Besides plumbing and electrical problems the attic was loaded with mold. We found that out through a contractor who performed work at home around the time of being listed. Besides the house's value dropping $150,000 since we purchased it but now we have $50,000 in additionally repairs. Yes we should have had are own inspection but homes were be sold without inspections at the time because of an aggressive real estate market. It's important to have a realtor who is interested in more than just sales. You would think your realtor has more integrity than a car salesman but that wasn't the case.
