Love this place! The fries a delicious, every time. You can tell that they are actually fresh cut potatoes by the taste. Doesn't matter how you order them - plain, with cheese, loaded - you will devour them. My go to sandwich is the Cheesy BBQ; the cheese, BBQ sauce, onion rings & chicken all blend so well together creating the perfect sandwich. If you're a fan of spice, the Nashville Hot is perfect for you. I find the crispy tenders to be a little on the sweet side by themselves. There's plenty of dipping sauces though that can help counteract the sweetness. The grilled tenders are just right. Can't go wrong with anything you order from here!
Been here a few times and always have had a good experience. Solid chicken sandwiches and salads plus really good (new?) chicken nuggets. Highly recommend.
This Super Chix location is located at Rockaway Mall (it's actually not in the mall but one of the stores outside it). I stopped in on a late Saturday afternoon for my first time here. Plenty of seats inside but it seemed most business was takeout or delivery. There's quite a few chicken sandwich choices, I went with the Nashville Hot Chicken. The sandwich was huge! It comes with pickles and I also asked for Cole slaw on it. The spice was just right...hot without being overpowering. Besides chicken, they also serve custard. I'll wait on that for next time!
Tried Super Chix after seeing a lot of recommendations and it really didn't disappoint! I got a salad topped with their hand breaded chicken and it was better than what you'd expect for a "fast food chain" by miles. The service isn't bad, they're pretty quick to get the food to you and you get it served at your table. The place is fairly spacious with nice booths (though some of them are unbalanced so you gotta double check before seating) and a couple screens around. I would recommend if you're looking for a good chicken place that doesn't break the bank!
Super Chix is our favorite local spot for chicken sandwiches, tenders, and fresh cut fries! With so many mouthwatering menu options there's something for everyone! Great chicken and frozen custard with freshness you can taste. This fast casual restaurant specializes in chicken sandwiches, tenders, and salads, frozen custard, and lemonade. Meals usually come out within 5 minutes during which you can grab your drink, condiments, and utensils. My favorite Chicken Sandwiches here are the Deluxe (pickles, garlic aioli, lettuce, and tomatoes) and the Nashville Hot (tossed with hot sauce and pickles). I always order the chicken as "breaded" which really means fried, but they also offer grilled. Their condiments table has every sauce they use for their chicken and they're also good for dipping fries. Then their delicious Frozen Custard is a great texture - not that melty and sticky shit. With a clean black and yellow interior and clucking good chicken, this spot offers a great meal here with no tummy aches. NOTES/TIPS: **Plenty of parking shared with Rockaway Townsquare Mall and the plazas around it. **Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I suggesting eating there if you're ordering your chicken fried. **Only non-meat entrees are their Crispy Avo Salad and Grilled Cheese (kid's menu).
This place was delicious. I got the Chicken Cordon Blue and an order of fries. Fries were fresh cut and the chicken was fresh and delicious. A step above a regular fast food place.

I ordered the Hot Honey sandwich with coleslaw added. After ordering our order came out fast and our food was fresh. *chefs kiss* The sandwich was as good as it looked (see photo). Coleslaw doesn't come on sandwich buT i made a great call by adding it. The sauce on the sandwich was sweet and not too spicy. Not every one can do "hot chicken" right...Super Chix got it just right!
I picked this spot for lunch and ordered it online. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked in and went to the counter. My food was ready and the nice man gave it to me. I ordered the grilled chicken deluxe sandwich. When I dug in the sandwich was really good! I really loved the bread it was on. All in all I had a good experience!
Super Solid Super Chix that just opened up about two months ago over here at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall near the Olive Garden. My first visit here I went with the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with Cajun Fries and couldn't have been happier with either part of my meal. Everything gets made -to- order here so there's a bit of a wait time and you definitely wanna order ahead before stopping in for a "quick" pick-up. And although it's not as spacious as the East Hanover location this place does have some seating options for your dining convenience and Whatever You Do, don't forget to grab some sauce from the sauce bar. Come And Get Your Munch On!!
After a convention nearby, I stopped off at Super Chix, now open in the former Smoke & Steer BBQ strip plaza space near the Rockaway Townsquare. This fast casual chicken restaurant offers a variety of chicken sandwiches (breaded or grilled), chicken tenders, fries, salads, kids meals, frozen custard, shakes, and Pepsi fountain drinks. It's order at the counter or online and there's ample seating in the dining area. They give you a number stand and you place on your table and your food is brought out to you. There is a sauce bar and self serve drinks. I ordered the featured sandwich which was the Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich ($10.99 plus tax), a small hand cut fries ($3.49 plus tax) and a Cold Fusion Pretzel M&Ms Frozen Custard Treat ($5.99 plus tax). The frozen custard treat was brought out first, followed by the Chicken Sandwich and Fries. The Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich was big and heavy which had a thick crisp breaded chicken cutlet smothered with a sweet spicy Korean BBQ sauce, cole slaw and pickles on a soft bun. The hand cut fries were cooked in peanut oil and had a good flavor, sort of similar to Five Guys, see the connection! The cold fusion frozen custard however was more like a vanilla soft serve which melted fast, mixed with M&Ms and pretzels, similar to a McFlurry. Overall, their featured chicken sandwich was very good as were the hand cut fries, which I dipped in the signature sauce (orange color), ranch sauce and BBQ sauce. The custard was decent here, but I would actually drive to a Freddy's Frozen Custard for a dense concrete treat. I was given a bag and box upon request to pack up my leftover lunch to eat later on.
I was so excited to try this, but I came away disappointed that it wasn't tastier. The breaded chicken sandwiches need to be amped up: more crunch, more flavor, more seasoning. It's comfort food without reward for the sin. You can't miss the sign out front. It was busy but not yet full inside on a Saturday at lunch hour. They have counter-height seating with stools, as well as booths inside and tables outside. The cashier was hospitable and direct, which I appreciated: I asked how for how many fries were in the regular size, and he showed me a fry basket; I asked for calorie counts and he tried to find them for me on the print takeout menus (they weren't on there). I appreciate that every menu item is available with either grilled or breaded chicken. I liked how everything looked. But the butterfly chicken filet just didn't have anything to it - not even salt on the breading - and the Cajun fries were hot, not spicy, especially compared to their Five Guys counterparts. At best and worst, I'd just say it's perfectly fine.
The manager on duty today was amazing! The entire staff seems great. The food is worth the drive all the way from queens on our way to Pa. Thank you for great service and food.
Chicken Slider w/ Nashville Hot sauce had a great kick! I asked for the Nashville sauce and it was no extra charge. Had a pickle to cool it off. The chicken was made to order and was juicy and delicious. You can get grilled chicken as well. It was the perfect size instead of the bigger sandwich. Hubby got the Asian sesame salad w/ grilled chicken. Perfect amount of dressing and peanuts. They play fun music and have lots of screens to keep you occupied if you want to stay on top of sports. Be sure to sign up for rewards, they add up quickly! Also, if you are on Fetch you can rack up extra points. Only thing is you leave smelling like the fryer, but it's not necessarily a bad thing Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly! One of the best chicken places I've been to the sandwiches we're really good. They told me everything is homemade here even though sauces so definitely recommend this place. I love that. They have different options for sauces and they're all unlimited and it's really cool vibe inside. definitely get the custard as well. It was really delicious and the fries were amazing. I had a friend raving about how good the chicken was at this place and I was looking for a new place to try so there I was. From the look of the food, I was excited. The sandwich had a nice melted cheese and looked really sauced up with a thick piece of chicken. Things started falling apart, literally, because of the bun around my burger. A bun is supposed to be two piece but they didn't cut mine in half. The bread was just open like Pac Mans mouth taking a bite of my sandwich filling. Even if I took it apart myself, the sandwich filling were much too powerful for the bread as you couldn't get a good grip of things with the bread. I ended up scrunching the bread to keep my hold on it. Some might love it or feel value that they're getting all that in their meal. I consider it an unbalanced sandwich where the bread should complement it just like any of the other ingredients. On top of that, they had a self serve condiment station. That is very nice to have as I can change up the taste of my food how I want. I wish I was not at the back of the restaurant. I placed my order, waited close to the door as I was just taking it out. I saw the order before mine, he had sauce cups when he got up and I found it in the back of the room. So I walk over. I am in the middle of saucing some cups when they started calling my name to pickup in the front. I heard my name twice before rushing to the front to get it and then return to the back of the restaurant. I get that a lot goes into the placement of tables or utensils, but that was inconvenient for me going there for the first time. The condiment station had a good variety of sauce dispensers that you can fill sauce cups with. It had utensils and napkins or their own drink dispenser. A good lineup. I just thought the sauces had a strange liquid consistency. It may have just been how it was made that day but I wasn't a fan of it. The last part of my order was some fried pickles. That was as expected, where they slice pickles, batter them, and deep fry them. If you like pickles they are pretty good. They give a lot so I would say expect a shareable size. Since they're battered, it's not bad to sauce them up. Ultimately the chicken here was very good and my friend was right about it. But other parts of the experience could have been better. I did mention some of my gripes to my friend and he says he really enjoys the tenders and the fries here. So maybe I need another try as the actual chicken was fine read more

Honestly, first time here and had a pretty crappy experience. We stopped by the dispensary next door on our way to our campground, inside they had coupons for Super Chix and the staff raved about it, so we decided to stop in. We ordered 6 chicken tenders and a large fry TO GO. We get the bag with our order and we see the container of chicken tenders buried under greasy fries that were just thrown right into the bag. No container, no sort of sleeve to catch the grease, literally threw the fries straight into the bag on top of the container of chicken.. so now that whole container is greasy and we have to dig it out of the bag. We found this weird and disgusting so we asked the staff if the fries are supposed to be in a container or just thrown inside the bag and they said they're supposed to be thrown in the bag.. I've never been to a place that packages greasy food TO GO like this. We had to double bag the food in the car because the whole bottom of the bag was soaked in grease. It's pretty ridiculous and if this is really how they are out here serving food, the company needs to reevaluate that. Who wants to pull a container of food out of a bag soaked in grease because a greasy food was straight up dumped on top.. So disappointed and disgusting. Just wasted our money. read more
If you're craving a good fried chicken sandwich this is definitely the spot to check out! They had a variety of chicken sandwiches to choose from that come in fried or grilled. They also had chicken tenders, salads and I even noticed a friend avocado sandwich for a vegetarian option on their menu. I opted for the classic buffalo and ranch fried chicken sandwich which was delicious and the chicken was perfectly fried and crispy. I also got a side of Cajun fries, which I also enjoyed and they had some different options for fry flavors as well. The service was friendly and speed of service was reasonable. It is counter service then they bring the food to your table. They also have a sauce bar to add any extra! I didn't get to try the custard this time but they have a lot of flavors to choose from and I definitely will try it next time! read more
The 1st time i tried super Chix in Rockaway did not do it justice. I had just gotten out of work and rushing to get home. I had ordered take out but didn't realize it took so long to prepare. The restaurant was not busy at all it was during the restaurant lull times. The cashier who took my order was a young man, he just took my order and didn't offer the promotional discount card they were featuring. When I took the food home it didn't hold up well at all.... I believe because of the potato bun it's not sturdy enough for takeout that was my thought. So my husband didn't like it at all. Weeks later probably a month or two later we returned. It was my daughter and I. We were in the area had just spent a nice day together, and needed lunch. We arrived around 1pmish and it had some people but not full . The place always looks clean and spacious. The cashier was a young lady this time. (not sure why it's hard for young adults to smile and say hello) but regardless we placed our order, and I wanted to try the food as soon as it came out. And let me tell you what a difference, there are some places where the food is great in or out, but Super Chix I truly recommend you eat there! It was delicious!! The Chicken sandwich was nice and crispy, no soggy wet bun. Don't be in a rush just sit in and enjoy the meal. So I ordered the Cheesy BBQ Sandwich and my daughter the Buffalo Ranch Sandwich. We shared an order of fries and had the home brewed ice tea. I definitely have to take my husband to try it there so it redeems itself with him. But I hope you get to stop and try it especially during the busy holiday shopping take a breath, sit and enjoy a meal. Enjoy!!! read more

Awesome chicken sandwich place! Fast and friendly. You order at the counter, get a table number and they bring food to your table. They have a sauce bar for condiments. Menu has many chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, hand-cut fries you can get flavored, salads, frozen custard. The chicken sandwich was perfectly breaded with pickle and signature sauce. Fries were delicious, custard was good too. Best part is its open on Sunday's lol. You should give them a shot! read more

Not terrible food... not too much flavor altho it looked like it would be bursting with flavor... cheese fries were mediocre with light cheese.....chicken sandwich was HUGE but super sloppy..... might go back and try again but it just reminds me of a chicken themed "five guys" - read more

I didn't know what to expect and was very pleasantly surprised. The nashville hot sando was among my favorites that i've had. I also ordered fries- with the cajun seasoning. They were a little crispier than I like, but still very good. I like the fact that they have a sauce station so you can get extra sauce for your sando or fries. I also like the fact that they have grilled or friend chicken breasts- this gives you a lot more options. I am looking forward to going back. read more

I think this is such a cute and adorable little chicken shop, and and hospitality is SUPER great! (get it). The hand-cut fries are BEYOND amazing and so is the Cold Fusion. I do think the chicken can be a little less fat however because i could barely bit's it off! Other than that I think is definitely a place I will go to again with my family. read more

The good: The sandwich, fries, fried pickles, and vanilla milkshake were really good. The service was a little slow but friendly. There are plenty of good sized tables. The bad: Like many order at the counter places, the tables were all dirty. read more
