The photo is of the updates as well as them canceling my order

I ordered two subs online through the Jersey mikes app. It was an hour before my delivery driver arrived. When she arrived she approached my door slowly. I opened expecting to receive my food but that's when she said oops. I have the wrong order I'm going to go back and get the right order for you and I'll be back. She never came back. I called the store and the guy who answered stated the the manager had just walked out on the job and there is nothing he could do for me. This location on park plaza blvd in St. Louis park Mn is a joke to me at this point. No food and no word on my refund as of yet. I'm deleting this Jersey Mikes app and they never have to worry about my business again.

#8 Club Sub w/onions, tomato, lettuce, and "the juice"

First time ever at a Jersey Mikes! The crew working were all very friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and prepped nicely. Thank you for a nice yummy lunch!

A crappy storefront photo.

For me, my trip to Jersey Mike's was just A-OK... This shop has a robust selection of cold and hot subs, and I had some trouble trying to figure out what I wanted. I asked the sandwichistas what they like to eat, and they encouraged me to try the steak chipotle. While I do love the melted cheese and grilled steak, the bread tasted a bit too airy, didn't hold the insides very well, and was a bit bland. I would consider to returning Jersey Mike's, but with all the incredible sandwich/ sub joints in the Twin Cities, it won't be soon.

Love the rare roast beef here

Of all the chain sandwich spots around, I like this one the best. A lot of it has to do with the fact that they really only make their cold sandwiches 1 way..."Mike's Way" with plenty of lettuce, tomato, onion, oil and vinegar, dried oregano, salt and pepper. This results in a tangy dressed consistency regardless of the meat(s) that you choose to fill it with. I find that with other sandwich places that have a dozen different types of dressings and come up with some new sandwich of the moment every other week that they all seem unfocused. This place does it essentially 1 way and because of that consistency, they seem to have perfected it. This is also one of the only chain places that I know of that has roast beef that is truly rare. There is nothing quite as gross as ordering a roast beef sub somewhere and seeing them put on what looks like brown, well done shoe leather as the roast beef. Not here, not ever. If you are not into oil and vinegar dressed sandwiches, you will undoubtedly not like this place. My experience with their service has been somewhat hit and miss and there are times that I have had fast, friendly and really helpful service and other times where it has been fairly lackluster but in the end, for me it is about the food and this place definitely beats out the other chains for me fairly easily.

Today I tried their Roast Beef on Weck, which is carved roast beef on a type of roll called a Weck (a Kaiser-style roll topped with coarse salt and caraway seeds.). The restaurant was busy, and this is not a trendy place! I'd be surprised if there was anyone in the restaurant who was not of Medicare age (which also describes me; I'm not being ageist, just truthful). This is something that is available for lunch, during the week (not on weekends). Previously, I wanted to order this before. It was at the beginning of the lunch hour, so unfortunately the end pieces were cooked well-done. I asked if they would cut from the center, which is much more rare, but they wouldn't do that. This time, we came later and I could see that the roast beef was gloriously rare, which is what I like. The sandwich was quite enjoyable because it was juicy and flavorful. It comes with a side of cole slaw which is vinegar based (which I liked, but isn't traditional in the Midwest). It's difficult to find good, rare roast been in the Twin Cities, so this was another good find. My wife had the matzo ball soup, which remains high quality. The beef on weck sandwich (with coleslaw) was nearly $20, which is a bit on the expensive side. The service is spotty. It depends upon who is your waitstaff person (I knew it would be slow based on our previous experience with this person).

On weekdays, it's usually quick to get in and out! There is always plenty of parking on the residential streets nearby. You order at the register, and they'll call out your name when your order is ready. They have some seating indoors and outdoors, but it's a relatively small space so it does get crowded on the weekends but I've never had to wait too long to find a place to sit! Breakfast is served until 11 on weekdays and noon on weekends and lunch is served all day! Their menu is labeled clearly with what's vegan and vegetarian. They do have an option to sub for gluten-free bread for any sandwich, although I haven't personally tried the gluten free bread. Marty's breakfast sandwiches are an absolute must try! Their focaccia has a fluffy interior and lightly crispy exterior, and the toasted sesame seeds on it add a nice layer to the flavor. The eggs are perfectly fluffy, and the cheese is perfectly gooey and melty. It is, in my opinion, one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the cities. I also think the hash browns are THE best hash browns you can buy. They're house-made, with the potatoes grated more finely than your typical hash brown. They have a fluffy interior, crispy exterior, and are salted to perfection. I like them with a side of aioli, but they're also good on their own! I would highly recommend going to Marty's, and especially recommend their breakfast!

On one side is a meat market with a variety of cuts of steaks, lamb, and other meats, which all looked fresh and quite nice. They also have a variety of items such as canned goods, pasta, eggs, etc. on the shelves opposite the meat counter. The entire place is quite sunny, pleasant, and cozy. On the other side is the eat-in, take-out deli sandwiches, that are made to order. The quality of the ingredients is excellent. The bread is freshly made (crispy baguette type) and you have a choice of Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Tuna Salad, Smoked Ham, or Corned Beef. All sandwiches are $16.50 each (including tax) and come with a choice of mayonnaise, spicy stone ground mustard, red leaf lettuce, thin sliced red onion, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, raw grated horseradish, pickled jalapeno, and roasted bell pepper. The default includes all toppings so if you don't want everything, be sure to specify what you do NOT want. Surprisingly, they do not carry any diet soda, nor do they stock any national brands (only local pop). There is a large menu on the wall, and you order at the counter and pick up the order (no table service). The food was attractively presented, and very, very good. My only gripe (besides the lack of diet pop) is that it's on the expensive side for lunch. Two sandwiches, a couple of bags of chips, and a couple of cans of pop will easily top $40, although I'd say the quality is top-notch.

I was on the street in front of Clancy's when one of their customers was mis-identified as an officer of an organization that was terrorizing Minneapolis. It had nothing to do with Clancy's! As I tried to get to my car, people yelled the most obscene and disgusting epitaphs at the couple in front of me. I was just walking down Grand Avenue. They were even spitting at this innocent individual. As a liberal who marched for civil rights and against the war in Vietnam during the 1960s and 1970s, I was horrified. Blaming Clancy's is ignorant, and an integral part of how this country is dismantling. Clancy's Meats & Fish is important to our neighborhood, and represents the kindness and empathy that has been representative of Minnesota for decades. Give them your support.

They have a ton of cheesesteak options, I went with the pastrami for my first foray into PaPa Q's happiness quotient. We walked around the store while my meal was being prepped. They had tons of local hot sauces and salsas and it was all good stuff. About 5 minutes later they gave me a sleeve of sub and it reminded me of when I was a kid and I would go with my dad to TOGO's in California and their awesome subs with avocado on it. Good times. They said I could get a little side salad too, so my wonderful wife suggested the broccoli, bacon and kale salad. It was a total hit. Not to much bacon, but you could tell it was there. The sandwich had a lot of coleslaw on top of not too salty pastrami and a chewy bread. A toasted bread would be my only recommendation to make it better, but this was a solid hoagie. Great service and a local place. I am glad we went! Try it out!
