The food is frickin' awesome. The honey wheat bread on my Palmetto Special was soft and warm amazingly good. My wife got 8 grain bread on her Carolina BLT and usually doesn't like "wholesome" breads but was really impressed with it. Not to mention the pile of meat on her sandwich was about as thick as my fist. My daughter got a ham sandwich and even she seemed pretty interested. None of us ate more than 1/2 before we were full, so not only did we get great food, we also got leftovers! The meat is sliced to order on the spot and the veggies were fresh and crisp. You have to ask for pickles on the side and it's worth it because they're quite delicious, too. When we were leaving another couple came in for lunch. The husband had a sub but the wife got a salad and as they sat down, both of them could do nothing but sit and stare at how much food she was given. That thing was HUGE! This place is probably going to be one of my favorites and I can't wait to go back and try so many other sandwiches (and one of those salads).
