All of the girls seem pretty good at what they do. Some of them just seem to care more. Meaning they take their time and actually try. Some girls mail it in. My last experience there was awesome! And I apologize that I didn't catch the stylists name but she did great. She took her time, actually asked me what I wanted to do, and did a great job. My favorite thing about Hair cuttery is that they still actually wash your hair and give you an awesome scalp massage. Again, depending on the stylist, you can get an awesome hair cut here. I usually just show up and get whichever girl that is available.

Almost every time I schedule an appointment, it ends up being canceled the same day. This has happened more than four times, and one time I was notified just 15 minutes before my appointment. I completely understand that unexpected things come up, and I try to be understanding of that. However, the repeated last-minute cancellations have become frustrating and make it difficult for me to plan my schedule. As a mom of four, arranging childcare and finding accommodations with babysitters takes time and effort, so when an appointment is canceled at the last minute, it become frustrating.

I have never had a negative experience at any Aveda Salon and 3 Dimensions (my sixth) is no exception. When you come in you are greeted by friendly, welcoming people. Gina takes care of you from the moment you walk in the door until you leave, always with a smile on her face Special kudos to Nicole (hair) and Courtney (nails). Nicole carefully goes through consultation with you listening intently to make sure she knows exactly what you want, and is simply superb. She even fastidiousy checks beards and goatees to make sure they are the way you want them and trims them for you if desired. Courtney is the best manicurist I have had in 10 years. And YES guys do get their nails done (you would be quite surprised at the number of executives who do). If you really want to take care of your hands, there is no better way to do so, and few that can do guys' nails like Courtney can. She practiced on her boyfriend's nails (lucky guy!) and she has it down to an art. And no, I don't get color polish, :-p, just cuticle oil and possibly a clear top-coat. I had a brow appointment scheduled for 9:20 a.m. at the Ulta in McHenry this past Saturday. I…read morearrived at the check-in desk at approximately 9:22 a.m. and was immediately told, quite rudely, that my appointment had just been canceled as a "no show." I explained that my appointment was scheduled for 9:20 a.m., which was confirmed both via their text system and again by phone the day prior. I was told I was "incorrect" and that the appointment was actually for 9:15 a.m. I then showed my original confirmation on my phone clearly stating 9:20 a.m., at which point a 9:15 a.m. cancellation conveniently appeared. Despite being less than two minutes late for an appointment that had been confirmed for 9:20 a.m., I was told they could not accommodate me because they were fully booked and insisted my appointment was at 9:15am despite seeing with their eyes, that it was at 9:20am (they did not share evidence that their system actually indicated 9:15am and the individual was very rude from the get go). There was no apology, no attempt to resolve the discrepancy, and no accountability--only repeated insistence that I was out of luck. When I expressed that this was unfair and suggested their booking system needed to be corrected, the response was simply, "I agree," with no further effort to help. The interaction escalated unnecessarily, and the tone throughout was dismissive and unprofessional. This was one of the most rude and unjust customer service experiences I've had. The lack of any type of apology for the inconvenience to me, was icing on the cake. Unfortunately and mysteriously I'm currently unable to log into my account or reset my password; otherwise, I would include the staff member's name.
