I LOVE Jersey Mikes amazing staff at the azalea square & university blvd location :) I wasn't fond of one location which is the one on old trolley road because our first (and most likely last) time going there was not too long ago when it had only been open for like a month? A certain worker handled physical money, then cut our meat with the same gloves on, got mad and didn't speak to us when we said thank you after we kindly asked him to change his gloves. I drive for work and always make sure to stop at this location. The general manager Dawn and his crew are always so so spectacular. Weather it's the middle of lunch or I'm the last customer of the night I am always treated with such respect and feel so welcomed in, and they work like such a welloiled machine together to get you through the line much faster than nearby locations Dawn especialy is the best Mikes manager in the business. I am always on the hunt for the best Philly anywhere, and never did I think a contender would come from a chain operation, but here we are. The Big Kahuna always satisfies. They always slice everything fresh and you feel like you're getting something a bit healthier even when you're eating quick. The other day I pulled out on to University full of traffic. While Jersey Mike's is only a couple lights from the hospital, I decided to call in my order to get it started. I pulled in and they were finishing my order. I'm not a big chain guy. Meanwhile, when you need a quick meal there's nothing wrong with visiting a place like Jersey Mikes. This particular location impressed us with friendly service (seems like a lot of Charleston Southern students work here) and a quick turnaround on orders. And, as you can expect the quality blows away places like Subway (yuck) and is at par with Firehouse across the street. Sure you'll pay more for a sub here, but you're getting quality and flavor, which a spot like Subway can't offer. Why come to Jersey Mikes? I can think of many reasons and better ones than just their brewed sweet tea is good. We ate for lunch and weren't disappointed, but I have to admit I also enjoy places like Jason's Deli. On the other hand, Mike's blows away Jimmy Johns. What should you order? That's personal preference. However, our favorites are the Philly Cheesesteak, Meatball Sub and my favorite creation (they'll charge you for a standard three meat sub) a Turkey, Salami and Pepperoni with provolone. Try these three subs and this could be your regular lunch spot. And, remember you're going to pay more here, but that's the cost of quality, flavor and portions that will fill you up. read more

Now let me start by saying that I've only been to Jersey once but I would definitely cross a long toll bridge to get to Jersey Mike's. Their succulent sandwiches are made simply from scratch just like an old deli. And also they have created a sub in the tub for all you Carb Counters out there. This completely innovative way of thinking created a new way of eating subs. Their meats and vegetables are fresh and are not dull or bland like some Subways. Their customer service is ok but I always seem to hate the line that sometimes comes in during lunch. They have a spacious dining area that allows you to eat peacefully. The most interesting part of this restaurant is the walls. They are covered with road maps of New Jersey. Jerry Mike's has the best subs out there. All of them. The food at this one is no different however I actually enjoy going to this one for the people that work there. I have never run into anyone there who seems to be having a bad day, the store is always clean and they are super efficient on getting your food out to you, even if the line is to the door. Employees at Jersey Mike's Charlotte have no clue how to feed more than 2 people via delivery. They are woefully under manned at at a time when there are millions of people that are unemployed. Why? There are lots of places to get a sub, but for my money Jersey Mike's is the standard by which to judge to others. I grew up on Sub Station II, but those are few and far between, and have more of a mom and pop feel. JM is consistently fresh, fast and friendly (wow, the alliteration!) and with Me Vixkys chips and brownies there is no way to walk out unhappy. Not overly pricey, either. Sometimes you just want a good sub, and when that mood taps me on the shoulder, I go to Jersey Mikes for the Italian on wheat, Mike's way, like I did tonight. My local Jersey Mike's and my favorite! I always get the chipotle chicken philly. I've never been there when CSU students are working...there's never a line when I go and they're quick and friendly. Jersey Mikes is your typical sub place with the only difference being they cut their meat right when you order. You get alot of food at a decent price and they have some unique subs on their menu. I usually get the Cheese steak and have never had a bad experience. Ordering was difficult my first time when I was expecting it to be like subway and I had to have the toppings added later in the process but we've moved on from that and everything is a-ok. So just make sure you tell them all toppings you want when placing your order from the start. Always a line at lunch so get in early or get in late. read more

"Mouthgasm" is not an understatement. They actually cut the slices of meat and cheese deli-style right in front of you when you order your sandwich. The vegetables are fresh and the spices and oils combine to make the subs mindbogglingly juicy-delicious. On top of all this the staff is extremely friendly and they tend to remember you!
