This review is a consolidation from two visits. Stopped in my first visit to this location, typical JM restaurant with standard decor and layout. They have approx 5 tables/chairs and it was clean. The staff greets you as you walk in. The first visit was a dine-in tuna sandwich, it was good but could have been filled more (bread-to-tuna ratio). Second visit was take-out, called ahead my order and it was ready once I arrived. Ordered the tuna and roast beef. For the price, it would be nice if they build the sandwiches as other JM locations do. Overall: it was still a good sandwich with fresh ingredients. read more

Pretty Solid "Mike's" Sub Shop. in Jersey we just call it "Mike's" otherwise it would be redundant don't you think? lol. Anyhow this particular location in Succasunna features decently constructed sandwiches and efficient service even during peak lunchtime hours which was when I decided to stop by.    I tried their new Smoky Southwestern Cheese Steak which was loaded with Grilled Onions, Peppers, Cheese, and Smoky Southwest Sauce for the ultimate hot sammich experience. By hot I don't mean spicy but I sure do wish they did make a spicy version of this delicious handheld masterpiece that would be incredible. Next time I'll ask for Jalapeños that'll do the trick.    At any rate I got in, ordered my sub, and was on my way in no time flat. Can't ask for anything more than that. Our fist and probably last time ordering from here. I ordered a #64, portabella mushroom, steak and swiss cheese, guess what they for got, the steak. My husband ordered a #9 in a bowl. Apparently, you have to order a fork and napkins. Very disappointed. read more

I sometimes order from here before football games and while my nephew absolutely loves the cheesesteaks, the only thing I will say is if you eat vegetarian - a veggie sub is not typically banana peppers and Swiss cheese, so I would say please up your game on your veggie sub with some real vegetables. Here's The deal : yes it's a chain sandwich place and sometimes these types of delis tend to lack that homemade feel. That said I've visited this location multiple times and they are always friendly and the sandwiches are consistently good !! Been a jersey mikes customer for a very long time. This location is a disaster. The employees were rude and condescending. The sandwiches were made incorrectly. They have one job (make a sandwich). Been to other locations were the employees were extremely polite and friendly. Management should reconsider who they hire. Terrible portions, messy sloppy sandwiches as well. We will not be returning to this location. The Parsippany location is the way to go especially if you are paying so much for a sandwich. Save your money and time! read more

This place is more like a 2 1/2 but since there are no 1/2s they definitely lean more towards 2. I think management should either get rid of all those young kids working there & hire some new ones or have a serious talk with them. For their age I think they are respectful & some are actually trying while others need some serious training. It's hit or miss here, I think I've had a sandwich from here a total of 3 times & twice they bombed if I'm not mistaken. Today I got two cheesesteak sandwiches (one chicken) & they were both JAM PACKED WITH JALAPEÑOS. That was bad enough as it is but on top of that they couldn't even cook them right. This was my first time at this Jersey Mike's . The staff was very friendly, and eager to help me choose a sub. The girl who made my sub explained the different sizes they come in, and asked me which size I prefer. Of course I chose the GIANT SIZE ORIGINAL ITALIAN SUB #13. Bigger is always better... I really liked that the Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni are cut to order right in front of you and piled high on a sub roll and then lastly dressed. My sub maker asked me if I would like my sandwich finished "Mikes Way?" I didn't know what she meant. It means your sub is finished with lettuce, tomatoes , onions, oil, vinegar, salt , pepper, and spices. That's exactly how I wanted it. I appreciated that my GIANT SUB was cut into fours. It makes it much easier to eat , and portion control. I got my sub to go , I was visiting family. I must say my Original Italian Sub was excellent. The meats and cheese were fresh and i throughly enjoyed it..... Jersey Mike's is so much better then Subway,there's definitely no comparison. Quality over price...no precut meats which you hardly get any of with Subway and God knows how long their stuff is sitting around. Jersey Mike's Is a bit pricey I will admit , but definitely worth the money. A GIANT SUB is more then enough for 2 people or 4 small kids. There menu is simple but has a little bit of everything. I noticed there was some seating. They have a rewards program . All you need to do is sign up with your phone number. Before you pay just login your phone number and that's all you have to do to get credit. No cards to swipe. Once you purchase six giant subs, the next one is free it's as easy as that. I did notice that it asks if you want to tip the person making your sandwich. It is optional, not mandatory. I saw a previous reviewer say the place was dirty when they were there. That was not the case when I was there. It was clean and neat and organized. The bathrooms were clean too. Service was good, made the food quickly. This place was a DUMP though. Entire restaurant had smushed food all over ground, trash was coming out the only trash can in the place it was so full. Even when we went to go sit down at a table with our food our table was covered in crumbs and old food. Horrible customer service. $17 for a sub and they will refuse to customize the order. Wanted a hot meatless sub. Requested a grilled veggie sub; basically the big kahuna MINUS the steak. The lady cooking was very nice and made it well. I even TIPPED her couple dollars for accommodating. But just after I paid, the guy who rang me said NEXT TIME THEY WILL NOT MAKE THE ORDER FOR ME. WOW!?! I was taken back. He said manager does not want us customizing orders. What? Isn't that customer service 101; specially with lot of places offering meatless options, you refuse to make one. This was my first time trying Jersey Mike's & the sandwich was good & I liked how efficient they were at making it. The store appears clean & I also liked that the menu was simple. What really turned me off was when I was paying w/credit card & they have the machine request that I give a tip! Why would I give a tip to a fast food place that has workers making the food for me. No one served me or went extraordinarily out of the way. What a turnoff - Not going back solely because of that. read more

It was great. I went in and there was chip pieces and some meat on the ground. My sandwich was amazing but they had no black olives or cucumbers. I got the #10 tuna 6 inch and it was delicious. The upgrade for a drink and a small bag of chips was $2. I had the rewards program and it gave me a free sub so i only paid $2 in total. I would say that it is a bit expensive but it is worth it. The workers were really nice. I would totally recommend if you want to stop buy and have a great meal. read more

Of all the sub shops in the area, they are a one of the pleasant ones to visit. I haven't had a bad experience with Jersey Mike's and have frequented the facility several times. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they are a little on the high side with their prices. If they are going to keep their pricing at that range, and since they are a chain, they should offer some sort of discounts or coupons. The staff is friendly and service is quick. The place was clean and you have some TVs on for entertainment. For a chain establishment this one is a good one. PS, get your sub Mike's Way. You won't regret it. read more

There are some Jersey Mikes better than others and you should get your sandwich from Shop Rite which is right behind this location. You pay the same price for turkey and cheese as you do for just turkey. Most locations, not this one, will give you a little extra turkey in lieu of cheese to balance out the already high price. Staff was too busy talking to each other to make orders correctly. Just left after a small rush and EVERY customer on line was annoyed. Guy cutting meat was slow and stingy. These sub's are great because of the nice portion. Not today. Girl with the toppings could not get the right toppings on the right sandwich, leading to 3 re-makes.
