What a difference a year makes. Ledgewood Farm Store used to be the go-to location for fresh, good looking & tasting vegetables, fruit and a few other staples. Prices were sometimes a little higher than the local grocery stores, but the quality made up for it. Fast forward to now. Prices have increased while quality has significantly declined. Prior to the change in management in 2024, the store carried both common & some less common fruits & vegetables. It gave the opportunity to try new varieties. Now, it's all standard fare, nothing special. I bought lemons the other day. Very small and pretty sad looking at a cost of 6/$3. The next day I went to ShopRite and found, for the same price, larger and better looking citrus. At this point, Ledgewood Farm Store has seen me for the last time. Their focus is NOT on making the customer happy, but in increasing costs while sacrificing quality. Bye Bye, LFS. read more

I stopped by here one night this week to pick up a sandwich for dinner. I had been to the produce side many times, but this was the first time at the deli. I ordered a Turkey Sloppy Joe which was probably not the best idea for the first time here. I was expecting the typical 3 slice of bread SJ, but this was served as a long sub. While it was different, it was still very good. They use Boars Head cold cuts so the turkey was good quality. The sandwich was also huge! I'll be back and next time I'll try The Italian! read more

I haven't seen many people comment on the actual grocery aisle. Unfortunately, majority of their veggies and fruits are more expensive than Walmart brand. Ive definitely been to other farmers markets with great prices and fresh produce. I've purchased many fruits from the store and they managed to go fully sour after three days. Once spoke with the owner and he suggested eating your fruits immediately when you go home (which does not sound like the best response to having just old produce for sale). I personally purchase groceries that could hopefully last me for two weeks so very inconvenient. I want to love this spot but they definitely need a rebrand read more

I purchase from this store often for its fresh and low cost items. However, today I bought something that smells like it's gone bad. It's either the collard greens or romaine lettuce. Also when looking for fresh ginger I found some of it soggy. I'm so disappointed and considering not visiting this establishment again. This is my go to spot in the area for produce. The price and quality are better than ShopRite. The left side of the store is a deli that includes fresh fish and sushi in addition to the deli. The sandwiches are large for the price and they use Boars Head brand. There are chicken breast and salads also. I eat the sushi frequently for lunch and it is always fresh. Some nice ethnic foods you can not find elsewhere. Better fish than the supermarket. Have some healthy salads. They have a problem with their quinoa salad. Tends to be sold old and gets slimy. Last time I only purchased because the server said it was made that morning. Still slimy. Apparently they mix the old leftover salad with the newly made salad. These people are not trained in food safety. This salad should be made less moist, what is called a lower water activity. read more

Stay away if you're looking for a quality deli sandwich with premium meats. They advertise Boar's Head products all over the place, including their sandwich menu board. If you buy cold cuts by the pound, you're ok. But if you go there for a sandwich, they pull the old switcharoo on you and make your sandwich with the cheap meats they have on the side. Ledgewood farms is great. Tons of fresh produce, reasonably priced, and amazing sushi. I've been going here for years, and the old man who used to make sushi used to chuckle at me, just because I went there so often for the Firecracker sushi roll. He's no longer working there as far as I can tell, but this sushi is still legit. And I'm a bit of a foodie, I've been to sushi places all over the tri state area. Sushi Samba, Sushi Lounge, no one can touch this place. Even if you buy the packaged, premade sushi it's awesome. And I think after 6pm, the premade sushi goes on sale 20-30%. This is my goto store for fresh fruits and vegetables at a good price. Bananas, avocados, peppers and lettuce especially. The deli counter service is excellent - always friendly and actually execute my orders as requested. There is a large fish display. And they also have items such as milk, eggs and various other imported sauces and good from other areas and countries. Even their flower area offers value. The produce is high quality and the prices are amazing, HOWEVER, on more than one occasion I've had the cashiers rudely toss my groceries in the bags. Deli area without a doubt needs more help, I was in there today and they were two guys making sandwiches for a customer and you had five people waiting online to be helped. The produce is certainly not as fresh as they make you think. I've had plenty turn moldy after a day or two. So, I only buy if I'm going to use same day. They always say the fish just came in the same day. Hah! I was looking at some red snapper last week and it definitely was not fresh... Cloudy eyes and slightly fishy smell. It gets worse: they just were investigated for credit card fraud. I personally had two credit cards hacked and my wife had one card number stolen by some thief at the store. I know this because American Express traced it back to this place. Agree with reviewers about the grumpy owners and nasty cashiers. I've tried to make small talk with them and rarely do they smile. This store is divided into two sections, one section selling fruits and vegetables and another section, behind a wall, selling meat and seafood. I shopped in the former section and avoided the latter because the fish odor was overwhelming. They have a good variety of fruit at reasonable prices. This store has produce that goes bad within 2 days!! Although much cheaper than shoprite its notworth it. I purchase strawberries they were badd in 2 days I went to take them back and they wou not credit me. The girls behind the registers were rude unprofessional and slammed a bucket of strawberries back at me. The owner of the store was not available to speak to so I will be going in there again. Very good, Except for the red swastika in the parking lot. I had called the police about removing it and was told , that is the owner's responsibility ! (Unbelievable) I went inside the store and showed the manager what had to be removed and for some reason they didn't know what is was!? (Seriously) I had asked them for the # of the owner of the parking lot! I had left a message about the matter. I will not be back till it's removed!!! My next step is to call the news. What a shame in such a nice area!!! Update: after getting in touch with the owner of the parking lot, the Swastika will be removed immediately. I would like to Thank her for taking this Seriously! I have been shopping here for years. Not only do they have a great selection of fruits and veggies , although I wish they were organic, they do have a great selection of organic and non GMO snacks and sides. I have to disagree with the other reviewer who said the staff was grumpy. I have gone here at least 100 times and never get that impression. Some keep to themselves but never outright grumpy. I do wish that some customers would bag their stuff as they are checking out. Holds up the line. read more

I agree with the other reviewers about the check out personnel. The produce seems fresh and is cheap but I have never seen organic, which I prefer. I get an uneasy gut feeling here about the source of the produce; like I should be concerned about non regulated pesticides use etc. the fish has been good and is mainly fresh/- not previously frozen or farm raised though. read more
