Get Happy at Home made the entire house buying experience a joyful and supremely positive experience! Our first meeting with Matt, we spent over 90 minutes talking about our wants, needs, and preferences. He also walked us through their entire process, from our first tour through closing. From there, we had the chance to meet the team, and every single person over there is incredible. Ryan is like John D. Rockefeller fused with the Terminator (this is a compliment Ryan, I promise!) - he can spot issues and pain points in a house at a glance, and will literally leave no stone unturned to ensure things are up to code and built the way they're supposed to be (we watched him crawl into the smallest crawl space imaginable to check the insulation of a house once, I was shook). Karl is the most visionary man I've ever met, on several tours he painted a picture of all the ways we could modify a house to meet our preferences. I'm not talking about "hang a painting here", Karl would open his bid with "tear this half of the house down and rebuild it this way", and it was phenomenal. What I would give to pay a visit to his imagination. Matt is a force of nature. On any given day, he's juggling 5 of the craziest conversations and deals you can imagine, and HE has THEM all on the back foot. Matt knows the entire area and real estate market like the back of his hand, and always gave it to us straight as to what we were looking at. We certainly would not have found our dream house without his expertise, promptness, initiative, and professionalism. And of course there's Marta, who holds the whole operation together. What would we have done without her guidance in scheduling our tours and the weekly updates on our progress all the way up to and even after our closing! Two particular experiences stand out to me: On one house we were considering, we went back to visit at night to get a feel for the after-sun atmosphere. While we were there, Karl walked us through all the things about the house we might like or dislike, how we'd change them, and generally how the value of the house stood up to the asking price. We spent over an hour together that evening just chatting like old friends, and by the end of it, we determined that the house wasn't the one for us after all. In another instance, we toured a house that we were SURE was the one, so we went back in the evening with Ryan to look at it again. During that conversation, Ryan didn't try to convince us to make an offer or to walk away, he simply asked us questions. The one that got us was "let's pretend we were sitting in this house 5 or 10 years from now. Is it everything you need and want?". Walking through that exercise made us realize that the house was great for a childless couple, but perhaps not so once little ones become a factor. This was something we completely glossed over as we got caught up in the excitement of the house, and thanks to Ryan, we made the right choice to pass. In the end, we ended up buying the house of our dreams, a new build in the neighborhood we wanted with all of the things we were looking for. There's no way we would have ended up here without the entire team's expertise and willingness to endure a temporary "no" for the right "yes". I could not have asked for a better team to partner with for this search, and now we're happily in our dream house :) I would recommend GHAH 1000 times in a row, this whole team kicks serious ass. read more

Matt, Ryan, and Martha are the best team you could ask for! We sold our townhome with the team, and not only did they make the end-to-end process seem effortless for us - from strategizing to comp analysis to repairs to staging to open homes to closing in a "we've seen much better days market" - but they also managed to make it fun! Deep insights, industry knowledge, flawless execution, prompt updates, killer sense of humor - best team and the absolute best humans to work with! read more

We've worked with Matt twice now (both times very successfully) and honestly wouldn't go to anyone else. This time around we got to work with the whole team - everyone is so great and they all go above and beyond. GHAH just makes the whole thing so much easier and Matt keeps it so real. From day one they actually listened to what we wanted and what our budget was, but kept our expectations inline with what was realistic. It feels like working with someone who is genuinely on our side. They're incredibly organized and communicative too. Appointments were always smooth, they do all the scheduling with other companies as needed, we always knew what was happening next, and we never had to wonder where things stood. That kind of hand-holding (in the best way) makes a huge difference when the process can feel so overwhelming. We're also using Happy at Home Contracting - equally amazing! Medardo and team are top tier. Truly cannot say enough good things about Matt and the GHAH team! read more

Matt, Ryan, Marta, and the team did a wonderful job helping us find a home! In the beginning of our search, we were unsure of where to even begin - including which area we wanted to live. They took time to get to know us and drive us around different neighborhoods, pointing out styles of homes and what to look out for. They also took time to help us understand the steps we needed to take during our home buying journey, which is especially important in a competitive market like the Seattle area and because it is our first house. What we really appreciate from them comes from their wealth of knowledge on home buying in the Seattle area - they were candid and honest about the qualities of each home we visited and why or why not a home may be right fit for us. They were readily available in case we had any last minute questions or wanted to a last minute showing. When we set our sights on a house, they helped us get an inspection and helped write up an offer as quickly as possible. Buying a house can be a stressful process but it was nice to have such a wonderful team on our side - we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home in the area!! read more

My wife and I sincerely enjoyed working with Matt, Ryan, and Marta. This close-knit team is extremely personable and make you feel comfortable from the very first meeting. Matt and Ryan provided useful and candid feedback in regards to any of our questions/concerns without making us feel rushed during house hunting tours or when talking through options of locations we weren't familiar with, while Marta made the scheduling portion of the process to tour houses for sale easy and stress-free. When we were finally ready to put in an offer, Matt and Ryan stayed by our side the entire time by providing real time updates when counter offers came in and would then lay out all our options on how to proceed. read more

We recently had the pleasure of working with Matt, Ryan, and Marta to buy our first house in West Seattle. We chose Get Happy at Home because of their focus on education and knowledge of the market, and they exceeded our expectations! They guided us through a few dozen house tours while we calibrated our needs and desires against the realities of the Seattle housing market. Once we identified the right house for us, Matt put together a highly competitive offer, while keeping us safe by arranging a last-minute, 8 AM on Monday inspection of the house. We beat out 4 other offers, including one with a higher bid, thanks to Matt's preparation and wealth of experience. The one thing we'd change if we were starting over would be to discuss mortgage lenders earlier in the process. We hadn't introduced one of our potential lenders to the GHAH team by the time we were ready to write our offer, so we ended up selecting one of their recommended lenders that they were confident would make our offer maximally competitive. Buying a house is a huge commitment and a complicated process. We were glad to have knowledgeable experts like Matt and Ryan there to guide us through it. There are lots of ways you can buy *a* house. But to buy the *right* house for us, at the right price, Get Happy at Home proved invaluable. read more

Get Happy at Home - Us getting happy at our new home! - Real Estate Agents Near Me - Seattle, Washington

As first time home buyers, the Get Happy At Home team were extremely helpful in taking us through the process and educating us about what to look for, and considerations that we would not have known about with out them. When we found our house they helped us write a competitive offer while staying in budget. They are very knowledgable and transparent about home maintenance and construction. This helped us not only understand the full commitment of the house, but also the additional costs such as roof replacement. All in all, I could not recommend them more, especially for first-time home buyers! read more

Ryan was an absolute pleasure to work with. My partner and I went from being potential home-buyers to homeowners within a few weeks, and we owe it all to Ryan and the GHAH team. We had dipped our toes into the Seattle real estate market in 2021 as potential first-time home-buyers and knew from that short-lived experience that we were well out of our depth. Fast forward to 2024, we approached Ryan and the GHAH team among others with a bit of surface-level knowledge about the home-buying process, plenty of trepidation, and muted expectations. With all that being said, Ryan and the GHAH team soon blew us out of the water with their professionalism, transparency, and an attentiveness to our needs (and wants!) that made us feel actual excitement towards the home-searching and buying process; not an easy feat. His emphasis on properly educating us as (first-time) buyers and ensuring that we never felt pressured into making an offer--and accepting undue compromise--makes him a standout pick for buying in a market that is as competitive as Seattle's. Our only "lament" would be that we "only" worked with him just short of a month. By the third week of looking at places as soon as they were listed, we found a place that exceeded our expectations and had our first offer for it accepted. The following closing process was as painless as it can get with the GHAH team and Ryan guiding us, and overall we genuinely couldn't be happier. We are confident in recommending Ryan and the Get Happy at Home team for anyone looking to buy in Seattle. read more

Ryan and Marta went above and beyond to help me find the perfect condo. Ryan even drove 40 minutes to pick me up for our first tour in Seattle and later he negotiated $15k off the listing price. He also arranged a last-minute inspection. His knowledge of condos was invaluable - he recently completed coursework on inspections to be even more knowledgable. Meanwhile, Marta flawlessly coordinated all parties, helped me set up utilities, and ensured a smooth closing. I highly recommend this team! read more

We worked with Get Happy At Home for a recent purchase in the Seattle area, and we couldn't recommend them enough. We worked primarily with Ryan, with abundant support from Marta, Matt, and the rest of the GHAH team. From the onset, Ryan took the time to understand our goals as buyers, and helped us line up a full slate of properties that fit our criteria. Once we identified a property that fit our needs, he expertly handled all of the negotiations and communication with the seller, and made the process a complete breeze. Ryan's deep knowledge of the market, paired with GHAH's broad expertise and full suite of contracting services, helped us feel reassured and confident in every stage of the purchase process. We look forward to working with Ryan and the GHAH team in the future, and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a home in the Seattle area! read more

My husband and I were referred to the GHAH team by a fellow agent (in another market area). We moved to the Eastside from out of state and were in no way prepared to tackled the 18,000 Seattle neighborhoods on our own once we decided to leave Bellevue. We are SO happy she directed us to GHAH because I cannot imagine a more perfect team for us than Matt, Ryan, and Marta. Matt is a kook, hilarious and knowledgeable and so personable. Ryan is the responsible one with a streak of verbosity and pop culture humor that makes him an indelible partner. Marta is the glue that holds these two together (and accountable). Everyone is kind, fun, professional (when needed), and casual otherwise. They have endless patience and knowledge, are somehow available at the drop of a hat, and treat every interaction with warmth and kind-hearted humor. They educated us, drove us around for hours, and fought for us when dealing with sellers. I could not be happier with the service they provided and will recommend them to anyone and everyone. You guys are amazing, thank you so much!! read more

We had such a great experience working with Ryan and the Get Happy at Home team while buying our first home. Ryan is super knowledgable of the Seattle market and spent a lot of time showing and explaining the pros and cons of everything we were interested in, and ultimately left us feeling confident in knowing exactly what we were looking for. We ended up finding a perfect fit in a neighborhood we already loved and our first offer was accepted - Ryan and the rest of his team were attentive and detail oriented during the entire offer/close process and were available to answer any questions that came up along the way. We would highly recommend Ryan and the Get Happy at Home team to anyone looking for a home in the Seattle area! read more

We worked with Matt & Ian from Get Happy at Home to purchase our new home in the Greater seattle area. The housing market is an aggressive one to navigate & both Matt & Ian are the right people to help you - they go over & above to make sure you have an edge while submitting an offer, and truly help swing things in your favor. Both Matt & Ian are super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, organized & responsive. We bought the first house we saw & loved but did tour a few houses with Matt over a weekend. His honest opinion during house tours was really appreciated & helped us gauge things from a different perspective. They also own a construction company, so it was extremely helpful to have their perspective on how much it would cost to remodel stuff while touring houses. Matt was also super helpful in getting us in touch with multiple local lenders for quick pre approvals. Everything right from house tours, to putting an offer to closing was a seamless process for us! Having worked with other realtors in past transactions, we could tell the stark difference in knowledge & professionalism while working with Matt/Ian. It's no wonder they are so popular & came highly recommended by most of our friends. Overall a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this team to anyone looking to buy a house in Seattle & surrounding areas! read more

Matt is an awesome realtor! He helped us navigate the very treacherous Seattle housing market. He guided us towards the right neighborhood and house which meshes perfectly with our lifestyle. Moreover Matt's USP is his personal touch. He showed us every home personally and was always available to answer our questions. This helped us move fast enough in this highly competitive market. The best part was that Matt never pressured us to make a decision - he only gave us the required data points but the decision was always ours to make. read more

I would highly recommend her services to anyone that needs a realtor and look forward to working with her again in the future. read more

THE. MOST. AMAZING. TEAM. Seriously, my husband and I are forever indebted to Amber and the rest of the team for helping us navigate the housing market in this crazy time. Everything was one thousand times above & beyond, from the very first "learning" meeting, neighborhood tours, endless phone calls and txt messages, and then coaching us through our first (& only!) offer on our perfect home. Amber was there for us in a million ways, answering our calls, and questions at all hours. We were educated, advocated for, and so taken care of. If it wasn't for Amber's knowledge, direction and insight, we may have put more offers out there or settled for something we liked but didn't love. But Amber helped us create our non-negotiables, filter our search, tour EVERYTHING, be picky, and wait to put an offer in until we were completely sold. They drafted us a winning offer, the process was extremely efficient, and Amber even helped connect us with resources for our home renovations after closing! These people are brilliant, tireless, and honestly super fun! Being around Amber, Matt, & Ian is always a party, and we can't imagine working with anyone else. They are the very very very best. read more

The BEST real estate team in the Greater Seattle area, period. We tried to sell our townhouse and buy a single-family home through a major real estate company (name rhymes with "muffin"). Despite the premier concierge experience that we opted for; it was overall a disappointment. We ended up taking our townhome off the market and not buying our dream home. Get Happy at Home Team rescued us! They provided us a personalized service, curated the right homes for us, staged our townhouse like a dream and sold it within 3 days of listing. The attention to detail from the entire team was amazing. There was constant communication, status updates and transparency, every step of the way. And it didn't hurt that they have a wonderful sense of humor, which makes buying in this competitive market much less stressful. Thank you for everything and for helping us get happy at home :) read more

Get Happy At Home! We found our dream home on day 1 of house hunting but we kept visiting the same shortlisted home again and again and again (atleast 5-8 times) before we locked in this home. All this while Matt & Ian were very patient with us and were available at all times very responsive to texts, calls, etc. Right from our first introduction meeting and all throughout the home hunt process (and even after) they are always open to answering questions, providing recommendations and going over and above to take care of their clients (now friends). They leave a lasting impact and create a personal bond with every client and that just gives us a safe space in this tedious process made really smooth by Matt & Ian. Right from locking in our dream home, to putting in an offer, negotiating with the builder, communicating fixes prior to closing, closing day tasks, etc. were all a breeze thanks to all the support and experience they got to the table. While we toured more than 20 homes before we locked in what we liked on Day 1, we always appreciated Matt & Ian's honest opinion about each home, which was an eye opener for a layman like me in the real estate market. I whole heartedly recommend them to all in Seattle. I will also be approaching them for all future real estate needs. You guys rock! :-) read more

Ryan and the entire Get Happy at Home team were fantastic! They made a daunting process so easy and smooth. Working with Amber and the whole Get Happy At Home team was awesome! She helped me navigate the 2021 Seattle housing market as a (very picky) first time buyer, really quickly helped me hone in on what I wanted in a place, and answered all of my nitpicky questions throughout the whole process. The whole team was super responsive throughout the whole process, which I have no doubt contributed to us getting our first choice home. I can't thank them enough! read more

Trying to find a home in the Seattle area is extremely challenging. Get Happy at Home team was a key factor in navigating our first home purchase. We first started looking a few years ago and even then Matt was tireless in helping us find something we liked which also met our budget. In addition, he was more than willing to navigate any challenges which may surface as we were using the VA loan process including finding a loan officer we could work with that had expertise in VA loans. Timing turned out to be not quite right so we shelved the idea of purchasing a home. Fast forward a couple of years later and on a whim we went and looked at a new build. We really liked it but wanted a professional opinion before we proceeded. We contacted Matt once again to get his input before going any further. Not only did Matt give us his professional take on the situation, he did a full fledged deep dive inquiry including an entire report and provided a list of properties we should look at before making any final decisions. By the following weekend we were out looking at all the comparable properties Get Happy at Home found so we could make an informed purchasing decision. Matt and Ian were tireless in showing us all the options and gave us their unbiased professional feedback on any question we asked. They were fierce negotiators when it came to settling the contract with the builder. Matt and Ian were able to get us an even better deal than we first came to the table with. More importantly, they were able to negotiate down our purchase price after the builder lowered comparable lots post contract signing. Their expertise and guidance was invaluable all the way through the process and on closing day the Get Happy at Home team came out to celebrate with us! We could not be more pleased with the Get Happy at Home Team. The responsiveness, professionalism, and advocacy on your behalf as a buyer is invaluable. I cannot recommend Get Happy at Home enough to anyone looking to buy a home! read more

We discovered GHAH after undertaking a fairly broad search for a Seattle area real estate agent. I feel like we hit the jackpot! My partner and I feel happier than happy after working with Matt and the GHAH team on a purchase transaction, and recommend them without hesitation. While I could gush for quite a while extolling the many benefits of working with the GHAH team, I'll focus on a few: (1) amazing knowledge of the Seattle real estate market, especially helpful since we were considering a wide range of neighborhoods both north and south; (2) insightful awareness of condition and inspection issues, providing us with additional commentary on what the sellers had taken care of or what we might need to address; (3) level-headed support throughout each offer or contemplated offer, including patience when dealing with some inexplicably crazytown bidding wars and perseverance when a seemingly too-good-to-be-true situation resulted in getting our new home at asking price in an amazingly short time; (4) responsiveness to our many and sometimes random questions about specific houses and purchase details; and (5) candid input on one of the most consequential financial transactions of our lives. Kudos to Matt, Ryan, and Marta for providing such an excellent level of service and keeping the stress and unnecessary excitement to a bare minimum. read more

It's no accident that my family was able to purchase our first home this spring. Amber and her team at Get Happy at Home were absolutely the difference in a cutthroat real estate market that had us intimidated to even start looking and we cannot recommend them highly enough. Amber was never pushy, though she did steer us away from several disasters-in-waiting. Instead, she was responsive, professional and friendly, and in the end got us the house we wanted at a price we are thrilled with. Thank you Amber! read more

Amber and the whole team at Get Happy at Home were fantastic. Amber had no end of patience for us and all of our questions, and she was generally an absolute joy to work with! We were especially impressed with how well the entire team listened to what we were looking for, and found proprieties to fit the bill. Even when we didn't know exactly what we wanted, Amber and team helped to talk us through all the possibilities to make sure that we ended up with the perfect new home for us. read more

Matt and Ian helped us purchase our home in Bothell and sell our townhouse in Leschi in 2021, and we couldn't recommend them enough! They were professional every step of the way, fun to work with, and always seemed to know what we wanted (sometimes before we knew what we wanted). They are wizards at transforming and modernizing older homes and have the resources and team to make that happen. This allowed us to feel confident in buying a home that we knew without a little sweat equity would easily be out of our price range. Our home in Bothell was built in the 70's and needed reno work and Matt and Ian helped us envision what the place could be, guided us through the buying process, and played an active role throughout the entire project. When it came to selling our Leschi home, our priorities were to sell it as quickly as possible at the best possible price. Matt and Ian helped work some magic to get it sold in an off market deal at a price we were very happy with. I'd be remiss if I also didn't mention Medardo, who is a general contractor on the team, who project managed and drove much of the renovation efforts in both houses. Many thanks to the Get Happy team and we highly recommend them to future buyer/sellers! read more

I'm not sure where all these other reviews are coming from but thought I'd add my experience with this fellow... A few months ago my broker referred me to Matthew. I set up a meeting with him at my home to discuss selling and buying. He seems more concerned about selling my home because it would sell easily due to the location than answering my questions with regards to where I would actually be going after selling... Worst of all it took him over TWO WEEKS to even email me back after our first meeting. By then honestly I already found another realtor who was professional enough to get back to their client/potential client same/next day. I can't honestly recommend this guy, any Realtor that can't get back to you within a reasonable amount of time probably won't do a good job for you. read more

We were referred to Matt and his team by one of our close friends in 2017, little did we know that we will make a great friend and have an awesome realtor team by our side. They move fast, provide excellent advice and support thought out the buying process, and close which is what matters at the end of the day. They start with knowing about your lifestyle, need and wants before everything else which was huge help for us as a first time buyer. They also provide support in financing through referrals from efficient lenders and ultimately close it besides providing day by day or weekly updates with details on the timeline to close. This minimizes the risk of complications with closing. In addition to that, they also have an experienced team of contractors to renovate properties before selling or just for upscaling. All in all, it's a one stop destination for all our property related needs within greater Seattle area. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for these qualities in their real estate team. read more

My husband and I are out-of-state investors who contacted Matt after seeing his stellar reviews on Yelp. We were in search of an investment property in Seattle, WA. After a fabulous initial consult via phone, we decided to move forward with Matt. Everything went downhill from there. Long story short, there was a lack of communication and detail on his part. Being out-of-state investors, we wanted some structure and timelines, as we were flying out to Seattle to view properties. We understand that he's a busy guy, but he should be more forthcoming about his ability (or inability) to take on new clients. We decided to part ways and hired a different realtor. With the help of this new realtor, we made an offer on a great property and are now in the closing phase. Tip - Matt referred us to his buddy, a female mortgage broker. Fortunately we declined this offer and opted to work with a different broker. This helped make our separation smoother. We may have felt compelled to work with him otherwise. read more

We are so glad that Amber at Get Happy at Home helped us find and buy our Central Seattle townhome. Being from out of town and wanting to buy in a super competitive market made our experience a bit stressful and challenging but we managed with Amber's calm, positive help.  She helped us fine tune our focus. She answered lots of questions and provided us with much helpful feedback on properties when we had lists of possibilities. When we wanted to see a property she was always available and would show us the property remotely and revisit it if necessary. She took time to explain issues that we did not understand. Even after closing she has followed up on problematic issues for us. We really appreciated working with Amber and highly recommend her and the Get Happy at Home Team. read more

As a first time home buyer completely new to the process, Matt really took me under his experienced wings and helped me find the perfect property in a great neighborhood. Naturally, the one I chose was a short sale, so him being an expert in that field really saved me some time and money when negotiating all the intricate details of a 3 month transaction. Matt was very responsive in getting back to me with questions, which I really value. I don't like waiting around for information. Matt's knowledge of real estate far surpassed my expectations of working with such a young, energetic guy. He also has tons of great connections of you need to find the right lender, contractor, inspector, etc. I would definitely recommend Matt to anyone looking to buy a property, whether this is your first home or your tenth! read more

We found Matt through a neighbor's recommendation, and boy were we glad! Two first time home buyers, moving to a new city, with absolutely not idea what we were doing in either pursuit. What could go wrong? Luckily, Matt knew exactly what he was doing. We can't have been the easiest clients to work with, but he was patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. Matt possesses a rare intuition that will make him your own personal home-buying clairvoyant. Even if you can't properly articulate what you are looking for, he has an uncanny ability to pick up on the smallest signals to help you find your perfect fit. You always feel like you're his only client - always accessible through phone, text, email, or even in person. When it became time to put in an offer, we were never nervous, even though there were multiple offers already. Matt knows exactly how to package an offer, and did all the work for us so we never had to stress. He is very personable, funny, and honest. Instead of seeking the quick sale, he taught us which features of the homes we visited were actually valuable vs just "nice to haves", or when houses that seemed nice upon the first impression might not grow in value as fast as he wanted for us. Even when we bought the home, he followed up with us to make sure that we were happy. We started our search in February, and finally moved into our new home in October. We couldn't be happier with our choice, and it wouldn't have been possible without Matt's help! read more

We met Matt by happenstance in the summer of 2015 via mutual personal interest. So we knew him more as a friend first and realtor second. My wife and I moved to Seattle in 2014 and had worked with several realtors who all seemed to disappoint. Each seemed to have their own agenda, and we quickly stopped our home search and put the whole thing on hold. What turned out to be frustrating event in our life worked out in the end, because of Matt. Matt spent time getting to know us, understand who we are, our interests and life plans. not just because of our interest, but because this is his process. This really helped his advise on such a great city with many unique offerings in very niche neighborhoods. This is much more than many others we worked with who were very pushy about where we needed to be based on a quick assessment of who we were and where we moved from. To purchase in this city is not easy, its a rapidly growing market with high demand, and emotions run high. Matt spent the time preparing us for what we could expect from the market and helping to set the stage for in the bidding process. His advise was straight forward, fact based and rationalized. Hard to do in a inflated market and yet another trait others don't employ and should. We got to work, Matt worked on our calendars and agenda and worked tirelessly to show us homes and offer endless advise on neighborhoods. We put out a few bids and were rejected, ultimately gave up after months of tough losses. We settled on not doing anything and not being able to deal with another disappointment. Matt brought us back to regroup, he knew what we wanted and was determined to not let us give up. he suggested we look more broadly at an opportunity in a changing neighborhood. We were reluctant at first, but went to look at a house a little outside of our search parameters. So glad we did.. We purchased the house a month later and me, my wife and new baby are so happy! Without Matt's help and very supportive approach we would not have our lovely home. I highly recommend Matt. I have worked with many realtors in the past, none like him. You will not be disappointed. read more

I recently moved from Hawaii to Seattle, and Matt was truly exceptional in helping me find my new home, negotiate my home, and finance my home. We looked at 10 locations the first day, 5 more the second before we found the two I liked best. He asks questions to figure out exactlty what you want, then goes to work negotiating on your behalf. He expertly negotiated my purchase, getting me a few extras and politely refusing unfair counteroffers. While working with my financial processors, he was adept at keeping the paperwork flowing as fast as possible, using modern electronic databasing to get my property found and closed in 40 days, a remarkable feat! One month after closing, he is still periodically checking in on me to see how I am transitioning and if I have had any problems, he truly cares! This is the second home I have purchased, and though I have no complaints about my first agent, Matt is in a whole other league. I have and will continue to recommend him to my family and friends. Update: 10/29/2013 I had the pleasure of working with Matt to sell my condo and I couldn't have been more pleased about the experience. No longer living in the Seattle area, I was very pleased and relieved that Matt was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that staging, repairs, and all other prep for showing was done in a timely manner. I'm pleased to say that through his professional and efficient work we were able to find a buyer within a couple weeks of listing the property and closed ON-TIME!! If you're looking for a highly qualified agent who knows the ropes of appraisals and getting the sale then Matt is the guy for you! 10/20/2010 As a homeowner who needed to desperately find a well qualified renter, I tried to use all of the usual suspects to fill my vacancy: Craigslist, Seattlerentals.com, etc. No dice for about two months. One call to Matt here and not only was the place rented within the week, but he made sure that all the details were figured out while I was out of town. I can't rave about him more and I fully intend to use his services in the future. read more

This review is long overdue- My husband and I were in search for an investment property for a 1031 exchange earlier this Spring. In addition, a primary home would follow for our small family. After exhausting interviews with Seattle realtors, we were ready to settle with one until we found Matt. I'm a strong believer in researching before committing, so we resorted to Yelp and found Matt. As a social media business owner, I was impressed with his online presence (many realtors don't bother when they should). Coming from the Bay Area, we understood that the Seattle market was just as hot and were ready to strike when the right opportunity arose. After touring numerous investment properties, we secured a nice property in Magnolia within the allotted 1031 exchange time-frame. Matt advised us on sound neighborhoods that would bring us positive cash flow. Impressed with Matt's ability, follow up and expertise we continued our search for our primary home. We had a difficult wish list like every family home buyer seeks, but he understood us and worked hard to achieve our goal. Matt realized the challenges for out of town investors, but assured us that he was our advocate. Mr. Miner researched the area of homes we prioritized, studied comps, FaceTimed us and/or produced videos of home walk-throughs and drove around the neighborhoods to give us an idea of the area. Again, looking out for us he advised us on which neighborhoods would best suit our family and my particular needs. He made his preference apparent and never discouraged us, again guiding us for our best interest in areas, homes and price points. Ultimately it's a numbers game too and be prepared to be competitive for the desired homes! Patience paid off and we recently secured a beautiful studs-out renovated craftsman in Wedgwood. The most impressive thing is his quick and thorough work. We viewed the home in the morning and wrote an offer in a few hours. The house received four offers on its second day on the market and we won it without touching our escalator. As my husband says, "Matt you are a genius!" We are closing in a couple of days and he has continually walked us through the entire process and continually checks in. The sale doesn't end when your offer gets accepted, it continues after close. Matt has been stellar in the entire process and provided us excellent recommendations on financing firms etc. Thank you for all your hard work Matt, your work is exemplary and hope that others will be inspired by your dedication and your work achievements Matt is everything you seek in a realtor: experience, knowledge, customer service, listening skills, patience and attentiveness.
