After 13 years, we decided to sell the home we loved and purchase a new one. We were emotionally…read moreattached to our place and it was the first place we'd purchased so we were emotional, novice sellers. After reading reviews, we interviewed several agents. We picked Mark and his team because he came prepared with multiple options for our sale. Much of the uncertainty was eliminated because he'd done his homework prior to meeting with us. His suggestion for pricing our home was spot on as well. We also made it clear that we wanted to do very little work to get ready. Mark pointed us to service providers who made sure everything was ready to go. The house looked amazing and we had to do very little to make it happen. Our home sold in under a week in a market that was slowing down and the price point exceeded our expectations. We then moved into buying a new home. Surprisingly, this is where we had the most questions. Mark and his team were incredibly responsive and no question was too small. They helped us navigate financing, an offer and closing. We love our new place and are so happy with the service we received. I can't recommend Mark and his team highly enough.

I found Mark here on Yelp when we were researching for an agent to help us in the sale of our home…read more I was determined to find the best agent I could and initially was relying on reviews and pure intuition. However, when we met with him it became clear that he was definitely the right choice for the following reasons; He is thorough. He asked a lot of questions and took notes. He has a quick wit, and easy charm that let me know he's a good networker. He is very knowledgeable about real estate, has 14+ years of experience and has built a successful business in real estate. The process was stressful as it always is when you are moving a large family. Mark was a cool breeze when we were sweating bullets. He kept us calm when we felt like freaking out. His team and network is fantastic from staging to photography to the mortgage lender and everything in between. He always returned calls, kept us in the loop. Our home sold for well over asking price. We were so happy with him we decided to also hire him as our buyers agent. He negotiated hard for us, and continues to have our back even after the closing of our new home. Thank you Mark and Team! I would definitely recommend considering Mark if you are buying or selling real estate.

What an utter disappointment. They have questionable business practices at best, but that is a…read morewell-know issue among Windermere agencies, who prefer to keep everything in house or within their circle. I reached out to their office to get some basic information about one of their listings, and was stonewalled once I mentioned that I was working with an agent. The listing agent asked that I have my agent contact them and stressed no urgency whatsoever. My agent reached out the following day and was unable to contact them. The following day, after having called them and sending multiple messages, we received a text message l stating that the property was already verbally under contract. Evidently they had zero interest in receiving or even soliciting additional offers. I guess I had been under the false assumption that real estate salespeople are hired by a client to represent their interests by getting the most offers possible, which clearly was not the case here. When I later reached out to the listing agent myself to get details on the offer I was again stonewalled and told they only wanted to deal with my agent. There is no law stating that listing agents are unable to discuss simple facts with inquiring parties (which, by the way I was not actually under contract with an agent in this instance). Instead, I was met only with excuses, attitude, and disappointment. Seriously question the integrity of these people if you are looking to list your property with them, as they seem unmotivated to be professional salespeople, are not working in the best interest of their clients, and are unwilling to share any information or do any work if they don't stand to make commission on both ends of the transaction.

Here is the story, we were dealing with Miao, who is the agent under David. David told us that he would never train employees to give commission rebate, ever. Miao, on the other hand, attracted us to hire him with a promise of 1.5% commission rebate. We were shocked and super glad, and rejected all the other agents friends recommended. Well, we bought the house. In addition, to appreciate his effort and promised commission rebate, one friend of ours also bought an apartment through him. After the deal is closed, Miao backed off. Firstly, he cried on the phone and told us he was not financially capable to give us the commission rebate. We were like, how could you do this to us! Just give us what you can, 1% or even less, it's better than nothing, even though you promised 1.5%. After a few days, Miao started to totally reject our call, picked up our friends call, and told us that he never said yes to commission rebate, and his broker would never allow him to do so! He would give us nothing. However, he raised a solution, which is that only when we refer our friend to him, he would cut part of the commission and pay us back. Well, we do not want to treat our friend like he does! So, eventually, he went to his broker first, told David that we are a bunch of greedy customers who want money, but not respect his efforts. David was like I would never allow this to happen, because Windermere would never give commission rebate. Then, Miao, after giving our worst impression of us to his broker, told us he would never admit that he agreed upon such discount, and encouraged us to talk to his broker. His original quote:"you guys stop disturbing me now! talk to my broker! In fact, I am begging you to talk to my broker!! (with sarcasm)". So we made an appointment and talked to David. He made it clear that there is no verbal agreement in real estate ever, only signed contract. He would accept complain from us, but he chose to believe in evidence. He said "consider it done if it's a complain to Miao". Now we are screwed. Really. After rejecting all the trustworthy agents who have wonderful reputation, we are screwed by a complete liar. Miao, not David though, we can understand David. Credibility is the foundation of business, if we have to write everything done, including when to meet, how clean house will be, seller will leave dinning table here, and sign it, we would rather pass this agent. It is the trust that we had, resulted in lost of 10k+ dollars, and it is the trust that we had, resulted in letting him have another person's business. Please let our lesson help you with your future choice. Do not come near Miao. Or honestly, if there is anything you do business with this company, put it in writing and sign it before you talk about it.
