I don't get my hair done often but when I do I like to feel like I'm getting pampered minus the staying in the shop all day. I'm extremely picky when it comes to who trims my hair because some beauticians struggle with knowing the difference between "trim" and "cut" LOL so if you have trust issues like me Rayshawn is your girl. She promotes healthy hair and will let you know if you're trim is past due. She always delivers. Very professional and you can tell she loves her job. The shop is very clean and the employees are friendly. Everyone wears their mask and they sanitize every station after each use. Ps. My press lasted over 3 weeks. Very impressed.

They talked to me a little to get the general idea of how much styling I actually do and helped a lot with that. I was afraid they would take off too much length since I said I wanted to keep the length, but the cut was clean and easy to manage. The shampoo was nice and the blow dry was a pleasant change to some of the other cut and dry styles. The blow Dry left my hair sitting in a pleasant natural shape, not dry and crispy. The salon was a nice and lenient space and gave the effect of a well managed and not overbooked appointment. By the time I got home my hair was still sitting nicely, which is a great sign that the cut was done well. I will for sure consider coming back for my next trim.

My Ode to Jane--- Oh…read moreJane, my dear and beloved Jane. How I love you so If you could only know. Okay, I cant write worth s**t....but you get my point. My WHOLE family, and when I say my WHOLE family, I really mean my WHOLE family sees Jane!! From uncles, cousins, aunts, mothers, grandmothers, uncles wives.....I mean the list is endless and we love JANE! LOVE THIS LADY there is seriously no one like her. We've all been going to Jane for I wanna say 15 years or so. She does awesome facials, using dermalogica products, she also does microdermabrasion and microdermabrasion with facials which can get expensive from hat I've heard shes the cheapest and she does a fine damn good job at it too! She always makes my skin look BOMB!! Not to mention hair cuts, hair dyes. I've also been one of her ginney piggs for the Japanese Thermal Hair Straighting treatments. and her price at the time in 2004 for this treatment was freakin CHEAP compared to other salons who were charing a ridiculous amounts of 300 and up. At the time it was between 150-250 depending on hair length and so on. She really knows her stuff and knows what shes doing to your hair she'll advise good stuff and if she doesn't think you should dye your hair a certain color, she'll tell you the honest truth. Also with certain types of hair treatments she knows what shes talking about! I wish that where ever i went in the world Jane was by my side

The make up sucked, left my face dry, and honestly, she just didn't have the artistic skills. Upon making the appt, she asked what time I wanted to come. I said oh 9am. Well AFTER the service was done, she charged me extra for coming in at 9am! Say what? I complained as to why and she said because they didn't open until 10am!!! I asked her why did she not advise to this before I scheduled it, thinking they opened at 9am- I wasn't even asking for a special time to come in. How would I know her business hrs? She still was a jerk and didn't waive it. Guess what? No tip. My mom had a bad experience too. The owner "was done" with the haircut. Usually the hair stylist asked if all okay and turns you around to see the back and sides. Well my mom said to cut that little extra chunk that was sticking out. Well! She cut it off and charged her more because it was "supposedly" a special request?!! Say what! That woman is greedy crazy. Never has happened elsewhere! We never returned! We sin't know if she's still in business or if karma caught up to her!

My advice to anyone going here: ask for the exact total price and every individual charge BEFORE…read moreyour appointment/service, including payment-method fees. My recent experience with Lupita. The first time I went to Lupita, I contacted her beforehand to ask how much she charges for a haircut. She told me her prices start at $45. When I went in, she washed my hair, did my haircut, & blow-dried it. I remember paying around $75-$80 for the services & tipping her, with my total coming to $90. I thought the hair wash was included in the price because she asked me to come to the hair washing station without mentioning that it's not included but it WAS NOT. But, I really liked the haircut, which is why I went back and also recommended her to two other people. This time, I didn't ask about the price beforehand because I assumed the haircut would still be somewhere around $45-$55. I also specifically washed my hair before going because I did not want to pay extra for a hair wash. This time, she told me the price would be $65 + $5 Zelle fee. I was shocked because I had never heard of her charging a Zelle fee before. She also told me that she was giving me a discount, so this was the price. I paid the $65 + $5 Zelle fee and gave her a $10 tip, making my total $80. After my appointment, I spoke with the two people I had recommended to her(it's not that I was getting commission out of it). They had also paid by Zelle/card, and neither of them had been charged a Zelle fee. Another thing that surprised me was that when I was paying, she asked me for cash. If cash was required or preferred, I believe that should have been communicated beforehand rather than at the time of payment. She also kept explaining that electricity & other expenses are expensive and that this is why she has to charge more. I remember hearing the same explanation during my previous visit as well. I completely understand that business expenses increase and that prices can change, but customers should be clearly informed of the current prices before the service is provided. Another thing that I found frustrating was that she repeatedly compared her prices to other salons and said that other salons charge much more while she is still charging less. But if I wanted to pay the prices that other salons charge, why would I have chosen to come to her in the first place? The main reason I initially chose her was because her haircut prices started at $45, which was a reasonable and affordable price for me, and I was happy with her haircut as well. After I came home, I messaged her to ask for clarification about the pricing & the Zelle fee. She said if I didn't want to pay the Zelle fee, then a different price would apply. My issue is not that a business is allowed to increase its prices. My issue is that the customer should know the exact price BEFORE the service is done. If the price has increased from $45 to $65 or there are additional charges, simply tell the customer upfront so they can decide whether they want to proceed or go somewhere else. I also found it strange that she emphasized that the $65 included a blow-dry. After a haircut, drying the hair is generally part of finishing the haircut; this was not a separate hairstyling service. It was simply drying my hair after the haircut where she blow dries with the round brush, not a proper styling(see my image) The inconsistent pricing, unexpected Zelle fee, different explanations, and lack of clear pricing beforehand have completely changed my experience. No doubt I liked my haircut but I believe she keeps on changing the price depending on the customers. This is the price she sent me at the end after asking many questions: Also, the Saloon is very dirty and messy. The towels, floor with hair etc. "Honey this this my prices : Hair cut 55 short . 65.00 long Blow drying style 65.00 only with hair cut 45.00 High lights 280.00 and up Balayage 350.00 and up Colors 95.00 and up "

They do your do! Its…read moretough to say, but I've been coming to this Salon for, oh.. roughly 17 years. I started before it was renamed Hair Dimension. Its been so long and so many great cuts since, that I can't recall the name of the place before. When I was a kid, I would get 8 dollars from my parents, ride my bike over to get my hair cut. When I was in High school and college I would ride my longboard over from work at the blockbuster a few blocks over and get faded up. Now I drive all the way from Fremont to get cut because I am absolutely, positively certain I will get the do I want, when I need it, for a price that is unheard of. I have never had to wait long when on coming in on a drop in, although appointments are strongly advised. The skill produced by this Salon is beyond par, and the service and friendly nature of the Stylists inside make you feel comfortable, and at ease, while they help you look your best. I can be very stickler about my hair, but never have I been given a short reaction or response when asking to touch up the cut in areas I deem necessary. I have known Karen, one of the amazing Stylists for much of my life, since before HD was created. She has cut all of my brothers hair, my father, and my mothers hair over the years. I now have my hair cut by Marisol, and been doing so for about 6-7 years. Never can I remember getting a bad cut. She is so amazingly nice that its more like visiting a friend then patronizing a business. All I can hope for is that they will be open another 15 years, So I can bring my kids in to get their cuts! Thank you HD for making me look HD!
