She asked me if I wanted to hold the cat while she worked however I had a newborn child to look after and assumed that since we were paying her for grooming services she would be able to idk handle the grooming services she advertises.... I was wrong. All things considered it's our fault for not vetting the people who claim to be professionals I should have known from the moment I walked into that place that this was the likely outcome. I guess anyone with thumbs and a pair of clippers can open a pet grooming business. Now I'll simply wait for her response where she will continue to make up lies and try to cover her a** instead of taking accountability for a poorly done job.

Lisa had no openings available until the following Tuesday which was after we were leaving the area. She put us on her schedule to call if someone canceled. Later the same day she called with an opening for the next day. She took Deja Vu' in and she made us feel comfortable with leaving our dog with her for a couple of hours. She called just shy of two hours and said she was ready to be picked up. Upon seeing Deja Vu' we were very pleased with the outcome. Ears cleaned, haircut was perfect, nails cut and polished pink, and a great bath. She put Pink Bows on her ears, and she also used pink crayon on her tail. She did a superior job for a reasonable price. We were very impressed with her grooming services! Thanks again Lisa!

I've been able to get appointments that were convenient for me, and Sarah is very good about returning calls for appointments left on her answering machine. I would like to write a rebuttal to Karen S's review…read more FACT: We purchased two female golden retriever puppies from Melodie three years ago. My husband and I have had golden retrievers for 25 years, so we're kind of experts. I knew immediately, upon meeting Melodie, that she was the one from whom we wanted to buy our puppies. She met with us for a long time and went over all their documented vet visits, their health records, and their lineage. FACT: Prior to picking out our puppies, she took us around the huge property--it's a lovely farm just outside of Ithaca. She introduced me to her horses, all the dogs, and even the mama pig that had just had a litter! The puppies have the ideal set-up: Melodie has the puppies in a barn with their own compartments, each nested with their own litter, thus they stayed with their siblings (at the time we met them, they were five weeks old, and she had two litters). Their "rooms" led outside to a straw-filled pen where the moms were allowed to interact with the puppies. I loved this setting; because they were used to "going" outside, therefore they were so easy to potty train! They were very happy puppies and never even whimpered once we got them home. They were not at all timid or skittish; they played right away with our older golden Maddie, who was eight at the time. Perhaps Karen S is more accustomed to hyper personalities like Australian Shepherd dogs exhibit and should stick with that breed... FACT: Melodie was very fussy about their diet and showed us what she had been feeding them, which is what the vet recommended. Her dogs were so healthy, in fact, that our vet in Elmira purchased his golden from Melodie too; and he grew up on a farm with goldens all around him. He thought our goldens were the healthiest he's ever seen. FACT: Her grown up dogs, the mamas and the papa Caluha, all wander in and out of Melodie's home. She has a huge yard that is fenced in, along with a large pond in which the dogs play. I see that Karen S bought her dog in November, when typically the dogs remain inside; we bought our girls in July, summer of course, and everyone was outside playing in the pond! FACT: Subsequently, we have had two friends who have purchased goldens from .Melodie. One male friend stops by to see us quite often to show how proud he is of the golden boy that he has; another set of friends, who lost their male golden last year, just bought one -- they've had her two weeks now and said she never once whimpered. FACT: We have a business in our home, a construction business, and our customers comment on how calm our girls are--they always assume they're much older than three years old. Melodie is truly an expert at breeding calm, perfect golden retrievers--and we would never look elsewhere! We are on the waiting list now for both a boy and a girl puppy. I have a goldendoodle (golden retriever mixed with standard poodle) and it has been a challenge to…read morefind any place that gives her a decent haircut, is clean, and is consistent. I used to take her to Petco until a friend told me her dog got mange immediately after being groomed there. Plus, it's out of the way, expensive, and the groomers there come and go. I just didn't trust them at all. The Puppy Cut Hut hasn't been open too long, less than a year I think, but I am in love. I have taken the doodle there 4 or 5 times and each time she has come out looking perfect. I pretty must just have her shaved down to about 1/2" long every 2-3 months depending on the time of year. The face is the challenging part, but the Puppy Cut Hut always makes her look so cute! Also, they are VERY inexpensive. It is less than $50 for bathing, nail trim, and hair clipping a 70 pound dog. So thankful to have such great groomers right in downtown Geneva! Highly recommend them. They also have self service dog bathing which I haven't tried, but it is tempting for our other dog, as well as walk in nail trims. The best part is that the doodle likes going here. She happily walks in the door and doesn't put the brakes on like she used to at Petco.

They always do a wonderful job and her fur is white and shiny. My only complaint is that they can be booked weeks in advance- so be sure to plan ahead. This is telling about how popular the salon is- which is great for them.
