The kids were not happy with our lunch selection one day and were melting down, so we came here as this JM's location was nearby. It was packed with customers (Saturday lunch, go figure). The line moved very slowly and there was a lot of chaos behind the counter. A bunch of people ordered grilled sandwiches which bogged things down a bit. We were in line for what seemed like forever, even the mobile order people were waiting. I got something simple, a regular-sized ham & provolone. It was made quickly, so I am not sure why everything else took so long. I will say that even in the chaos, the staff kept the sandwich building area nice and tidy. However, the cashier became quite proactive about getting me to check out before my sandwich was even finished--I wonder why--perhaps to be efficient? Or perhaps so his sandwich making colleague could size up my gratuity before finishing making my sandwich. Well, based on the following experience, you be the judge. While the cashier was ringing up my order--the keypad suggested a default tip amount beginning at 22%. Really? Ok fine. So I manually entered a gratuity of $2 because I thought that was generous for putting together a $17 sandwich. Instead of being grateful for my $2 tip, the cashier began taunting me by repeating "boo boo boo" directed to his colleague before I even collected my receipt from him. I ordered two subs online through the Jersey mikes app. It was an hour before my delivery driver arrived. When she arrived she approached my door slowly. I opened expecting to receive my food but that's when she said oops. I have the wrong order I'm going to go back and get the right order for you and I'll be back. She never came back. I called the store and the guy who answered stated the the manager had just walked out on the job and there is nothing he could do for me. I have only eaten here once before this trip but this place is the best, the bread is so delicious and all meat, cheese and veggies taste and appear very fresh, they put a oil/vinegar sauce on all their sandwiches and it is fantastic. Prices are a bit high, I think the cheapest sandwich is $9.50 but in my mind worth it, I love Davannis and jimmy Johns too but this is right up there with one of my faves!! I am a regular customer at the St. Louis Park Jersey Mikes. I stoped in on Aug. 26 and was told the AC was inoperable. The heat index was at 106 degrees and the employees were perspiring due to the temperature inside the store. They have had this AC problem for the past several months. The owners should have told the employees to take the day off with pay. It was an unhealthy environment for the employees and for the patrons. The franchise owners Michael McGuire, Joseph Moll, and Joe Nachtrab should be ashamed. I will not patronize this Jersey Mikes again. read more

Had to hit up Costco for gas and my son and I decided that we'd get something to eat on the way back to taking him home. Having had Jersey Mike's on the east coast, I thought it was a safe bet. So, I had him look through the menu while I pumped gas. When I climbed inside the vehicle, my son had made his selections and I did the same. We also ordered coffee from Caribou, since we were in the area and we love their Ho-Ho-Mint Mocha. Well, my son went inside close to the time when the food should have been ready. He was told that the sandwiches weren't ready and one of the guys behind the counter started taking other people's orders who had walked into the restaurant. Well, after some time and my son becoming agitated from the lack of service, it was "revealed" that the sandwiches had, in fact, been ready the entire time my son was inside the store. We're road eaters, so we started to eat our sandwiches. My son got the Italian, and I got the Cheese steak (you know my love of these). Well, neither sandwich had any flavor. My son asked for oil and vinegar to be on the sandwich, along with seasonings. Well, there was nothing on one half of the sandwich and the other half was DRENCHED in oil. He didn't finish eating that half of the sandwich. My cheese steak came with peppers and onions. I can say this because I SAW them, but they had no taste. This was the most flavorless sandwich I've ever had in my life. The bread was way too soft on both sandwiches, as well. I couldn't stop apologizing to my son for the bad experience. He was feeling ill by the time we got to his place and he told his dad that he was going to lie down. I told him to have a bit of milk to help calm his stomach. We will NEVER be back. read more

We love the Big Kahuna sandwich. Today we ordered it through Door Dash because we were too busy with work to go get it. It cost us $36.98 for one giant sandwich to split, TWO bags of chips and one pop. Hey, we're the ones doing it through Door Dash so we didn't mind paying the extra fees. BUT--when the bag was delivered and we opened it up, it was missing a bag of chips. If we're paying $2 for a bag of chips and looking forward to eating them and then they're not in there..that is a problem! It's not so much about the $2 as it is about the principle of it. BUT---the real issue is the girl that answered the phone and how she handled it. I was kind at first and told her what happened and she said in a very snotty tone immediately, "That's not our problem. You ordered through Door Dash and that's a third party." I said, "Hold on wait. It's your responsibility at Jersey Mike's to put what we ordered into the bag. The dasher didn't take the bag of chips, the bag was sealed with your stickers." Her reply, "Not our problem, it's was through a third party." I then got irate and told her I'm writing a review and I normally never write bad reviews unless it's REALLY bad. And her attitude and unwillingness to help in any sort of way was appalling! I wasn't asking for my money back or anything, she was just being passive, very rude, and snotty. We might love the Big Kahuna, but not if we have to deal with people like that. I'll drive further to a different location if I want that sandwich. She was awful and I will NEVER go back. Tonight my family and I stopped into what has become, hands down, our favorite sandwich shop, Jersey Mikes in SLP. To say that Lavelle and Nastasja gave us good service would be a gross understatement. It was exceptional! From the minute we walked in the door to the moment we left they were absolutely invested in making us feel comfortable, welcome, and seen. It was master class service. but even more than that, it was elevated humanity. I am utterly wowed by these two. They deserve every accolade they receive and I hope that promotions and raises are on their way for these two treasures. We watched 7+ people get served and leave the store before us. I asked the sandwichistas what they like to eat, and they encouraged me to try the steak chipotle. While I do love the melted cheese and grilled steak, the bread tasted a bit too airy, didn't hold the insides very well, and was a bit bland. I've never had Jersey Mike's before and so I was hesitant to come here. However I had the American Classic sandwich here and I really really actually liked it. My partner had the famous Philly cheese steak hot sub and that was so so so good! I like that they have a variety of hot and cold sandwiches which is really cool. You can build your own or take their specialty sandwiches the way it's already made. The staff at this location were very friendly and they mentioned that we could bring a sandwich to the movie theaters which is nearby so that was cool to know. They have parking nearby, plenty nearby. They also have seating on the side and in front so you can enjoy your sub in the nice weather. They have sort of three sub sizes: mini which feeds one person, regular which feeds 2, but you could easily eat it in one setting if you're really hungry or save it for later, and the giant which feeds 4 people. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a chill sub place to eat at with a variety of cold and hot subs. read more

I said again I've never been here and don't know what that means. Over all will probably not come back. Of all the chain sandwich spots around, I like this one the best. A lot of it has to do with the fact that they really only make their cold sandwiches 1 way..."Mike's Way" with plenty of lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar, dried oregano, salt and pepper. This results in a tangy dressed consistency regardless of the meat(s) that you choose to fill it with. I find that with other sandwich places that have a dozen different types of dressings and come up with some new sandwich of the moment every other week that they all seem unfocused. This place does it essentially 1 way and because of that consistency, they seem to have perfected it. This is also one of the only chain places that I know of that has roast beef that is truly rare. There is nothing quite as gross as ordering a roast beef sub somewhere and seeing them put on what looks like brown, well done shoe leather as the roast beef. Not here, not ever. If you are not into oil and vinegar dressed sandwiches, you will undoubtedly not like this place. My experience with their service has been somewhat hit and miss and there are times that I have had fast, friendly and really helpful service and other times where it has been fairly lackluster but in the end, for me it is about the food and this place definitely beats out the other chains for me fairly easily. read more

I first tried Jersey Mike's in California and loved it, but never realized that it was available right here in Minnesota! My boyfriend and I stopped at Costco for a grocery store run and randomly saw Jersey Mike's so decided to stop in. They offer both cold and hot sandwiches. With the cold sandwiches, you're able to add whatever toppings you desire, however their range of toppings is quite limited. They definitely lack the huge selection of sauces that you can find at Subway, but I find that their hot sandwiches are pretty tasty! I've tried the Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak and the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak. The only thing about these hot sandwiches is that they're already prepared a certain way and you don't get the option to add additional toppings like you do for the cold sandwiches. The Bacon Ranch Chicken Cheese Steak was really tasty and I liked it a lot. The Big Kahuna Cheese Steak is comparable to a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich that you can find elsewhere, but I didn't find it that amazing. They also have patio seating to the side and I went on a beautiful, sunny day so I enjoyed sitting out there. It's a great place to stop by if you're on your way to Costco or some stores in the general vicinity. read more

The bread is really good (thick and chewy), they slice the deli meat in front of you, and I like the combination of Italian herbs and oil. It's a fast, casual sandwich chain. Order at the counter, sandwich appears a minute or so later. I opted for the chipotle philly which consists of grilled "steak", peppers and onions with chipotle mayo. I was not offered the option to have the sandwich on wheat bread, which I would have taken. It was a substantial sandwich for a regular, if you feel you need to order the giant size you should either be splitting it with someone else, saving half for dinner or punching another hole in your belt. It came heavily loaded down with the mayo which I found to be way too much. Service seemed very mechanical, write down order, hand over money, get sandwich. Nothing enticed me to want to hurry back for another sampling. An attempt to create a South Jersey sub shop, but without Snooki or her buds I'm not sure it can really be the same. The big diff here compared to Jimmy John or Subway is the bread. This is closer to a Jersey-style like I had as a kid (eons ago)--Wider, and a bit softer than JJ's but not reduced to Wonder Bread like Subway. It won't be the same as back East, but it's a fair reproduction. I noted that all of the cold cuts are sliced to order. Seems like a good touch. But I tried the Philly. If they could pull that off I'd have to come back. But, while arguably better than most Midwest attempts at a cheese steak, it still needs work. To their credit, they grill the steak to order, which itself is a non-negotiable factor in this genre. But, it could have been crisped up a little more. It could have used a bit more meat. They don't have any way to ask for lettuce/tomato (although a purist might scoff at that). I didn't taste the sprinkle of oregano I would have expected. And, I wish they'd offered me the option for provolone instead of defaulting to 'Wiz (if I try another I will take the initiative and ask, but I suspect that might not be as easy a task for the high-school grill master). Still, all in all, it won't satisfy any purist, but it's not a bad attempt. I will try again in a while (and remember to ask for prov!). read more

Here are some tips to save money and get what you will like: First get a giant sub with someone ( if you have someone with you) only 13! For a big sub plenty for 2 people! Don't get chips or a drink. If you like a hot sandwich with a little spice ( really not much and it's delicious) get a 43 you will love it! If you like a cold sub get the roast beef I forgot the number maybe it's 7?
