When it comes to the sandwiches, I usually have no complaints. I like the combinations they have and the portion sizes. I think they taste pretty good. My complaint here, with this particular location, is the service. The staff member seemed pretty annoyed about me wanting to add toppings to my sandwich, isn't that what their selling? I noticed that he only took out a portion of chicken when I ordered two sandwiches, so I tried not to be rude, and just reminded him that I ordered two. I love the sandwiches here, but a few days ago, I had the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. So the issue here is the service. I ordered 3 giant sandwiches. From the get-go the staff member looked like he did not want to be there, looked annoyed when I placed my order. As he was cooking the meat for the sandwich, I told him that I want to add additional things like tomatoes and onions in the sandwich, he responded by saying he knows and he gotta cook the stuff first. I said okay, but before we know it, he wrapped up the sandwich and bagged it and I told him that I didn't get to add my toppings yet. He looked really annoyed and began unwrapping the sandwich, one of his coworkers saw this and took over while he makes the other 2 sandwiches I ordered, but we didn't know which sandwich he was making since we wanted different toppings in each sandwich, I guess he got annoyed at the confusion and just disappeared. I went into the location during lunch time around 12:30 and there were 4 workers that looked very stressed out and overwhelmed. One of the ladies snapped at a customer who just wanted to add mustard to her sandwich stating there was" a lot going on ". She made the customer feel really bad. I saw they had a lot of tickets for online order but with 4 people it seemed doable. There was one guy there who seemed extremely new, but he was doing a great job. I don't understand how they were so overwhelms and apparently understaff by their exact words. I won't be coming back to this location because of the customer service and the lack of maturity among the staff members. Terrible experience, time and time again. This place is extremely unorganized and messy. The last time I went to this place was 1 year ago and I had a really bad experience. I would like to say the service is really really bad but......it's not their fault ! There are always a bunch of kids there with no supervision. I've been to this location a few times and if you can get over the fact that no one acknowledges you walking in And they are having personal conversations while you wait the food was ok. But today was bad ... worse service ever ..... I had to tell the kid not to put lettuce in my sandwich because the lettuce was brown. Actually been here a few times and so far it's been fairly decent. I find it to be better than Subway and Jimmy Johns by far. Unfortunately I had a bad experience when I was paying for my food today. The bill was $41 and change but when I pulled out my money to pay I realized I only had two 20 bills. So I pulled out my credit card not realizing I placed the two twenties on the counter. As I'm going through the motions to pay via credit card, the cashier reaches over and tries to pull the money away. As she was doing so she began folding it into her hand. I luckily noticed it before she could pull it off. When I said hey I'm paying with credit not cash why you touching my money, she just said my bad. I was going to blow her spot up but I think she felt horrible as it was. She clearly knew I was paying with credit as she told me what button to press yet she reached for my cash. Take it how you want but I call that bad business. Revisited the said location on several occasions and was very satisfied overall. However on the last visit I noticed what appeared to be a hair on the tomatoes. I Told the manager behind the counter what I observed. He just removed the tomatoes that it was touching and continued to serve me with the same gloves and took from the same batch of tomatoes. Absolutely love their sandwiches. Unfortunately this is the first time I ordered from this location. My sandwich arrived and I opened it to 3 hairs on my food. I called to make them aware and the guy seems very bothered. He did offer a free sandwich (basically to shut me up). I appreciated that but after seeing the hairs I definitely don't want to eat a sandwich. I did decline it stating I didn't want a free sandwich I just want to make you aware to avoid it in future. He then proceeded in a nasty tone ( again seemed bothered). No apology and rudely stated they wear hairnets. This is not my opinion on his tone because my co workers were their to witness the call. Poor customer service in my eyes. I didn't want to resort to review but the nasty tone on the phone made it easier to write. An apology would have been nice and appreciated. Reading the reviews and again the usual Staten Island haters out there. I was surprised to see that there hasn't been the "no Boars Head" comments to come out yet, but give it time. I've been coming here since the first day that they opened and probably a bit more than I really should, but the food is refreshingly good. They offer a good amount of variety on their menu, the sandwiches are very generous in size and portion. The first time in I made the mistake of ordering a Giant and it was way too much too eat and i'm not the skinniest person. The food is good, the people are friendly, and they remember faces. I prefer the hot sandwiches over the cold ones only because I think the bread tastes better in those sandwiches. I will say if you want food from your neighborhood deli you will not like it here as you will pay a bit more but the quality of the food will be fresher than your deli, but that will be reflective. read more

So far I've had the philly cheese steak (I just ask them to leave the jalapeños off) love spice but this is weird on a cheesesteak. The buffalo chicken cheese steak also yum. The fact they offer GLUTEN FREE sandwiches is amazing! Not only that, they understand people have serious reasons for not consuming gluten, so they really go above and beyond to ensure there is no cross contamination. I have been to places that offer gluten free and do not bother to ensure there is no CC, which is HORRIBLE! However, if you are going to eat the gluten free sandwich, and you're not celiac, and CC is not an issue for you, just let them know that CC is not an issue, this way you can save them some extra time and work :) Four Stars because I found it a bit pricey for a sandwich shop, however the staff and food is good! read more

Ugh. One of the guys behind the counter was wearing sanitary gloves BUT wiped his gloved hands on his pants and apron THEN stuck his hand in the lettuce and moved the lettuce around. He wasn't making a sandwich, just wanted to touch the lettuce, I guess. I usually like lettuce and tomatoes on my sandwiches, but not today . I had already decided against the lettuce today because it looked brown and wilted, now I know why. The guy who made my sandwich didn't do anything obviously unsanitary so I will eat my (nearly $10) sandwich after I add my own lettuce and tomato at home. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because the quality of the roast beef is better than subway's roast beef. I like that they sliced the meat fresh, but I won't be back.
