We officially closed on our dream home last month after working with Doron and the Weisbarth associates since the summer. This will be our second home purchased with Doron; my husband bought his first townhome in 2019 and we knew well before we were seriously interested in buying again that we'd be working with Doron again (and again). Whether you are a first time buyer, downsizing, looking for something larger, or selling, you can be sure that you will be 100% happy working with this team. Some highlights and anecdotes worth sharing which were important to us: - It is a tough market. Low inventory and rising interest rates meant we needed a true expert to manage our expectations on timing and ultimately close quickly. With decades of experience and a large network of contacts, Doron was able to leverage subject matter expertise to advise on historic trends for influx of inventory, and simply be a sounding board to us when emotions were running high to ensure we stayed grounded and aligned on our true north. - To my previous point, Doron gave us so much patience. It took ~5 months to find the RIGHT house for us. That's not to say we didn't find other houses that we thought were right. There were several times we considered extending an offer, or went through the process of putting together an offer which (fortunately) did not work out. In those instances, we were being pushed on our baseline needs or even price range. It would have been easier for Doron to push us toward buying a house and getting a deal closed. However, there are several times which I can recall where he told us the (too expensive) home was beyond our budget, or gave us a genuine, solicited, advice on his point of view with flags or features in a home that he didn't care for (I.e. too dark, or something he thinks we would grow out of in a few years). Doron is direct and sincere. On a few occasions, family was in town when we went to look at houses together. They noted how "un-pushy" the experience was and how we all learned a lot (i.e. what to look for on low quality house flips, quality build, creative ideas for home renos). - When we *did* find the perfect home, there were several competing offers and it was really neck and neck. Doron shared network contacts, specifically a known and trusted lender who would be able to support a ~14 day close period, which was a lever that helped our offer to be selected. Since closing, Doron has continued to check in, offer insight, and provide additional recommendations on contacts (flooring, contractors etc). Our experience working with this team was so enjoyable. In fact, I told my husband "I'm going to miss hanging with Doron" on weekends. We absolutely recommend others to work with this team the next time they are considering purchasing or selling in the greater Seattle market. read more

I am a repeat customer of Doron Weisbarth's company as buyer and both Seattle transactions were a horrible experience. I speak from experience working with several other brokers. Transaction #1 I was basically totally unassisted throughout the entire process. To this day, no one at the Company has even seen the property throughout the entire buying process, even though they were hired from the start. They ordered the inspection, which they did not oversee and I later found a big hole in the wall and half the electrical sockets didn't work, which was not brought to my attention. I nearly lost my earnest money deposit since Doron's company convinced me to waive financing contingency yet the lender hadn't even began underwriting me (the lender admitted in writing that I really did almost lose it). They didn't have the required edits made to closing papers by closing day despite written instruction way ahead of time. No one from their company, lender, title/escrow, or even a notary showed up on closing day two separate times. Transaction #2 - Doron told me that his company ordered the title report (jointly with the seller), yet the order omitted the second parcel number associated with the property. As a result, title did not transfer for the other parcel, and it was not covered by title insurance, and cost me a ton of money in legal fees to fix when it was discovered years later. He committed in writing that he would contribute towards those costs so long as other parties to the transaction also did. But when several others contributed more than half, he refused to follow his promise (in all fairness he did offer a pittance of 2% of my legal costs, and under the condition that I give the entire amount to charity and also commit to doing more business with him). Doron then began berating me with text messages personal attacks, including anger for not doing another deal with him while this was all under investigation (he took the liberty of looking up my personal assets, which is totally inappropriate). He also claimed that this is all okay because he did a lot of other good. Including taking credit for market appreciation after the purchase (???) and also finding the property off market, however both were incorrect, It was on the market and I had found it online and brought it to him. He did spend some time on the phone with me, so I do give him credit for that, but in hindsight it was not to help but rather so he could find a way out of the issue. #3 - Other deals we looked at - Despite constant bragging about finding great deals, they sent me a listing across the street from a property they "helped" me purchase just a week after closing, and didn't think I would notice I had just paid 20% more for the "deal" I bought. On another deal the seller was literally on his deathbed and their Company insisted on continuing to bother him. When I called to complain that this wasn't the right thing to do, Doron just tried to steer the conversation to sell me another property. read more

Doron recently listed and sold our house. We give Doron and his assistant Laura 5 stars on all dimensions without hesitation. They are attentive, professional, and clearly know the local market. The few concerns we had at the beginning of the process were quickly put to rest. For a fairly small company, Weisbarth and Associates has a large number of sales. In the beginning we were concerned that we may get lost in the shuffle. Not so. Doron and Laura's responsiveness could not have been better. Our calls, texts and emails were all returned quickly. We had several long sit-down meetings to discuss house prep, marketing and pricing strategy. We've had realtors on previous home sales tells us upfront what they think they can sell our house for, sometimes months before the house went on the market. Doron's approach is different. Price is best determined very close to the listing date. It takes into account fluid market conditions in individual neighborhoods. This includes the number of pending sales and the number of bidders on those pending sales to give an idea on how many potential buyers are still actively looking. Doron and team arranged a pre-listing home inspection and identified resources for last minute repairs. Doron was present and actively engaged with the photographer during the photo shoot. We had an extremely negative experience with Mr. Doron Weisbarth. After working with him we feel that he is dishonest and only looking out for his own interests. Due to complications within his firm, he passive-aggressively forced us to work with him (in a politically correct and still legal way). The alternative was to redo months of work so we grudgingly kept working with him. He didn't know much about our file when he entered the picture and we found the house we ended up buying on our own shortly thereafter. During the bidding process, he used our lack of experience (this was our first home purchase) to try and convince us to bid aggressively to his benefit but not ours. We did not fully understand the risk even though he made it seem like he explained them all to us. Luckily we kept in touch with someone we trusted and was informed of our true risk of bidding at the point Mr. Weisbarth was pushing for. Thankfully, we were able to correct our bid in time. During this process, Mr. Weisbarth also disregarded our request to stop contacting us and let someone else represent us. He went as far as telling the selling agent to go through him for all communications despite our wishes. We won the bid with the help of someone else figuring out the details of what was going on and guiding us through it all. Throughout the closing process, someone else helped us with explanations and communications with the mortgage company while Mr. Weisbarth did nothing except give us the keys (which we had to ask him for). I rate his process expertise as masterful because he knows it well enough to know exactly what to say to manipulate inexperienced buyers to his own ends. In other words, he lets his clients take all the risks while he takes none yet he reaps all the benefits of a higher commission, even if it could cost his clients everything they own. read more
